Netflix is going to rewrite the French Revolution in a fantasy series, with a history of virus nightmare

Netflix is preparing a new French series fantastic in the heart of the Revolution.

Despite the dismal failure of the Marseille, which is supposed to be the House of Cards French, Netflix announced a few months ago, the launch of seven new French curriculum to its platform. Among them, Marianne a series horror, or Vampires is a series where a family of blood-sucking prevent their teenager from becoming a vampire. Projects that were added to the list already provided to the French curriculum provided between the series Osmosis expected for the spring of 2019, but also the comedy Plan Heart or the serial Arsène Lupin worn by Omar Sy.

It would seem, therefore, that the desires of the original creations, the French are far from over for Netflix. The platform has recently published a press release to announce the production of a new fantasy series based around the French Revolution.

Thus, the series will describe an alternative version of the French Revolution where a mysterious virus named the blue Blood “spreads within the artistocratie and compels the nobility to attack the people”, which does not, of course, let it go. The series, which has not name yet, will stage Joseph Guillotin (said wrongly inventor of the guillotine) at the center of the story as he investigates the series of murders committed because of the effects of this virus.

Described as “epic, wild and romantic” by the producers, the series, Netflix will be scripted by Aurélien Molas (behind the Arte series Maroni) and Gaia Guasti. Its production will start in early 2019. It will be composed of eight episodes of 50 minutes.
