At the motor show in Geneva, Fiat will introduce a GT version of its 124 Abarth. It will be neither more nor less than the 124 that you already know very well to which has been grafted a rigid roof.

The strategy is different from that of Mazda, and of its MX-5 RF, which shares many design elements with the 124. While the Japanese offers a retractable hardtop that gives the impression of a targa, the Italian proposes a roof in carbon fiber that we can apparently remove or put in place in five minutes.

Very lightweight roof weighs only 16 kilograms.

The GT will be delivered with a silver-painted and decorative trim grey darker. It will also be mounted on wheels OZ 17 inches, which are lighter than the wheels of conventional this model.

The 124 Abarth is powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged 1.4 L that develops a total of 164 horses/steam, which is four more than the 124 of the base.

For the moment, FCA has not confirmed his arrival in Canada.
