If the imaginary worlds and fantasy often take the dust at the bottom of the bookstores, the movies and the series have managed to propel the genre to the front of the scene, thanks to adaptations like The lord of the rings and Game of Thrones.

And in fact, Netflix seems to be in full preparation for the world post-Game of Thrones since the platform has recently acquired the rights to the trilogy fantastic Leih Bardugo Shadow and Bone (Grisha in France) and those of Six of Crows. The author herself has relayed the information on Twitter this Thursday, January 10 :

“It is real. Shadow and Bone, and Six of Crows will arrive soon on Netflix. The Grishaverse is on the point of taking life ” – Leih Bardugo.

The series is created by Eric Heisserer. The man behind the scenario of the Bird Box is also in charge of writing and conducting (incidentally, he is also the executive producer). The series aims to compile the characters and concepts of the two novels of the Grishaverse of Leih Bardugo in eight episodes of which here is the plot :

Eric Heisserer, writer of the intriguing First contact in 2016

“In a world divided in two by a huge barrier of darkness perpetual, where artificial creatures feasting on human flesh, a young soldier discovers a power that could finally unite his country. But as it struggles to refine his powers, dangerous forces are plotting against it. The thugs, the thieves, the murderers and the saints are at war now, and it will take more than magic to survive. “

With approximately 2.5 million copies sold around the world, the novels of the Grishaverse have known a nice success. It is hoped that the series will be just as good, but for the moment we do not know more about the project.
