Good Omens with David Tennant and Michael Sheen will be a series staple of 2019.

If the season 2 of’American Gods was slow to arrive due to production very complicated, the writer Neil Gaiman was not expected to open new horizons. Already become showrunner of the series Starz adapted from his books, it will also be the one from Good Omens, a mini-series adapted from the book, which he co-wrote with Terry Pratchett.

Expected on Amazon Prime, Good Omens tells the adventures of the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and the demon Crowley (David Tennant), who met to try to prevent the end of the world. A duo unusual, for a series that promises to be also nicely quirky and colourful.

Consisting of six episodes, the mini-series, Good Omens is revealed in a first trailer at New York Comic-Con. Spent by Doctor Who, including David Tennant, therefore, Douglas Mackinnon is in charge of the realization of all the episodes.

With the air of a Preacher , and American Gods, Good Omens looks like a cocktail especially funny and explosive, carried by the excellent David Tennant and Michael Sheen, who seemed to be absolutely brilliant in these roles. The universe seen at the bend of the video is more than intriguing, and promises of beautiful surprises.

Jon Hamm, Miranda Richardson, Nick Offerman, Anna Maxwell Martin, Mireille Enos and Frances McDormand (who will be the voice of God) are also in the cast.

Good Omens will happen in 2019 on Amazon.
