Finally ! Summer is slowly approaching and HBO has decided to teaser the season 7 of Game of Thrones, and we start with a brand new poster of the most mysterious …
Winter is coming .. . Not at home, but in the universe of George RR Martin spring seems far away and it is rather a rough winter that is preparing for Jon Snow and all his band. While we were offering you two new teasers for season 7 of Game of Thrones , today is the very first official poster that is revealed below. The most passionate fans know, the fanmade posters invaded the canvas during the hiatus and they were as realistic as full of spoilers. This time it is HBO that it comes and it explains the fact that this poster says nothing but teaser the season 7, without date or any indication . Yet nothing that the graphics is speaking and we have all the time to speculate on what this famous poster means waiting for the broadcast of the next season. The poster is almost entirely covered with ice for obvious reasons: the war against the White Walkers is preparing and will soon break into Westeros.
However, in the middle of all this ice, flames dance and impose on the iced blue to symbolize perfectly the whole Game of Thrones saga, taken from the books whose complete name is “A Song of Ice and Fire” , literally “A Song Ice and Fire “which has been translated by us as ” The Iron Throne ” . But in addition to what is at the heart of the story from the beginning, this mix of the two elements could obviously also be the symbol of the meeting between the two key characters in the series: Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow . Their respective stories and their prominence in the series as well as the many spoilers on the plots of season 7 do not deceive: Daenerys and Jon should soon meet to fight together against the White Walkers who want to invade the kingdom. To say that it is a season rather epic that HBO tease with its poster that does not say much and we are eager to finally discover a trailer of the suite to help us wait until this summer. While waiting for this happy day, we listed 5 things we absolutely wanted to see in season 7 of Game of Thrones! And you what do you think ? As usual, the theory that fascinates us comes from Reddit and talks about the “good” and “bad” in history, especially the Stark and the Targary. It is often said that history is written by the winners and a surfer in particular wondered if this is not what happened in Game of Thrones . According to him, Jon Snow and the Stark would win the war and would tell the story, History by Samwell Tarly by modifying the facts a little to justify their accession to the Throne. In order to visualize all this, the Reddit member imagines Sam writing the story – the series and the books – with Jon Snow or Sansa Stark over his shoulder, embellishing the facts, Of the style “good idea to have invented a Targaryen origin, Ned slept so much with everyone that it was necessary to invent something to restore his honor and make me more legitimate.”
This would mean that those who eventually win the war would try to justify themselves with a positive narrative – a technique widely used in history – and that many major events would otherwise have unfolded. One can imagine for example that Eddard Stark was really a traitor who tried to take the Throne to Joffrey and that it is indeed the Stark who poisoned him by pointing the Tyrell with his finger . The internet user also explains that Maester Pycelle often uses this technique and that he often embellishes the facts to make the Lannister pass for heroes and the Stark for traitors. Obviously this theory is difficult to accept since it makes our darlings pass for tyrants, and several elements make that ” It will probably not be true. But it must be confessed that it corresponds quite to the “bitter-sweet” end that George RR Martin promised and that this would be a famous twist.
Yet like all theories, this one has some flaws. The first is the most obvious: making us believe that Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Ned Stark and the others were the heroes of the story while they are actually worth no better than Cersei Lannister and Company . Besides, it would mean, since Sam is also part of the story, that someone must also write his story and that it would be an even more complex mise en abyme. Finally, in spite of a certain attractive aspect due to its originality, this theory would somewhat end up in the mode “all this was only a dream” that many series, films and books have already used and which are often very disappointing For the fans. We admit that we would have the ” Impression of being fooled and that one is not sure to appreciate such an end … Anyway it remains a theory and there is very little chance for it to prove true . While waiting to learn a little more about the end of the series, find out in which series the actor Iwan Rheon will play after Game of Thrones ! And you, what do you think of this theory?
The post Game of Thrones season 8: Are we going to find out that the Stark are the bad guys in history? first appeared on The Siver Times.

After listening to 3 major plots that will probably not be seen until the end of Game of Thrones’ season 8 , we’re just back at the end of the saga and wondering how all this could end. Some time ago, author George RR Martin stated that A Song of Ice and Fire would end in a “bittersweet” or bitter sweet and the possibilities to match this description are many . We propose you a possible end for Game of Thrones knowing that it is only speculation and that it is also possible that the end of the series and the end of the books are not quite identical. As usual, Reddit members like to find theories and this one is far from being uninteresting.
