I hope you are okay and have had a delightful weekend. I find you today with a new time slot to share another highlight of my little life of seriesphile. And this week I decided to come back to an inevitable phenomenon on American television: the reign of superheroes. In the space of a few years, these characters unlike the others have become imposed become inescapable on the American channels. A trend that has replaced that of the teen-show until then master of the small screen. Let it be said, most networks have succumbed and offer us to follow a television adaptation of a marking and intense comics . If Marvel makes a sensation in the cinema, DC Comics dominates on American television. Between successes that are no longer to be proved and the series that should soon land, the superhero has become an attractive figure that combines all the elements that make up a blockbuster with this accessibility that offers television.
With Arrow, Gotham or even Luke Cage, you no longer have to pay for his cinema place to undertake a journey full of action and special effects, just sit comfortably in his sofa. Whether ABC, CBS or the FOX, the hero of the superhero is undeniably a winning recipe as a large community of faithful massages in front of its screen each week. He act of the original comics fans or just lovers who have fallen for the concept, everyone is benefiting . Between the derivatives and the reactions on the social networks, to embark on a television adaptation of a comic strip, it is to ensure a non-standard visibility and that the chains understood well.
And obviously, the network that has made her business is the CW . And it must be said that it was she who had invested the first in the modern rehabilitation of a classic of the comics, Superman. With Smallville, the channel knew immediately federate. Thus, when launched in 2001 on the WB, the series recorded a real record by gathering 8.4 million viewers . A success that never stopped. Indeed, even if the hearings eventually fell, they were always reasonable for a network like the CW. However, it was not until Arrow in 2012 to launch a fashion that has never faltered since. Because at the time, the CW had made teen shows, his trademark . Between 90210, Gossip Girl or Les Frères Scott, the chain had its own niche and aimed at a young audience. However, in 2011, the arrival of Mark Pedowitz changes the situation. The new president wants to attract more viewers and embark on more mature productions.
In addition to Jane The Virgin and The 100, it is the superheroes who become the central engine of the hearings. A judicious choice when we know the number of fans who refuse to miss the least episode of their favorite series. But then, how to explain this infatuation? For starters, it is clear that the characters are the number one asset of these series. Tortured, ingenious, bruised by a painful past, they offer us hope that even when times are tough, we can get by. Through epic adventures and always spectacular, these heroes will exceed fail, get up and live their lives to 2000% . Because, basically, it is exactly their strength: they are deeply human and it is therefore terribly easy to identify with them. One attaches and hopes each week that their fight will end well. Better, these series have the advantage of taking place in a universe where almost everything is possible. Whether it is time trips, resurrections, magical powers or evil look-alike, creative teams have a support where their imagination can flourish without limits. The opportunity for them to try out mind-blowing cliffhangers with which viewers are sure to lose their means. At the time of writing, I have a passion for the four series that occupy the first four days of the week on the network. We must say the strong messages conveyed by these productions are for many!
We have all our moments of crisis, black periods which we have difficulties to get out and these superheroes are sometimes a real comfort. Because beyond possessing extraordinary gifts, they put words on feelings that can sometimes break us from within. They teach us to never give up even when it seems unnecessary and to fight for what is really important. They also teach us to accept ourselves as we are and to love our differences. In a world where you always have to go into huts, the superheroes honor their distinctions. Love it or hate it, there is no denying that these series transmit essential values and who we can find an echo in each of us . With powerful ingredients and ever more loyal fans, success should be there for a few more years.
That’s all for me meltynauts! So I’ll meet you on Sunday, February 12th at 6 pm for a new chronicle. In the meantime, I invite you to relive the day … Negan off a wave of despair in season 7 of The Walking Dead . Take care of you <3 What do you think of the superhero series?

While Legends of Tomorrow season 2 will not be back until January 24th on the CW, here’s why the fans of Arrow and The Flash must leave a second chance at the show!
The countdown begins ! And yes the meltynauts, in a few weeks, we finally find our heroes for new adventures. While the editorial ‘of melty proposed to discover the promotional video of episode 9 of season 2 Legends of Tomorrow , many fans of Arrow and The Flash were disappointed with the first season of the spin-off. Too crossed, too diverse, too overboard, many viewers have simply abandoned without giving the benefit of doubt to the most crazy series of CW . However, this second chapter has largely recovered the bar and Legends of Tomorrow has clearly found its stride . So here’s why the fans of Arrow and The Flash must give a second chance to the show!

