Sony Xperia XA1 vs. Huawei P10 Lite: We compared their cameras

The Huawei P10 Lite and the Sony Xperia XA1 are two new mid-range smartphones. To decide between them, we decided to compare their cameras by taking several photos. The result is amazing!
Sony and Huawei launched a few weeks ago new smartphones in the mid-range market: the Xperia XA1 and the P10 Lite . If these two devices have everything to please, it is difficult to separate them with the naked eye, without knowing the technical sheets. At the writing, we did not hesitate to take pictures with both terminals, without changing the settings in the Photo apps. And the result is really unexpected. The Chinese smartphone seems to be more efficient than the new Japanese terminal.

Without any adjustment, its sensor makes very beautiful or even unrealistic photos (one might think that the HDR mode is activated), especially when they are displayed on the screen very bright colors of the P10 Lite . As for the Xperia XA1 Lite, its sensor is victim of a small veil, which spoils a little rendering. In terms of screen, the Sony Xperia XA1 has good arguments. Whether on a sunny terrace or in a subway, the 5-inch screen adapts to different light conditions . The Galaxy S8 + was delivered to us by Samsung. I had the opportunity to spend a day next to this smartphone. And here are my first impressions, waiting for my complete test.
10h : Ouloulou, I am one of the lucky ones who will test the Samsung Galaxy S8 +. I’m a bit ashamed, but nothing but the packaging of the new Korean smartphone gives me as much thrill as a new album by Kendrick Lamar. It is open. Aesthetically, the Galaxy S8 + has nothing to do with its elders . He throws it but still risks to keep the fingerprints of all my friends on his back shell. Well, I’m not going to make it difficult. The Galaxy S8 Plus’s very strong technical sheet sells a dream, what more can you ask for?
10h30 : Aesthetically, the Samsung Galaxy S8 + tutoie perfection. Despite its 6.2 inches, this new smartphone is very compact and offers a beautiful grip. With its sleek front, the Galaxy S8 + is synonymous with Waouh. Its Infinity screen can leave you speechless. In my hands, I felt like I was just holding a screen. Ultra-light and very thin, the Galaxy S8 + gives a real visual and sensorial slap.
11h : The first surprise that bluffs me on this Galaxy S8 is its home button. Pressing it, I felt a pressure on the finger while it is not even a real button. The new home button simulates the sensations (like your girlfriend) of a physical button. But it was mostly the screen that put a real slap. OLED requires, the contrast is effective and much better than that of any LCD screen (there is no photo with the iPhone 7 for example).
12h : Once the Samsung Galaxy S8 + has been configured, I tackle the heavy subject: the camera. And there, magic operates! The colors are hallucinating, the sensor adapts to all conditions of brightness, from the sun terrace to the subway dipped in the dark. Unlike other manufacturers, Samsung did not crack for the dual photo sensor . And even if it is only 12 megapixels, If the Galaxy S8 and S8 + are satisfied with a definition of 12 megapixels, it is mainly to capture more light. The editing of melty is more beautiful than true.
13h : It’s time for lunch and the opportunity to check that the Galaxy S8 + is waterproof. Yes, Samsung’s new phone is IP68 certified, allowing it to be immersed for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.50 meters and resisting dust. Well, I took my courage to slide the Galaxy S8 + in a glass of water (it’s less than a meter 50 but I’m already scared enough). 16h : After a rather dense little day, the Galaxy S8 + displays 60% of battery. Dammit . To conclude, this smartphone is a pleasure to use and it is probably the best I could try. I look forward to testing Bixby and the performance of this smartphone which should benefit from an update to correct its red veil.

Officially sold at 349 €, the new Chinese smartphone is a bit more expensive than the latest Lite family . We would have kiffé that it does not exceed the psychological threshold of 300 euros but, we still appreciate its performance and design well worked. Lenovo: We tested the Moto Z with its various Moto Mods!

Far from being revolutionary, the Moto Z offers a new modular approach. But Lenovo did not just follow the lead of LG with its G5. IPhone 7: That’s why its camera is better than the Samsung Galaxy S8

It’s been 6 months since the iPhone 7 joined the stalls. Meanwhile, the smartphone headed in its 256 GB version has gone through all the steps of a full test to the editorial and here is our verdict!
In September 2016, Apple surprised many people by presenting its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The reason is simple: the new headed smartphones are devoid of jack. For my part, I was a bit ashamed when unpacking the iPhone 7, almost 6 months ago. Whether you’re looking for a pair of sneakers on the SNS site or a shell on the Amazon app or the Fnac app, it’s the perfect smartphone to heat the CB from its bed.
Anyway, i’m in love. The screen, speed and design of this iPhone are still as effective but I can also reproach him. The iPhone 7 is very harmful to the blue card, at the time of purchase. The Huawei P10 is one of the great stars of the Mobile World Congress. The new smartphone with rounded edges is really chanmé. We took it in hand and here are our impressions!
Shortly after the presentation of the LG G6, Huawei drew the crowds to the Mobile World Congress 2017. The third global smartphone manufacturer presented its P10 and P10 Plus in an armored room. When we discovered the Device for the first time, we quickly realized that it was the logical successor of P9 . Aesthetically, we salute the work of the design team of Huawei who used the finish ” Diamond Cut” a first in the smartphone industry. The Huawei P10 is available in attractive colors thanks to a partnership with Pantone Color Institute. It is thinner and less angular . Equipped with a well-designed technical sheet, the P10 has everything to please or almost. In any case, we took it in hand and here are our impressions!
Despite its 5.2-inch screen, the Huawei P10 is quite compact. Handy with one hand, it offers a sensation that has nothing to do with XL smartphones like the Mate 9 (5.9 “) or the iPhone 7 Plus (5.5” ). And since the screen occupies 72% of the front surface, we love it! But the real novelty of this Chinese flagship is the appearance of the fingerprint sensor on the front , when we used to see it on the back. This sensor also has a touch button that simulates the virtual buttons of Android, much like what we could see on the iPhone 7.
On the photo, we find the dual objective Leica 2.0 which has regaled us on the Mate 9 which allows to zommer x10 . Thus, the Huawei P10 offers a 12 megapixel color sensor and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. The big novelty of this camera is the ability to detect faces in portrait mode .
