You’ve been waiting for it for months and that’s it, the 2017 Series World Cup kicks off and it’s time to vote here to see all your favorite series getting closer to the final podium. While waiting to have the first results, we offer you a short return on some of the best episodes of this television season 2016-17 . Obviously we can not quote them all, so do not hesitate to fill in the list and tell us what you think are the most deserving series.
Agents of SHIELD – 4×15 “Self Control”
This fourth season of Agents of SHIELD proved to be a success from start to finish , with three fascinating arcs worn by agents always on top. But we must admit that the episode that won the palm is for us the 4×15 which closes the second part “LMD” and lays the foundations of the third: Agents of Hydra . Suspicions, clones and touching reunion, everything is there to show us the best of Agents of SHIELD.
The Walking Dead – 7×01 “The Day Will Come When You Will not Be”
Despite a season not constant, The Walking Dead has offered us very good episodes this year, including the premiere season. Obviously the shock was total after the death of Abraham then Glenn, but it is not only because of this that the episode has marked us . Not only did the season premiere of Season 7 feature a Negan as cruel and charismatic as expected, but it also revealed a side of Rick totally unknown up to now. From the performance of Andrew Lincoln to the grief of Maggie, many things make this episode a success.
Gray’s Anatomy – 13×24 “Rings of Fire”
The season of Gray’s Anatomy 13 proved a bit soft but it is in its last episodes the writers awoke. Rather than killing Stephanie whose actress was cast for another series, it was a heroic outing that was written to her, and what a release. An awesome fire, courage to resell and amazing wisdom, this has allowed Stephanie Edwards to leave the series worthily while offering us a final season memorable.
Big Little Lies – 1×07 “You Get What You Need”
Jean-Marc Vallée’s miniseries based on Liane Moriarty’s book was acclaimed, not only because of its 5-star cast. After an intensity that climbed crescendo throughout the season, the series ended on a magisterial final season that paid tribute to all her heroines . Brutality, passion and denouement have blended to offer us without a doubt one of the best episodes of 2017.
13 Reasons Why – 1×11 “Tape 6, Side A”
Certainly the 13 episodes of the series were heartbreaking, but it was probably episode 11 that was among the most anticipated and most feared at the same time. Clay’s cassette finally let us know that Hannah did not blame her, but the revelations that accompanied the episode were more than hard to digest . In short, an intense condensation of violence mingled with a touch of relief that earned him his place among the best episodes of 2016-17.
Orange is the New Black – 5×13 “Storm-y Weather”
Last episode of a successful season, “Storm-y Weather” showed us the offensive on Lichtfield to continue to highlight the violence of the forces even against peaceful detainees. After three days of revolt, the semi-freedom of all the prisoners ended in a brutal assault that resulted in a cliffhanger . The image of Piper, Alex, Tayster, Red, Gloria and the others in the pool, holding hands with the music of Cinematic Orchestra in the background was enough to make it one of the best episodes of the season. The first episode is bof but these series are worth gold

