If Michael Myers seems to have succeeded in his grand return (see our critique of the new Halloween just here), his colleagues have a more difficult time. Except Freddy Krueger, who cares a little bit in the end. Him, he is biding his time. Cushy.

After, Freddy Krueger has already dabbled in the remake-reboot a few years ago, with the whole rotten Freddy, the claws of the night, and we still remember the disaster that it had given (ah ah ah, the micro-naps, it was still not delivered…). The worry is that the character is far too attached to his actor of the original, Robert Englund, and that we don’t see how someone else could embody.

Except that now, Robert Englund is still 71 years old today and he has retired from our nightmares a long time ago. We understand his decision, but it is no less sad because we would very much like to review it. And this is where the miracle occurs as we just learned via Twitter thathe will be making his grand return during a special episode Halloween of the series The Goldbergs.

Family comedy set in the 80s, written and produced by comedian Adam Goldberg, The Goldbergs, who will begin his sixth season on the 26th of September next, has a tradition the past few years involving caméos famous on the occasion of the feast of the dead american. And this year, the episode in question, entitled A nightmare on Elk Street, a direct reference to the original title of the Claws of the night (A nightmare on Elm Street), in which the hero of the series is particularly traumatized after having seen the first Freddy and imagine it will take her family.

History to mark the occasion, the production was thrown a little teasing of the episode on Twitter with Mister Englund in person and in costume. That is what the pleasure of the fans.
