Two elderly men were arrested Friday in the Montérégie region for a series of crimes of a sexual nature which allegedly took place during the 70’s and 80’s in Delson.

Roger Legault, 75 years old, and René Poirier, 81 years, testified Monday in the courthouse of Longueuil under numerous counts, including indecent assault and gross indecency.

They were released under several conditions.

The investigation in this case is conducted by the police of Roussillon, in partnership with the management structure of the investigations on the crimes in the series, coordinated by the Sûreté du Québec.

The authorities believe that the two alleged predators may have other victims, who have not yet manifested themselves.
