George R. R. Martin is so well known for his work on the novels, Game of Thrones, that you almost forget that another one of his works, Nightflyers, will land on Netflix.

It is not known if the series, which will land in France on Netflix on December 2, next will be or not to be faithful to the short story that inspired it, but everything indicates that we will find the heart of the story, namely a mixture of science-fiction and horror, although cruel as it should be. But what is certain is that there will be still the question of space ship, scientists, and murders craspecs.

This is what we understand by discovering the first 5 minutes of the series, Syfy (u.s. broadcaster of the show) has just put online. We follow the excellent Gretchen Mol (which we had enjoyed very much in Manchester by the Sea and Boardwalk Empire), then it tries both to escape one of his colleagues, eager to spill its guts on the walls, while sending a voice message to the outside of his spaceship.

So much to tell you, if you don’t like the tension and the physical abuse, you may pass a dirty quarter of an hour. For our part, we are waiting for Nightflyers with much more curiosity than the show is actually very discreet these last few months, and we never get anything against a project that reminds us Event Horizon.
