You were then revealed who had not survived this final episode . Mary Stuart was expected to be executed under the orders of her cousin, Elizabeth. If this scene broke the hearts of all the fans of Reign, Mary nevertheless found peace. As for Catherine and Elizabeth, they were ready to begin the new chapter of their life and their ascension. Laurie McCarthy, the showrunner, gave additional explanations about the Reign Series Finale . She returned to the superb final scene where Mary finds her first love, Francis. “It was not the plan from the first day but at the beginning of their second season, their alchemy m ‘ Convinced that there would be no such great love for Mary … She faced so many conflicts, darkness and betrayal once she returned to Scotland. She was changed by more and more difficult events and choices, and knowing that the facts of her death were incontestable, I wanted to return to the joy she knew in her life and I thought she could mentally s’ Imagine there too. The idea and filming of the final scene came before Toby Regbo left the show, and long before we knew how many seasons would have. ” , She said. Laurie McCarthy thought it was very important to give a happy ending to Mary even if it came after the death of Reign ‘s heroine . “We explored a very dark territory, played on things that are Really happened, a lot of things that would have happened, and some that happened later in his life or that are the subject of rumors. These scenes were hard to write and we all felt the pain of our character We wanted to feel her joy even in her last moments , “she explained. The showrunner also revealed why she had wanted to focus on the marriage of Mary and Darnley rather than jumping from events to events. ” Darnley was a complicated as well as faulty character, and I was so glad to have Will Kemp to play the role, so we gave everything for his second marriage and saw how the weaknesses of Darnley played in Mary’s downfall. But also, her marriage with Darnley was something daring that could have worked. It could have brought its power to England. It might have undermined Elizabeth in such a way that Mary could have unified the two nations … It was a strategic risk that also bothered Elizabeth and was part of her mistake. How can we not talk about it? “, She confessed. We then gave everything for her second marriage and saw how the weaknesses of Darnley played in the fall of Mary.
While the series Reign has not been renewed for a season 5, Laurie McCarthy would have liked to explore more in depth the life of the three Queens of the series . “I wanted to exploit everything: his third marriage, his flight … there would have been a western in another season, really, it would have been an interesting contrast with the machinations in France (a bloodbath, proportions we And I would have liked to see the rise of Elizabeth in England. However, there are undeniable economic considerations and the CW supported the show as long as it could of all Channel and studio were incredible partners, always opening the doors in a creative way, and I am deeply grateful for the time we had. ” , she confided. The showrunner also explained the fact that Catherine has finally chosen herself than her children. ” We the Prepared for her next chapter, when she had to manage her children fighting against each other, she realizes that some of them should never, never reign. It’s also worked like a Finale Series, as a highlight of a bow for it. At the beginning of the series, she would have done everything for her children (and for Francis she did), but as a hardened and surviving pragmatist she realized that sacrifices might not be worth it . “She concluded. The Reign universe is going to miss us a lot, but maybe Adelaide Kane could be back on TV as soon as Katherine Heigl from Gray’s Anatomy or Candice King from The Vampire Diaries. And you, what do you think of the revelations of Reign’s showrunner?
The post Reign season 4: Series Finale, the showrunner is explained on the end of the series first appeared on The Siver Times.

Last night, the American channel The CW broadcast the latest episode of the series Reign. Then discover our review of “All It Cost Her …”!
What an episode and, above all, what an end! Predictably, Reign took us out handkerchiefs for his latest episode, and if we feel clearly that the plots have been accelerated this year and even more in the final series, it’s all very satisfied with this. If, as usual, writers take liberties with historical facts, the main lines of the fall of Mary Stuart are there . And even if we regret that everything goes so quickly, it must be admitted that Laurie McCarthy and the rest of the team did well to conclude their story in sixteen episodes after learning the cancellation of the show by the CW. Our three queens are obviously at the heart of the intrigues, And the feminist side of the series is once again highlighted through the speeches of Mary and Elizabeth in particular. After these general remarks, let’s go back to episode 16 of Season 4 of Reign , a little more in details.
