Yes, if it was not easy to say goodbye to the characters of The Vampire Diaries , the leaders of the chain had the excellent idea to launch their new TV show at the right time. Riverdale: Episode 13, A New Murder, Our Critic of the Season Finale!

While Riverdale’s episode 13 has just been aired on the CW, let’s get back together about the highlights of “The Sweet Hereafter”!
It’s already over ! And yes the meltynauts, the very first season of Riverdale has just ended on the American network and we will admit it, the show will miss so much we started to gently make a place in our hearts. And the least we can say is that the small town still has many secrets. His looks at Betty speak volumes and even if he confessed to Veronica that he wants to experience a love story with similar intensity, we are not really convinced. Unfortunately, not sure he really can sort out his feelings anytime soon. For her part, Cheryl seems to have reached a limit and it is especially hard to see how her mother treats the girl. As furious as she may be, Cheryl does not deserve such a denigration and so we are rather pleased with the decision of the pretty redhead. Now that the Blossom power symbol has disappeared, does their family have a chance to regain some unity? We hope. It must be said that we were very touched by the distress of Cheryl and it would be interesting to discover it in this new light from next season . Will this test allow her to become a true friend for our fantastic four? Meanwhile, Hermione decided to take her husband’s side completely, forgetting almost everything Fred did for her when everyone turned her back on him.
Veronica does not bother to remind her that if she managed to keep her face during Hiram’s imprisonment, it was because Fred gave her a job. We will not hide from you that we are eager to meet Ronnie’s father. No doubt it should offer serious twists to the plot. On the other hand, Jughead is now a pure and hard snake and something tells us that this new status should cause him harm in his relationship with Betty. While the two lovers finally confessed their feelings, can Betty accept that her boyfriend is involved in shady business? Finally, the last scene left us really bruised. Indeed, hard to imagine that such a thing could have happened even less to Fred. Will he have a chance to survive? We will have to wait to find out. One thing is certain, this twist could have a real impact on Archie and force him to question himself. The day when … Riverdale has shaken up the kind of teen show!

Hello everyone! On this rainy Sunday, I find you for a whole new chronicle. While I invited you to relive the day when … the superheroes came to power on American television , I wanted to come back to one of the events of this mid-season on the CW : Arrival of Riverdale. Based on the Archie Comics, the series plunges us into an atmosphere as captivating as disturbing contrary to the clichés that usually make law in teen-shows. Riverdale is a modern-day series that draws on the problems of our generation without worrying about the scenarios seen and revisited. For if the series offers us the stereotypes of the characters that we are accustomed to cross in teen shows, it is to better break the codes and denounce the injustices yet too familiar of the high school students . Produced by Greg Berlanti, past master in the art of getting strong messages across the small screen, Riverdale almost did not happen. Indeed, a pilot had already been refused in 2014 before being improved in 2015 when the success of the producer has completely exploded. Thanks to an irreproachable staging, a gifted cast and a red thread, Riverdale brings together all the ingredients that could make her a huge success.
And his first asset lies clearly in his way of associating a very 60’s style with extremely modern characters. This offers a very interesting contrast. And to tell the truth, I had the regular impression of seeing Sandy or Danny de Grease at a time when everything would be allowed including getting out of the boxes. The women who, at that time, had to struggle to impose their views, are real fighters here. Secret, strong, intelligent and determined not to let themselves go, they have everything to inspire us in a world where sexism has unfortunately not disappeared . Everything is subtle in Riverdale and above all, everything is assumed. So yes, the basic recipe follows the pattern of hundreds of teen shows before it but if you really pay attention, you will see that it often comes out of the box. The last episode has brilliantly addressed the delicate subject of slut-shaming unfortunately so present at the time when all our actions and gestures are tracked on the internet.
But Riverdale also stands out by offering to follow the adventures of heroes far from being irreproachable. Even Betty, who seems so smooth and sweet at first, proves to be complex and unsuspected. Where we would have expected clear intrigues from the start, we had the right to total blurring. And yes, the love triangle Betty / Archie / Veronica that would have been so easy to exploit lasted only one episode. Likewise, Archie, crazy in love with his music teacher, nevertheless cracked for Veronica. This translated to perfection the sometimes confused feelings and emotions that one can feel when one is a teenager . Riverdale is also returning to the teen show’s first steps by focusing on young people rather than lingering too long on the problems of adults … at least for now. In doing so, the suspense grows thicker and we are still more delighted to know what really happened in order for Alice Cooper to commit such hatred to Jason Blossom.
Personally, I think I first cracked for the beauty of the pictures. Riverdale has a rarely matched aesthetic that gives it a real identity . A universe clearly enriched by a soundtrack deep and well brought. No question of turning the show into a musical, music serves, embellishes and highlights the storylines in order to give them that timeless dimension that we love so much. Because even if the series were to be canceled in the coming months, it will have left its imprint on the American network. Do not rely on appearances, Riverdale is far from being a teen-show like the others. As for the murder of Jason, I still have the feeling that Miss Grundy is too wary for it to be really possible. Why did you stop Archie from entrusting what he had heard? He never intended to involve her. On the other hand, it is clear that she exerts a very unhealthy influence on the young man. Does it have anything to do with Jason’s disappearance? One thing is certain, this series is a real breath of fresh air in my eyes and after having literally cracked for Dawson, Newport Beach or even Les Frères Scott, I am eager to fall in love with Riverdale.

