The series Judge Dredd to finally give some news

So generally, we are rather reluctant to anything that is use of a license by the studios, oddly enough, it is not the case with Dredd. Better yet, we would like to limit that things are accelerating and that the universe is even more exploited.

And all this is because of a single film, Dredd, only released on video in us there has already been a very long time, with Karl Urban in mega form. A little gem totally passed under the radar of the general public that connoisseurs cherish them since they have seen so it made it finally does justice to the character once slain by Sylvester Stallone.

After such a feat, obviously we wanted to see more and what was our happiness when there are more than a year, we started to seriously talk about a tv series picking up this universe. Dubbed Judge Dredd : Mega City One, the project would focus not exclusively on Dredd but also on other Judges, immersed in the megalopolis, sweltering and gangrénée by the crime. A postulate devilishly exciting but nothing more has been news since October last year.

So it is with great pleasure that we learn, via the site Heat Vision, the script writer Rob Williams has taken advantage of the latest edition of the Comic-Con to make up some of the sauce, saying he had just finished writing the pilot episode. For its part, the executive producer, Jason Kingsley could not help but express his joy and his impatience in a small comment :

“I read the script for the pilot and it gave me the same chills as when I saw Dredd for the first time. I am very pleased with how this project came to fruition and I look forward to the next announcements in the months that follow.”

So yes, even if he has not given news, the project is far from having been dropped. On the contrary, even as it also learns that the story is already planned on at least two seasons. Now to answer THE question that everyone asks : Karl Urban will be there finally back, under the helmet of the Judge ?