In Scotland, it is a real jerk of fight to find the newborn of Mary and fortunately it is at this time that James is back to the court. It is he who will find the child and bring it back to his sister, who will decide to call her James in honor of her savior. Mary, who refuses to live in constant fear that Darnley can come back and hurt her child, ends up accepting Bothwell’s proposal and authorizes her to kill her husband, the King of Scotland . If the queen was not ready to go before the murder before, the arrival of her child changes the situation. Unfortunately, nothing happens as planned. First, the explosion does not kill Darnley and Bothwell is forced to finish it with his hands. But, The Scottish Lords turn against him and denounce his crime with John Knox to secure their rear. Bothwell and Mary are arrested for murder …
Meanwhile, in England, Elizabeth is faced with the consequences of her actions, concerning the Spanish fleet but also its connection with Gideon. After killing Jane with her hands, Elizabeth must find a way to get rid of the archduke who presented her with a new marriage contract, much less pleasant than the first. Then comes the letter that Mary wrote in Reign’s Season 4 episode 15 , in which she calls her cousin for help and vows her to give up the English throne. Without the pressure of Scotland and Mary on her throne, Elizabeth is free to remain single, no longer needing the support of Austria or a union with the Archduke. If Mary allows Elizabeth to retain her freedom and power, The Queen of England will not have the same attentions towards her cousin … We still remember the moment when, dressed as a soldier, Elizabeth joined her men, ready to lead her army against the Spanish armada . “I would not bow to any man ,” she chants to her troops and one can only think “YASS QUEEN” .
As for the rest of the season, the French plot is by far the least exciting of the episode and the end of Catherine’s storyline is strange to say the least. Magic, plan of three, a witch who does not die … Yes, yes, we are well in France! If Catherine finally managed to end the quarrel between her two sons about Nicole by asking Emmanuelle to eliminate it, it would seem that this would have unfortunate consequences. First of all, Emmanuelle wants to be paid via a three-way plan with Catherine and Narcisse which allows her to carry in her the child of the devil – apparently . Then she revealed to Catherine that the plan of her sons to destroy Spain would not work. Either she allows them to do so, and Charles will not long remain on the throne, Or she tries to stop them and will be blamed and killed – nice . For the first time, Catherine chose to protect herself rather than her children . Little thought for Claude who really does not have the right to a happy ending, because after losing Leith, she also seems to have lost Luke … Poor Claude, you deserved better.
Finally, the series ends after a jump in the time of 21 years, where we find Mary the day of its execution. Despite a last attempt on the part of his son James – who is now an adult and King of Scotland – with Elizabeth to stop the execution of his mother, Elizabeth makes him understand that she will not change her mind. Either he accepts the execution of his mother and becomes the heir of the English crown, which will finally unite the two kingdoms, or he can save his mother. After so many years, Elizabeth is always fearful of her cousin. Fortunately for our little hearts, we do not witness the execution of Mary and instead we find her in the arms of Francis! Mary has endured all this but death brings her together to her forever love. It is a bitter-sweet end that Reign offers us for his final series , with flashes of the life of the queen of Scotland that bring us balm to heart after this tragic end. What did you think of this episode?
The post Reign season 4: Episode 16, the end of the reign, our critic of the final series first appeared on The Siver Times.

While we have to reveal who the two new characters we met in episode 17 of season 4 of Vikings , the creator of the flagship series of History has played the game of the interview, we Offering numerous spoilers. It is first returned to the kiss exchanged between Bjorn and Astrid , to explain why. He said: “Bjorn is struggling with the impact and consequences of the death of his father. He tried for a long time to become something for himself. Ragnar used to tease him and was very cruel. Bjorn It was like the son or daughter of a famous rock star. How do you manage this legacy? The same thing, you will be compared, and usually it will be bad, so when he returns to Kattegat, he returns to a family situation where his mother is now powerful, she became a queen, she never mentioned that, she Kattegat has just told her that she is going to live with the consequences. “Now she has a lover.” He loves his mother, but part of him says, “I can take this Woman away from you. You can not dominate me. I am as strong as you. ” He does that, I think, to prove a point. He will not sit on his lap. He takes what he wants. And I think that’s a question with which Bjorn will struggle and finally resolve. But for now, he’s still in the shadow of his father and mother, and says “I’ll take what I want!” I’m Bjorn Ironside!