The series is like everything, sometimes we must persevere a little to discover their true value …
Sometimes when you watch a series, the magic operates from the first minutes and we find ourselves wanting to watch the barely finished pilot … And sometimes it’s a little the opposite, the first episode is slow, the characters are not Not very endearing, in short, we do not catch what. And yet, behind a failed driver often hide little nuggets next to which we almost passed . Many comedies are in this category since, typically, they are series based mainly on the characters, on their alchemy and their humor rather than on a thrilling plot. And it’s hard to appreciate them without attaching a minimum to them and finding them nice to laugh at their jokes, but it’s a complicated exercise in an episode, especially when it only lasts for about thirty minutes.
The Office US
A excellent series sometimes corresponds to a mediocre driver. Too close to the UK version, the very first episode of The Office presents us a Michael Scott heavy and not very funny ( if it changes in the sequel ) with jokes falling flat . Add to this some characters who do not always feel comfortable – like Dwight – and you get an episode that does not really want to watch next . And yet, after a difficult season, it is only happiness.
The 100
The apocalyptic shows also have their failures. With its plot inspired by Kass Morgan’s books, The 100 had a good foundation but introduced us in a clumsy way to a universe not always coherent and especially to cliché characters as possible. Teenagers stereotyped and unbearable, dialogues flat and predictable … Everything was combined to flee this series . Yet after the pilot, but especially after the first half of season 1, the characters evolve – and reflect – and the plot catches us up, phew.
Agents of SHIELD
We adore Phil Coulson and the whole world of the Avengers, difficult to hang on to the pilot of Agents of SHIELD. And for good reason, between his intrigue a little too already seen and his characters too smooth, the pilot is certainly not the best episode of the series . All categorized in a rigid role, May, Jemma, Fitz, Phil and the others are far from expressing their potential that one ends up discovering in the following episodes and this for our greatest happiness.
The L Word
It must be admitted that the pilot of The L Word plunges us directly into the mood, but perhaps a little too directly justly. Bette, Tina, Alice, Shane and all the little lesbian group in Los Angeles do not take tweezers and are almost more graphic than most episodes . Moreover, to see all this from the point of view of the ingenious Jenny who discovers this world by opening his eyes is a little cliché and does not honor a series that shows much more subtlety and complexity in the sequel.
Parks and Recreation
Like many comedies, the pilot of Parks and Rec is not really a success and has difficulty to seduce us with his clumsy characters and her atypical heroine. Leslie Knope is not shown in her best light and it will take a few episodes before realizing her charisma and intelligence . Season 1 is not the best but the rest of the series shows us the real source of inspiration that is Leslie, surrounded by a team as endearing as funny.
To these series which have not been helped by their pilot one can also add How I Met Your Mother with his laughs recorded which has passed as a pale copy of FRIENDS , or even FRIENDS herself who had not Quite seduced the critics at the time. Seinfeld suffered the same fate, as did 30Rock and his rough pilot. In short, we do not always succeed all at once, but it is not a reason to give up, a beautiful lesson that works both in life and for series! And you, which pilots did not convince you?

Agents of SHIELD season 4: Episode 19, Phil Coulson is back, our critic

Yesterday evening a new episode of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD was broadcast on ABC. Check out our review of “All the Ladies’ Men” and watch out for the spoilers!
New week, Agents of SHIELD’s new season 4 episode on ABC in which Daisy and Jemma are still stuck in the framework. The intrigue of this parallel world in which all the relations of force are reversed continues to excite us but it seems that we are beginning to see the end come. In episode 19, May’s arrival of “the good side” and the advances of AIDA accelerate a little things. May and Daisy escape thanks to the return of Quake and take advantage to seriously hurt Ophelia which is propelled in reality with Ivanov. His offer of protection was nevertheless accompanied by a touching discussion between him and Daisy that only reinforces the feeling that Ward, this Ward, will miss us when Daisy and Jemma are back in the real world.
Finally Jemma and Trip went on reconnaissance mission to find the secret project of Hydra. If they arrive in the right place, it is not in the good universe that they are … But it allows them nevertheless to discover the real plan of AIDA: to build a machine that creates organic materials to from scratch. Like a true Pinocchio, AIDA is dreaming of human flesh and bone and once that is the case, it will be totally free from its programming and the grip it has on it and will be able to do all the evil Which it wants to SHIELD agents and Radcliffe . The stakes are always greater in this season and one continues to strongly appreciate the construction of the plot. The winks here and there to the real world and to the past of its characters are always the proof of the good construction of an alternative universe where few things are left to chance and this is what makes this plot a success . Agents of SHIELD Season 4: Episode 14, LMD take power, our critic

Check out our review of Agents of SHIELD’s Season 4 episode 14, which was aired last night on ABC, as well as the promotional video of the upcoming episode!
Yesterday evening, ABC broadcast episode 14 of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD which in particular opposed the agents to the Superior, who is determined to put an end to Coulson and his team. If we were to expect an enormous face-to-face, we must admit to being disappointed by this episode which drags a little in length – notably because of the flashbacks between Coulson and May, which do not bring much to the ‘plot. “The Man Behind the Shield” begins as the team is still trying to locate Ivanov and Radcliffe in order to save Melinda May and Jeffrey Mace. Very soon, Coulson discovers that the Superior is totally obsessed with him and he understands that he must return to Russia, in a place where he already went while he was on a mission with Melinda. The flashbacks of this mission support the speech of Ivanov – who wants Coulson and SHIELD because his Russian teammates were tortured and killed following this mission. However, once again, it seems that the screenwriters are trying to continue to sell us a romance, or at least an attraction, between Coulson and May that is really hard to imagine.
During the episode Ivanov, the Superior, confronts Jeffrey Mace and takes advantage of it to give us a little of his past. Unfortunately, its origins are scarcely touched and it is regrettable that it does not give more thickness to his character who remains a simple “bad guy” who wants revenge. Moreover, his confrontations, first with Coulson and then Daisy, were a little too fast for our taste. The biggest twist of the episode is of course the fact that Daisy, Coulson, Mack and Mace were all exchanged by LMD, as Fitz and Simmons discover at the end . It seems that FitzSimmons are the only two humans left on the team and we are eager to see how they will get out of this situation. One imagines that the advances made by Fitz during the episode,
In the end, “The Man Behind the Shield” looks more like a transition episode, in which you can see the LMDs gradually take over the power over the SHIELD. It is regrettable that the confrontation between the Superior and Coulson has not been more poignant and it is hoped that the rhythm of the next episodes will be a little more sustained. The promotional video of episode 15, which you can see above, shows us in any case that the LMD will directly attack Fitz and Simmons in order to be able to replace them, too, by humanoids . Agents of SHIELD season 4: Episode 13, the origins of AIDA, our critic

