Remember, at the end of the film, the young woman was leaving the planet aboard a ship of engineers, taking with her the head of David (Michael Fassbender), and rushed to the stars to try to To join the planet of the creators of humanity. What would make us think that the suite of Prometheus would tell us the rest of his journey. Except in Alien: Covenant , Elizabeth Shaw leaves her starring role at Daniels Branson (Katherine Waterston) . The question we all ask ourselves is why? What happened to Shaw during his interstellar journey? Between the young woman and David, he has obviously established a solid bond of trust! Besides, the latter is visibly touched by Shaw’s compassion and kindness , proof that he did not immediately tilt completely on the dark side. He is then seen plunging the young woman into hibernation, so that she can survive the journey to lead her on the planet of Engineers. Left alone, David then began to study the ship and the technology of the latter. And that’s where things turned a little strange. Arrived on the world of Engineers, David contemplates the surface and utters a rather disturbing sentence: ” Contemplate my work, O Mighty, and despair, ” which comes straight from the poem ” Ozymandias ” of Percy Shelley. And there, it is evidently said that it does not feel good at all and that David has something behind the head . Is he responsible for the fate of Elizabeth Shaw, who was teased in a video of Alien: Covenant ? There is a good chance that the answer to this question will be ” yes “. In any case, this prologue makes it possible to make the link strongly between Prometheus and Alien: Covenant . It remains to be seen then what role David has to play in the appearance of the Neomorph.
