Vikings season 5: Who will kill Lagertha?

Who will benefit the murder? While we are waiting to know when Vikings season 5 will be launched , on the American cable channel History , many questions assail us and one of it is definitely: who will kill Lagertha? Indeed, the seer’s prediction has fallen: one of Ragnar’s sons will kill the queen of Kattegat. With the death of Sigurd, the candidates are less numerous, but the identity of the murderer promises to be surprising!
THAT IS TOO EVIDENT
A priori, it would be very easy to say that Ivar will kill Lagertha. He never hid his desire to kill the woman who cowardly killed her mother, he even said to her: “One day I will kill you, Lagertha, your destiny is fixed!” And we can be sure that he is waiting for the right moment to take action . However, we think that someone will grill him politeness, so to create surprise. It is true that it would be much too obvious that Ivar kills Lagertha and the viewer could be frustrated. In fact, other candidates seem much more serious.
THAT IS NOT SUSPECTED
Hvitserk is certainly the son of Ragnar who has the least risk of killing Lagertha. We were able to see him admit to his brother Sigurd that killing Lagertha would also mean killing Bjorn and that he does not feel any desire for it. There is little doubt that he has become closer to his half-brother during their stay in the Mediterranean Sea and that he will never do anything to hurt him. Moreover, he has never been close to Aslaug and has no difficulty in overcoming his death.
THE ONE WHO WOULD OVERLOOK
We saw that Ubbe tried with his brothers Ivar and Sigurd to overthrow Lagertha and avenge the death of their mother, but especially to regain power over Kattegat. Since then, the viking seems to have subsided and due to the images of the video promo of season 5, it seems that he knows a connection with Lagertha. So, how to reach it more easily? It’s possible ! We would be very surprised to see Ubbe put an end to the life of the Queen of Kattegat, but such an event would promise to put this character back in front of the scene , he who is too effaced against Ivar and Bjorn!
THAT WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE
Can a son kill his mother? Perhaps the Vikings suite could answer that question. Indeed, it seems almost impossible to see Bjorn kill Lagertha. Yet, several reasons could push him to commit such an act! First of all, we have seen that Astrid lives a carnal relationship with his companion’s son. The relationship between the two women could deteriorate and Bjorn could act to protect the woman he seems in love with. So, even if the objective seems to be the Mediterranean Sea, it is quite possible that Bjorn wants to take over the city that was once his father’s, and to do so, he should kill his mother. Such an event would be totally surprising and certainly would have serious consequences that would captivate us.
WHAT WE CAN NOT THINK
Bjorn, Ubbe, Hvtitserk, Ivar and Sigurd are the only sons we know in Ragnar. However, it is quite possible that he had another son at some point in his life . The latter might be present in the series, but it would be only through the death of Lagertha that we would know his heredity. The murder of Lagertha seems closer than ever and this event should certainly surprise us. Vikings season 4: Back on 5 key moments!

While waiting to know when the series will return, let’s back on 5 key moments of the season 4 of Vikings!
Highlights! While we were wondering when Vikings season 5 would start , on the American cable channel History , it’s time to go back with the 5 key moments we were offered to see in the latest episode.
THE BOND IN TIME
We had not seen him coming, yet the final midseason ended in an impressive leap in time. This one is of capital importance in the second half of season 4 of Vikings since the cards are redistributed. Ragnar lost his prestige, Bjorn rose as the true leader of Kattegat, governed by an Aslaug carried on the drink. He also allowed us to get acquainted with the four sons of Ragnar so each one presents a facet of the personality of their father. This leap in time has changed the course of the series’s history and we just regret not having had an episode focusing on Ragnar’s experience during the past lapse of time .
LAGERTHA TAKES POWER ON KATTEGAT
Although we may wonder why she waited so long to take action, Lagertha finally takes power over Kattegat, killing Aslaug in passing. Her revenge is accomplished and she finally has what she believes to be her own. This takeover had consequences on our perception of Lagertha, but also on the Viking city since it has great ambitions for Kattegat. It puts in place the construction of defensive fortifications and these new stakes evidently bring about new confrontations. During this half-season, Kattegat has gone from being a simple village to a central character and we expect major events to take place there.
THE FIRST APPARITION OF HEAHMUND
The first scene where we discover the character played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, on which we told you more and which will be at the heart of season 5 of Vikings , is not transcendent and does not teach us much, if it Is that this religious has an impressive sword and that he does not respect his vow of chastity. However, we know that Heahmund will deliver impressive fights against our warriors and that he will be their main enemy in the next episodes . We strongly urge him to take action.
THE DEPARTURE OF FLOKI
This event only takes place in the final season, but it is important for the future. THE DEATH OF RAGNAR
There have been many deaths throughout the season and all are important, nevertheless that of Ragnar is major since it marks the end of an era. We knew it would happen sooner or later, but we did not expect it at that time, not half the second half of the season. Although incredibly well directed and almost poetic, the death of Ragnar was a difficult time . His body was not found by his sons, the actor assures him that he will not return, but we always hope to see his spirit, beyond his voice that often resonated after his death. Ragnar is dead, but he remains the hero of Vikings through his most beautiful legacy: his sons! What are your 5 key moments?

Vikings season 4: Who is going to die in the final season?

The season finale of season 4 of Vikings will be proposed next week on History, who will die?
Who will join Ragnar? Next week, History broadcast episode 20 of season 4 of Vikings, who will also be the season finale, for which we propose to discover the promo video . This final chapter will surely offer many deaths! So who will join Ragnar?
ECBERT
It is not too much doubt that the King of Wessex will not survive the attack of the Vikings, and we find it hard to believe that the sons of Ragnar will not accomplish his last wishes. It remains to be seen how he will be put to death. This death should cause many upheavals in Wessex and offer new challenges to the series . Note that Aethelwulf should not survive his father.
BJORN
As we can see, the agreement between Bjorn and Ivar is not a good thing. Once Ecbert is dead, we can expect the youngest son of Ragnar to assassinate his elder brother. Beyond offering a moment that is sure to be intense, this death could have good effects for the plot of Lagertha . Indeed, the latter would no longer benefit from the protection of Bjorn and should thus be forced to flee Kattegat. Ivar could track her and it is a new warrior game that we would be offered and it should not displease us!
HELGE
Something tells us that Floki’s wife will not survive the final season. We do not think it will succumb in a terrible confrontation, but that it will be killed by the daughter she adopted . We could see that she was not comfortable with it and what better way to get rid of the grip of someone who is feared than to kill it. Such an event would certainly have consequences on Floki, which could push him to leave in a new quest in the Mediterranean Sea.
SIGURD or HVITSERK
Among the children Ragnar had with Aslaug, we have every reason to think that Sigurd or Hvitserk will not survive this final season. While we imagine seeing Hvitserk succumbing during the battle in Wessex, we have good reason to believe that Ivar (still him) could kill Sigurd. The disagreement between these two is no longer to prove and a new dispute could end badly.
AND THE OTHERS
Even if we doubt it, the final season could offer us to see the death of Rollo. The character has only anecdotal presence and his death would offer him a true conclusion . If we ever return to Kattegat, we could witness the death of Astrid. This new victim in the entourage of the queen of Kattegat would isolate her a little more, which would be particularly interesting to see. Note that Torvi that we thought dead might not be as Michael Hirst teased.
