Big Little Lies: Murder, confessions, drama … what we want to see in the first episodes!

Cinema 11 February, 2017

D-8 before the arrival of the event series on HBO and on OCS! Until then, we return to everything we would like to see in the first episodes of Big Little Lies …
On February 19th, we will soon be able to discover Shailene Woodley, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and others in the new HBO miniseries – the lucky ones will also be able to discover it in H + 24 on OCS City. Big Little Lies promises to be a colorful and quality drama and today we propose to come back to what we would like to see in the first episodes of the series .
A murder
We start with the central element of the pitch: a murder. According to what we know, the life of three mothers of families will be upset by a murder that is already announced as the mystery of the whole season . So we’re wondering whether we’re going to see the murder in question or whether it’s simply implied until we can see it in its entirety at the end, when the identity of the guilty party is known. For there is no doubt that the seven episodes will allow the suspense to hang over the murderer to make us suspect all the characters. We know that behind the most perfect families sometimes hide the most cruel people and it could be that Big Little Lies follow this pattern to surprise us.
From the drama
Big Little Lies being a dramatic series, obviously one expects to see quite a drama in all the episodes. The different trailers unveiled so far let us guess at all a glaucous and tense atmosphere and this is what we hope to see in the series . With its tunes of Desperate Housewives meets Pretty Little Liars (better), Big Little Lies is full of potential not only on the side of its plot but also of its casting. Mothers of rich and competitive families who all want to be the Queen Bee, a murder, suspicions and no doubt a lot of jealousy: all elements are gathered to offer us a drama of quality.
Emotion
It goes without saying but it goes better by saying it, we expect to see quite a lot of emotion in the first episodes. After all a corpse will be discovered and one suspects that this should cause quite a lot of things in the characters. But it is also hoped that the investigation and the mystery surrounding the murder will not encroach on the characters and the human side of the series that is already taking place in a fairly calculated environment . For it is surely the culture of appearances that will dominate in Monterey, so that each character can make the other believe that his life is perfect and enviable. But we want to see the fear, the doubts and the sadness of Jane (Shailene Woodley), Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) and Celeste (Nicole Kidman) as their lives rock.
We must wait another week before knowing if this is what we will find in the first episodes of the series. To wait until then, discover the stars of Big Little Lies on magnificent posters ! So, tempted?