Last night, the American channel ABC broadcast episode 13 of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD. Then discover our review of “BOUM”, as well as the promotional video of the next episode.
The last episode of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD is very aptly named since the team is confronted with inhuman with the power to explode. “BOOM” begins as Coulson is in Spain with Mack, determined to find a way to locate Radcliffe and by extension May. To do so, they started looking for the woman behind AIDA, a certain Agnes who knows well Radcliffe, partly because it has already tried to save her cancer . Meanwhile, Daisy Mace, Fitz and Simmons have to manage the sudden death of Senator Nadeer in a mysterious explosion . Indeed, Shockley visited him just before the attack, trying to transform it into inhuman. But what he had not seen was that it was he who transformed himself, literally becoming a human bomb and being able to regenerate himself completely after the explosion. He is therefore responsible for the death of Nadeer. Is it too early to eliminate one of the great villains of this season? On our side, we do not think we will miss it particularly. The team must then deal with Shockley – once Fitz and Simmons found that it was he who was the cause of the explosion – and this task falls to Daisy and powers.
Moreover, we really thought we would lose the Director Jeffrey Mace in this episode, because, after he discovered that the serum is injected to become superhuman is deadly and kills him slowly , it is captured by The Russians wanting to protect the rest of the team. Her character really becomes increasingly endearing – he just has to see his face when Jemma told he will not be the next Captain America – and we hope he can remain a member of the team In which it is just beginning to integrate and find its place. Agents of SHIELD Season 4: Episode 7, a new pact with the devil, our criticism

Last night the American channel ABC broadcast the episode 7 of Season 4 of Agents of SHIELD. Then discover our critique of “Deals with our Devils” and the promotional video of the next.

After months of waiting, we finally discovered what happened to Coulson, Fitz and Robbie. If you remember, at the end of episode 6 of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD , Eli, with his experience, has removed the three men without knowing where they had landed. “Deals with our Devils” shows exactly where the other was completed and the rest of the team is therefore looking for three missing while Eli is the trunk. Daisy is convinced that they are all three still alive – particularly because they have already survived so many other things – and his optimism and faith will push May to do all it can to find a way to get them back. Coulson, Fitz and Robbie are indeed alive , but maybe not for long. They are in another dimension, able to see and hear the other but they do not hear. But this is everything, then they are “sucked” more toward the bottom, Ghost Rider inside Robbie is not for this alternative. Apparently, he really knows what to expect and has no desire to return. He managed to get out the body of Robbie and put in the first one it finds: Mack.
Mack will then find themselves possessed by Ghost Rider and heading straight to Chinatown, Daisy and Robbie on his heels. Finally, Robbie convinces Ghost Rider returned from his body telling him that Mack is not made for it and offering it a new market: “help me to avenge me of Eli, settle my account and I set in want. All yours ” . The vengeful spirit can not shrink from such a proposal and noted side one can not help but say that Robbie just made a terrible mistake . Moreover, if one believes the last image of Mack, it was much upset by the Ghost Rider pass in his body and that should probably have consequences later. Meanwhile, May is convinced that the answer to save Coulson, Fitz and Robbie is in the Darkhold, this magical book that Coulson specifically asked him not to touch. While Radcliffe celebrates victory on his side, AIDA continues to delve into the Darkhold and SHIELD could then end up with an enemy more formidable Eli . We do not know you, but it is thought that Aida possession Darkhold not bode well. Finally, we finally discovered what was the secret mission of Simmons and it concerns the brother of Nadeer senator who is in a cocoon of Terrigenesis. He is remembered as a Nadeer asked Mace to favor in exchange for his silence about Ghost Rider and Daisy.
