In the long list of series to zero, which experienced a success huge, there are of course Charmed, the series about the sisters Halliwell, who were witches strong and independent in plots not at all cliché.

We can never say it enough, the series Charmed, it started rather well. Good, it was not great television, but at least it gave a touch of originality in a world in the midst of the reinvention of the interior. And then, as usual, it quickly became no matter what, or how a series supposedly feminist and smart has turned into a concentrate of stereotypes, facilities, scenarios and developments that contradict the starting point.

A few months ago, a door to Hell has opened in Hollywood and a draft of the reboot of Charmed took the opportunity to escape and reach our world. If it was first thought to be a joke, the rumor was authentic, since the CW has produced and will broadcast in the autumn this new series, Charmed , which has nothing to do with the previous one.

We can thus discover the Sisters Pruitt who, after the death of their mother, discover that they are witches. With powers and all, and a mentor (vaguely gay-friendly on the edges because, well, series feminist made by women in a studio run by guys what). As well do we do with the knowledge of Mel, a social justice warrior vaguely lesbian and turbo-worships, her younger sister Maggie, who wants to integrate a sorority, which is ultra fun and has problems with her boyfriend Brian, and finally Macy’s, a brilliant geneticist who is the eldest daughter hidden from the family. And together, they will fight the Evil between the two valves rotten on the love and the clothes.

History to drive the point home, the CW has released a first (and looooongue) trailer of the series for us to drool on his lips. Result : an impressive number of clichés gathered in 3 minutes, the characters caricatured, an aesthetic that is extremely flat and looks like any series of the CW, and valves that fall flat every time. Ah yes, this looks promising.

We could very well keep it for us, but there was no reason that we are the only ones to suffer. BUT WE DON’T KNOW EH, MAYBE THIS WILL BE REALLY VERY VERY GOOD, IT DOES NOT NEED TO SWEAR ANYTHING.
