Jonah Hill and Emma Stone resurfacing team in the series Netflix Cary Fukunaga : Maniac.

In 2007, the young Emma Stone began her film career in the comedy teen hilarious SuperGrave with Jonah Hill. Eleven years later, the careers of the two americans has exploded. Emma Stone received an Oscar nomination for the The Land , and played for great directors : Woody Allen and Alejandro González Iñárritu, among others. Jonah Hill, he has chained the comedy to success while broadening its horizons by playing more dramatic, such as in The Strategist that allowed him to collect a quote for the Oscars.

If everyone has beautiful projects on the big screen with The Favourites of Yorgos Lanthimos for Emma Stone and The Beach Bum of Harmony Korine for Jonah Hill, the formidable duo of Supergrave is reformed on the small screen with the serial Maniac.

Performed by Cary Fukunaga, director of the first season of True Detective , and of Beasts of No Nation, Maniac is the remake of the series Norwegian namesake. It narrates the life of a patient of a psychiatric hospital (Jonah Hill) , who imagines himself in a fantasy world where he is the hero to escape from the everyday. A fantastic world that it will, in particular, imagine that with Emma Stone, Justin Theroux and Sally Field.

If no official release date has not yet been announced by Netflix, the series is fantastic and cynical is expected to arrive in the summer of 2018 on the platform. In the meantime, Maniac has unveiled the first images selection that is not without reminding us the show FX Legion. Photos that advertise may be the arrival of a trailer very soon… fingers crossed.
