When you think about it two seconds, it was still hard to believe all this happened in not even three months since the scandal, Harvey Weinstein, followed closely by the one about Kevin Spacey. And House of Cards almost never recover.

Yet, it all seemed to roll to the flagship series of Netflix. A sixth season which started its shooting, the last of the series, and then, all of a sudden, this was the apocalypse. Hardly the allegations against Kevin Spacey appear in the press that the network has immediately unplugged the jack. In less than 48 hours, the actor has been fired, and the shooting paused the time to find a solution.

Claire Underwood takes control

So from the outset it was clear that the final season would be around Claire Underwood performed by Robin Wright, in the direct continuié of season 5, and that Frank would be evacuated between the two seasons, his absence would weigh heavily on the series.

It was therefore necessary to find a solution. So it is with some relief that we learn via the website Indiewire thatHouse of Cards has officially re-launched its production on January 31, and that it welcomes disaster two new actors, and not least, since it is Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear.

Diane Lane

If the identity of their characters has not yet been released, we know now that they will be brother and sister, surrounded by other emblematic figures of the series. This sixth and final season should count for only 8 episodes and it probably didn’t wait until the next year, having regard to the delay due to the scandal.

It should be noted that the way in which Frank Underwood is going to disappear from the story has still not been revealed by the string and should certainly be a promotional argument of first choice to convince the public to look at the end of the series, in spite of all the scandals that have failed to prevent its conclusion expected.
