    MONTREAL – A 23 year old male known to police, was stabbed on Thursday evening in the Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montreal.

    The assault occurred at 21 pm at the corner of Notre-Dame street East of 8th avenue.

    According to the first information shared by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the victim was lying on the ground when the witnesses saw and have contacted the authorities.

    “He was injured at the bottom of the body using a bladed weapon, but we do not know more about his state of health at this stage,” said the officer Caroline Chèvrefils of the SPVM.

    An investigation has been opened.
