New heads are added to the cast of the prequel of Game of Thrones alongside Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse.

Located 1 000 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the prequel will tell the end of the Golden Age Heroes of Westeros and the dive of the continent in the darkness. Dark times that should evoke the origins of the Walkers and Whites of the legend of the Stark, far from what we can imagine.

We already knew that George R. R. Martin resumed his chair, supervisor, and Jane Goldman (The woman in black, Miss Peregrine and the children in particular) would be to write. And if it was learned in October 2018 that Naomi Watts would be the star of this new series, there was until now no other information.

Josh Whitehouse

Thanks to Deadline, we learn that it is the filmmaker S. J. Clarkson, who has been engaged to carry out the pilot of the series. It will, therefore, be the first to lead all players. Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse will give a reply to Naomi Ackie (Star Wars Episode IX), Denise Gough (Colette), Jamie Campbell Bower (The fantastic Animals : The Crimes of Grindelwald), Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah (Doctor Who), Alex Sharp (How to Talk to Girls at Parties) and Toby Regbo (The Last Kingdom).

Naomi Watts will be the headliner of the series

If the prequel delivers the same quality of spectacle as Game of Thrones, it could be that history repeats itself and that these names, yet little-known, end up on everyone’s lips.

But until the release of this new series (planned for 2021), HBO will deliver this year’s the last season of Game of Thrones in April , and many other series.
