The project of a series on Alfred is not all that new since we’re talking about it anyway since, at least, 2016. But it has never been so close to.

And it is true that between Gotham and Titans, DC and Warner are exploiting to death the universe device of Batman, while we ask one thing only : a series live dedicated to the Dark Knight. But we must believe that it is impossible, what one can understand as it would take away perhaps the aura of exception of the presence of the justicar, as it may be in competition with the projects of cinemas around the character.

Alfred, not him drooling on the rolls apparently

It does not mean that it was not expected necessarily to what we are sort of a spin-off of Alfred, the butler of Bruce Wayne, just like that, fresh. it is beautiful and well confirmed since last year, because while Gotham is preparing to take his leave, a part of the team is already at work on Pennyworth. A spin-off mode prequel, since it should be in the 60s in the United Kingdom and we present a young Alfred played by Jack Bannon, who form a security agency and finds herself employed by the family Wayne even before the birth of Bruce.

A series which should surprise by her tone, if one believes the executive producer Danny Cannon, who comes to reveal the micro to Deadline that the show would not have to be ashamed of his or her classification, R, and was therefore reserved for an adult audience :

Jack Bannon

“This is the DC version of the London of the 60s. And this is not the England that we know. It will look like, but if you look closer, you may wonder what is happening, why it was built like that, of what war they are talking about.

We passed by a public test and there was a party who was aware that it was connected to the DC universe. The feedback has been incredibly positive and this is because our characters are really worked. There are so many things to do and so many things to imagine.”

And Gordon, who wonders how it got there

It would indeed seem, in the words of Cannon, that the future of the series is “crazy” or “deranged” in that it would be so much violent as it would be a gallery of characters whimsical, and rather unexpected, as the descendants of Jack the Ripper for example. In short, more than ever, the universe Batman the tv seems to have smoked crack cocaine, and the series has already received order for 10 episodes with the first broadcast will commence next October. A first episode that is expected on a firm footing, with a Dafalgan not very far away, just in case.
