The series phenomenon that started in 2014 under the tutelage of Cary Fukunaga and Nic Pizzolatto will soon drill our screens for a new season awaited.

Output in 2014, True Detective has been an instant success with television viewers. Written by Nic Pizzolatto, author of Galveston, adapted later by Mélanie Laurent at the cinema) and directed by Cary Fukunaga, who has recently been in the spotlight thanks to his new series Maniac (our full review), True Detective was the big blow of heart of the year. After a season 2 hosted to shot grenades and that remained through the throat of a good number of viewers, HBO has long hesitated to renew the show.

Fortunately, The hesitation is gone and True Detective has been renewed for a season 3. Which was unveiled recently in a first trailer that smells of nostalgia and the first season.

Level story, the plot unfolds in Arkansas. We will follow the story of Wayne Haynes, played by the excellent Mahershala Ali, a detective haunted by an investigation that is not resolved in the heart of the Ozark mountains. The opportunity to see the oscar-winning actor for his performance in Moonlight in a true lead role alongside Stephen Dorff and Carmen Ejogo.

Side realization, one will find Jeremy Saulnier (the Green Room) which was to showcase the entire series, but finally left the plateau after the first two episodes. The other four are the work of Daniel Sackheim, old road series, including past by The Americans, X-Files, The Leftovers , or Ozark, and Nic Pizzolatto, who is obviously in charge of writing the screenplay with the help of David Milch (Deadwood).

The series will be released, therefore, the January 13, 2019 on HBO, which is four years after the release of season 2. True Detective season 3 will be available for us in the US+24 on OCS.
