The 100 Season 4: Episode 2, Bellamy Makes a Critical Decision, Our Critic

Cinema 9 February, 2017

A few hours after the release of episode 2 of season 4 of The 100, discover our review of “Heavy Lies the Crown”. Watch out for spoilers.
Last night, The CW was broadcasting episode 2 of season 4 of The 100 . After a rather successful first season plunging us directly into the theme of this new chapter, this new episode was in the continuity of what Echoes has proposed to us last week. Three intrigues took place in parallel in “Heavy Lies the Crown” . The first takes place in Polis: Roan is provoked in duel against the leader of the clan Trishanakru, who does not respect the directives of the King of Azgeda. But Roan is too weak to fight, but his ego and honor are at stake, so he decides to do so. However, Octavia will go to kill the man in question in a clean and discreet way, even passing the whole thing for a heart attack. The new role of the pretty brunette in this season is rather pleasant to see. She is not afraid of anything and her murders are always justified. In any case, they are at the service of peace. The direction taken by Octavia is pleasant, especially since the writers could have been tempted to make it go in spin.
At the same time, at Arkadia, Bellamy, Monty and other characters go to the land of the Ice Nation to fetch a machine they need. Yes, it is now decided: Arkadia will be the refuge of hundreds of people during the Apocalypse, but with so many mouths to feed and individuals to quench, unable to provide the necessary space for stocks. There, they discover members of Azgeda who do not give a damn about Roan (they say that their King has not set foot here for more than 3 years). But no matter, they are finally allowed to recover what they came to look for. But The 100 would not be The 100 if each episode did not allow a character to shine through heroism and here it is Bellamy . Monsieur has once again a big heart and he decides to release prisoners rather than to return with the machine … This difficult choice is supposed to put the character in the right way, but everyone does not agree with this one.
In any case, always at Arkadia, Clarke finally confesses the whole truth to his people. Well, it still gave a lot of hope to the latter, but the fact is that no one is kept away. So they can all go to work to help Raven. On the other hand, Jasper seems not to want to bother to kill himself to the task. He wants to live and not survive. The storyline to come is as big as a house: the young man is going to want to ramp up a maximum of people to his cause. Anyway, in every season of The 100, there is a reluctant character who does not want to do like everyone else . Again, it’s Jasper. We meet next week for a new episode of The 100, but in the meantime, find the US series guide of February! What did you think of the episode?
