After you have explored the monsters from the bowels of the earth in Hunters, Trolls, Guillermo del Toro tackles the space and its aliens in Tales of Arcadia : 3 Below, the second chapter in his trilogy of animated Tales of Arcadia.

The story will follow two alien teenagers, Aja and Krel, and their custody of the body from Vex. The three aliens were forced to flee their planet because of a dictator’s evil. Tracked down by a bounty hunter intergalactic, they fail to Arcadia. During the duration of the repair of their ship, the two teenagers will graduate in high school land, a condition to which they will be very hard to get used to.

Diego Luna will give a reply to Tatiana Maslany in the role of the Krel and Aja. Vex, their bodyguard is voiced by Nick Offerman. Since the action takes place in the same city, on will necessarily be a few characters in the first chapter of Hunters of the Trolls, such as Emile Hirsch (Jim Lake Jr.), Charlie Saxton (Toby), Steven Yeun (Steve) and Kelsey Set (Blinky).

The visual signature of Tales of Arcadia : 3 Below seems to be the same as that of the Hunters of the Trolls. Guillermo del Toro and DreamWorks have kept the bright colors and the faces to the door. If Krel, Aja and Vex go from their body alien with four arms, blue and fluorescent to human quite easily, the transformation does not seem so simple for their acolyte transformed into a dog…

The first season of Tales of Arcadia: 3 Below, in 13 episodes of a half-hour each, will be available on Netflix from December 21, 2018.