An Internet user points out that in addition to R’hllor, Melisandre has already spoken of his supreme enemy, the “Great Other” god of cold and darkness. She describes him as “a wooden face, a white body, a thousand red eyes and a boy with a wolf head at his side” that she assumes to be the Great Other champion, just as she assumed that Stannis was The champion of the Lord of Light. Could it be that Bran Stark, who by his connection with the Sacred Wood and his wolf, although he is dead, could be the champion of the god of darkness? In this case and if Jon is the champion of R’hllor, we can expect a confrontation between Jon and Bran at the end of the series at the end of which good or bad would prevail – if We define things in a Manichean way.
Obviously this supposes several things, starting with a correct interpretation of the visions of Melisandre – area in which it has not shone so far. After having mistaken Stannis Baratheon, there is no evidence that she is not once again making a mistake since it is also possible that Daenerys is the champion of R’hllor . But it must be admitted that a fight between the two half-brothers / cousins, being part of the family that introduced us to the series, would constitute a bittersweet end. Anyway we still have all the time before us to speculate on the end of the series and it is not the possibilities that are missing. While waiting to know what will happen in the last episodes, we wondered if Daenerys would die to make a prophecy in Game of Thrones’ season 8. And you what do you think ?
The post Game of Thrones Season 8: What could be the end “sweet-bitter” promised by George RR Martin? first appeared on The Siver Times.

But before knowing who will not survive the series, we are interested in intrigues and differences with the books of George RR Martin . Watch out for possible spoilers in the sequel. It is known that the adaptation of such a work is complicated and that it necessarily implies some sacrifices with in particular the disappearance of certain intrigues yet crucial in the books . We propose you a little return on three stories that we will probably never see in the series since it remains – theoretically – only 13 episodes.
Lady Stoneheart
This is not the first time we’ve talked about it, and it’s probably not the last one either. As readers know, Catelyn Stark was not supposed to disappear after the Red Wedding. In the books the Purple Nuptials marked the rebirth of Ned’s wife as Lady Stoneheart / Lady Heart of Stone, whose ultimate goal is to avenge the death of her son Robb Stark . However, after several seasons in which hope continued, Catelyn was not to come back from the dead to take the lead of the Brotherhood and hunt down all those who had been involved in the Red Wedding, And that’s a shame. Although this plot does not really affect the other major arcs of the series – and that’s probably why it was cut – Lady Stoneheart remains a key figure that we would have liked to see interacting with Brienne.
Catelyn should have come back.
Aegon VI Targaryen
The series gave no indication that it was going to introduce it, but in the books it is there, the other heir of the Targaryen. Son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Elia Martell, Aegon reappears when everyone believes him dead, killed by Gregor Clegane during the arrival of the Lannister at King’s Landing . In A Dance with Dragons , we learn that Varys would have exchanged Aegon for another baby before he was killed. The heir of the Targaryen would have been brought up and educated, notably by Jon Connington, before crossing the road to Tyrion Lannister years later and explain to him that he intends to marry Daenerys and take back the Throne Iron with her. A story that promises to be fascinating to follow in books and that will probably not have the pleasure to see adapted to the screen.
Arianne Martell
The third intrigue that we will miss is obviously that of Dorne, cruelly shortened and much less interesting than it should have been. Doranne Martell’s eldest daughter, Arianne is, according to the customs of Dorne, the heiress of Sunspeart and the future princess of Dorne . Yet his story was more or less distributed to the Sand Snakes with their betrayal of Doran and their attempt to take revenge on the Lannister. In books, Arianne wants Myrcella to insist on sitting on the Iron Throne rather than her younger brother Tommen and her plans are thwarted by her father. As we have seen in the series, the death of almost all the Martells as well as that of Myrcella Baratheon makes the adaptation of this intrigue very improbable, and with it that of Gerold Dayne.
That closes our little list of intrigues that we would have liked to see in the series but which will probably never be there. Some have been more or less integrated to different degrees but this does not prevent us from having some regrets. Yet we imagine the difficulty of adapting such a saga and overall it is still an epic series that Dan Weiss and David Benioff offer us every year . Until we know what will happen next, we wondered if at the end of Game of Throne, the White Walkers would win because of Bran Stark. And you, what stories and / or what characters of books you miss in the series?
The post Game of Thrones Season 8: 3 major intrigues that will surely not be seen before the end of the series! first appeared on The Siver Times.