Then he returned to a time that has troubled many spectators: the meaning of the scene between Lagertha and Ubbe : “On the set, someone said, ‘Is Jordan Patrick Smith, who plays Ubbe do Not much like Travis Rimmel younger? ‘ As soon as someone said it, you realize that you were half conscious of it, you realize: ‘Yes, it resembles it!’ It is an extraordinary thing, and it echoes many of the ideas that I already had for the character of Ubbe: all sons inherited different aspects of Ragnar, his psychology or his philosophy or other. , For me, was always going to be the closest to him, psychologically, and the one who was going to be most tempted to try to reach his vision of an installation in England or elsewhere. In my mind, Ubbe was the heir to Ragnar’s philosophy, and especially his temperament, Jordan is also Australian, like Travis, so he has a more relaxed attitude, I think Lagertha sees these things in Ubbe and knows that she is threatened by the sons of Ragnar, she knows that she has done something that demands vengeance and, in a sense, she holds out her hand to him, hoping, perhaps, that he will not be like Ivar and demand his death. , What happens under the surface is a plea not to kill her, or at least not to kill her too soon. She will accept her fate, of course she will, but she reaches out to Ubbe because Ubbe is one that reminds him most Ragnar ” .
Floki and Helge are two characters who are used to being rooted in Viking culture, but they both reacted differently to their recent trip. Floki lived a religious ecstasy in the mosque and Helge adopted an orphan . In this regard, Michael Hirst said: “It is widely known that Bjorn Ironside sailed around the Mediterranean I interrupted his first adventure to bring him back to his father’s death, but one of the things he inherited. Of his father, it is his curiosity, he is curious about other cultures, he follows what he thinks his destiny and Floki follows him, but the latter is more and more in crisis. They attacked Moorish Spain, and Ragnar’s death had affected Floki almost more deeply than everyone else, and it was his state of mind that he and Helge were going through difficult times. To adopt someone to replace the dead child she had and to continue with life. But Floki seems to understand that he can not simply return to his old life, his daily life, that things collapse too much These tensions on their relationship, these changes – they have moved away and it will have very spectacular results. Floki trying to deal with the consequences of the death of Ragnar, and he tries to find out who he is ” .
The designer is also back on the character of Rollo, assuring that “I do not want to say too much, but the answer is most definitely yes, we’ll see Rollo. – And not just in the mind – is still high part of this series and part of the history of the Vikings in the future ” . We also learn more about the fortification that Lagertha asked for! Will it be useful? “Absolutely and brutally, yes, it will, and of course it really comes back, like so many things, to the ambitions of King Harald.” When we met King Harald the first time he arrived in Kattegat and told Aslaug he would become king of Norway. Anyway, you should never forget it ” . A very bad omen for our heroes!
Finally, Michael Hirst spoke about the character Lagertha, how she killed Aslaug and the consequences that await him: “I do not look at social networks, but of course people relate me what he says. And apparently, many people did not like what Lagertha did in Aslaug. “If you’re raised with the westerns, you do not shoot someone in the back. But it is an important point, of course, Lagertha did not need to do it, she knew very well that in doing so she was in great danger, but I think that, Apart from the need to avenge the death of someone in Viking culture, there is another great part of this culture: pride, pride in your own accomplishments, courage. What Aslaug had done to her, Lagertha could not let her get away. Whatever the risks, whatever they may be, she decided that Aslaug must die for the humiliation she had suffered. So I think Lagertha did it knowing that she would probably be killed by the sons, or one of the sons, of Ragnar. And she is ready to accept it. But all she tries to do in the meantime is to continue being a good queen, being a good housekeeper, doing the things she wants to do, doing the right things and accepting the things that are the will of the gods. In a sense, it is fatalistic about it, but still clever enough to try to get friendly allies, as Ubbe ” . Now remains to discover what the character we reserve in episode 18 of season 4 Vikings, who unveils his promo pictures!
