    OTTAWA | The company Erie Meat Products is conducting a recall of chicken nuggets of brand Harvest Creek, because this product could have been contaminated by the bacteria Salmonella.

    The product subject to recall bears the name “chicken nuggets – uncooked – escalopettes breaded” and was sold in Quebec, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick, in the format 2 x 1 kg (CUP 8 29810 93350 2 – CODES BBMY 18-OC 11).

    The canadian food inspection agency (CFIA) said in a press release that the food contaminated by the bacterium Salmonella can cause several health problems, including fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.

    Persons in possession of this product are urged to discard or return it in-store.

    The CFIA stresses that this recall due to “an outbreak investigation of human disease”.