Last night, The CW was broadcasting episode 3 of Riverdale . Entitled “Body Double” , the episode dealt with a very current subject and yet quite recurrent in teen-shows: slut shaming. It all starts with Veronica, who agrees to go with Chuck, one of the most popular guys in high school. But after the evening spent with two, Veronica finds herself in the middle of a scandal in high school, with a picture of her that turns on the students’ phones. Determined to take revenge, she embarks on Betty’s adventure and other girls (including Ethel, a character played by Shannon Purser, known for her short role as Barb in Stranger Things) in order to make masks fall in the high school boys. This intrigue once again allowed Betty and Veronica to get closer, thus sealing their friendship for good . The dynamic between the two protagonists is in any case formidable, showing us that this friendship is a real highlight in the series.
Parallel to all this, Archie confessed to having heard a shot at the night when Jason disappeared. Obviously, he left the name of Miss Gundry out of all this, but the end of the episode reveals that the secret relationship between the two characters could well be revealed to the big day soon. In any case, the father of Archie seems to have kiffé the teacher of music and one already imagines complications thereafter between father and son. The hero of the series clearly did not have the most interesting role this week. As we said above, the girls were at the heart of the plot. Besides, Betty’s revenge revealed a rather bizarre side of her personality when she took herself for her sister, Polly, addressing Chuck as if he were Jason . One wonders what the writers reserve us on this side …
One thing is certain: with this episode Riverdale proves once again that this is one of the best series of this mid-season. The mystery intensifies around Jason’s death and the Blossom family seems to hide many secrets . For the moment, no character attracts suspicions, but the whole thing should unveil in the coming weeks. Riverdale: Episode 2, a suspect arrested, our critic

While Archie hesitated to talk to the police, a first suspect was arrested in episode 2 of Riverdale. Discover our review of “Chapter Two: A Touch of Evil”.
Is the Riverdale series worth a look? After the first episode aired last week, we showed you our verdict . As much to say that the pilot had convinced us and wanted to see the continuation of the teen show that wants to be very different from the other series proposed by the CW. Episode 2 of Riverdale he confirmed our first impression? The editorial of melty you to discover his criticism of “Chapter Two: A Touch of Evil.” As you can imagine, the discovery of the dead body of Jason Blossom, shot with a bullet in his head, destroyed all the hopes of the inhabitants and plunged the city in an even more burdensome atmosphere than before. An atmosphere that one feels thanks to the dark and agonizing music of this beginning of episode. Archie feels guilty. Mrs Grundy still refuses to talk to the police about the shooting they heard and to top it all, Betty refuses to speak to him in Riverdale . But this is finally settled quickly despite the recommendations of his mother, Alice, still so detestable! Betty also forgives Veronica who does not return herself but after all, how to resist against cupcakes?
Meanwhile, the town sheriff made an announcement to the effect that the investigation Blossom Jason is now a homicide investigation . Cheryl wants his revenge and even throws a hashtag to find the culprit. There is one who lives with her time! Following the strange behavior of Archie, the main Weatherbee and his best friend Jughead, begins to suspect in Riverdale . While Betty finally has more trouble to forget her weekend, Weatherbee asks to talk to Archie who begins to panic. Geraldine Grundy confesses her feelings are true and convinces him to say nothing to protect their story. Except that Jughead sees them! Later, Veronica and Betty argue and Archie BFF proves that it is perhaps not as nice she looks. As she gets closer to Cheryl, she asks a ton of questions about her sister Polly, Jason’s girlfriend. Cheryl suggests she could have killed her brother. Betty is out of her and shows her dark side by promising to kill her if she does not leave home. Is the sweet Betty finally able to kill in Riverdale? Mystery! Meanwhile, Jughead thinks that Mrs Grundy is trying to convince Archie to keep quiet to protect herself and that she is playing with him. The tone rises and this time it is the hero who shows his dark side!
The next day, Alice purifies her daughter’s room after passing Cheryl. That made us laugh! But she still prevents Betty from visiting her sister. Reggie, whom we will also love to hate, accuses Jughead then Archie of having killed Jason which triggers a fight but also convinces the hero to speak in the main. While the football game, dedicated to Jason, begins, Cheryl feels like seeing her brother in Archie. She bursts into tears and confesses to Veronica that her brother was supposed to come back. Whaaaat? Would Jason have engineered his disappearance that would have gone wrong? Probably! As Archie goes to the Principal’s office, the Sheriff comes in and arrests Cheryl, who confesses herself to being guilty. In addition, we learn that Jason is not dead on July 4 but a week later. But what really happened? If this second episode of Riverdale was less than revelation, the twist and the final confession was even more surprising and disturbing as the driver. The mystery is getting bigger and personalities are unveiling more and more. We wait to see episode 3 of Riverdale early Thursday evening.
