2019 will be a watershed year for television, since this is the time that we leave (temporarily) the land of Westeros. Yes, all things have a end and Game of Thrones is no exception.

Then of course, since the time we expect, it has been largely able to prepare but the end of Game of Thrones may still make us a hell of a shock, and it will not play in mode happy end if you want our opinion. Announced for ages, the dissemination of the final season of one of the greatest series of all time is fast approaching.

Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington

After the little teasing of the boss of HBO’s last week, finally the time came to have new concrete. And, as promised, the network has aired the first teaser a few hours ago. A video featuring three of the main characters of the saga, walking the dark corridors and damp of the crypt of Winterfell, beyond the statues of people dear to their heart died for a good time, before finding himself face-to – … of statues in their effigy, sign fateful if it is, then that frosty air invades the galleries. That this is a bad omen, or we did not know it.

Obviously, there is little chance that this teaser is a snippet of one of the episodes and it seems more likely that it has been shot only for the promotion of the series. But at least it puts in the atmosphere. And as good news never come alone, the teaser unveils the official date for the season premiere. It is, therefore, on the 14th of April (in the USA but also in France, on the OCS) that will be our last trip to Westeros.

Finally, the last… we understand each other, since we already know that a prequel with Naomi Watts is already in preparation, and that it will take place well before the events that we know of. But the expectation is at the height of the event : ‘Game of Thrones’ as we have discovered and loved will end soon. Long live Game of Thrones ?

Yeah, we’ll not too have a good laugh apparently