The bad guys are now more charismatic than Vandal Savage!
Legends of tomorrow season 2, the flash, prison break, wentworth miller, captain cold, the day …, star, show, spoilers
Charismatic villains!
You are granted it, Vandal Savage clearly did not transcend us. Far from being very frightening or simply charismatic enough to make us shudder, it was linked to the fate of Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall, two characters who were perhaps the least endearing of the band. But this year, our heroes are fighting The Legion of Doom consisting of Reverse Flash, Damien Darhk, Malcolm Merlyn and Captain Cold, four of the Arrowverse’s most emblematic villains. Already very impressive individually, they are downright extraordinary to four and we look forward to seeing them all together!
Legends of Tomorrow found his identity!
And yes the meltynauts, if you are regular consumers of the episodes of Arrow and The Flash, you know that the two series sail on the same wave and offer us regularly a condensed of action and emotions. The atmosphere can sometimes be heavy and difficult not to notice the rules remain very Manichean . If we are really fans, we are always delighted to immerse ourselves in an episode of Legends of Tomorrow where everything is allowed since the team is composed of heroes and criminals. Everyone walks on the line that separates the two camps and it is downright pleasing.
Everyone has found his place!
What was missing in the first season was an organization. Everything was a little rough, shipped and not necessarily well developed. But now all our characters have found their place and is essential for the group. Sara is the leader, Jax is the mechanic of the ship, Nate is the historical expert, Stein is the scientist, and so on. Nobody is left out and the team now forms a whole with unique skills that are put to the service of the group.
The intrigues are much more mysterious!
Let it be said, the first season was clear as water from the rock. Indeed, last year’s crossover had unveiled the entire storyline that was going to occupy our heroes. The mystery, though a key element of the DC Comics series, had little room and did not prompt anyone to try to go further by clinging in despite small mistakes. But this year, viewers slowly discover the plans of the bad guys and remain hungry about certain intrigues like the disappearance of Rip Hunter for example. An improvement that makes all the difference! Pending January 24, discover our top 8 characters who deserve to meet true love. Are you going to give Legends of Tomorrow a second chance?
The post Legends of Tomorrow Season 2: Why the fans of Arrow and The Flash must give a second chance to the show! first appeared on The Siver Times.

While the episode 8 of season 2 Legends of Tomorrow was broadcast last night on the CW, return to the main events in this very intense final mid-season!

Familiar faces! And yes meltynautes, “The Chicago Way” was clearly an opportunity to review all the characters that marked the show since its inception and we are delighted. However, hard to have been fully met by this episode which was more like a transition to an explosive final mid-season. While the editorial ‘of melty announced that Captain Cold regain Team in episode 8 of season 2 Legends of Tomorrow , back in detail on the main events last night in “The Chicago Way” recently aired on the CW . First, know that Malcolm Merlyn finally made its grand entrance into the Legion of Doom! Indeed, Damien Darhk and Eobard Thawne teamed two for a while thus delaying the arrival of Merlyn, emblematic of Arrow. And the least we can say is that he is always true to himself to the point of proposing a deal very tempting to Sara . And if the woman agreed to go back nine years ago to never be mounted on the Queen’s Gambit alongside Oliver? And if it had never been part of the League of Assassins? And if she was saving her sister? And then of course, we could not help but wonder if she was not going to say yes as Laurel redid a surprise appearance in Arrow. However, Sara has obviously accepted the death of his sister and she understood that if she took such a decision, the consequences would likely be dramatic. It is an emphatic that it gives Merlyn!
We can only applaud such a spirit of Sara force that prefers “living a nightmare rather than a dream is a lie.” Sometimes his character acts as a real robot without emotions, so it is interesting to see confront something so painful. This dilemma then offers the possibility to Stein reveal the whole truth about his daughter. And if Sara is angry she has no time to blame him long since Stein was then kidnapped and tortured by Thawne more cruel than ever . If the whole team rushes to save him, Jax is skeptical about the personality of the one they brought. Very different, Stein locks himself alone and teammate soon realizes that this is actually the speedster. It is clear that he manages very easily fool people and infiltrate the ship. Meanwhile, Heat Wave had hallucinations of Captain Cold. A situation very difficult to understand for viewers. Mick Rory is it missing from his life of crime? Nevertheless, see Leonard Snart was downright uplifting and hopefully soon see him in the flesh. Another positive point is the approximation of Heat Wave and Vixen is something really interesting. In contrast to each other, the two characters offer us an enjoyable dynamic unexpected.
If we enjoyed delving into the 20s in Chicago, the episode is altogether rather conventional and not surprisingly. It is nice to see Sara admit it regards everyone as family and she agrees to protect the daughter of Stein but it is not spent a lot of things in this mid-season which was expected since both that of Arrow. Nevertheless, the end of the episode suggests detonating many intrigues. First, because the plan of the Legion of Doom was finally unveiled and their purpose is to rewrite reality then because Rip Hunter is finally back! And it is clearly waiting, the leader of Team was an essential asset in the series and his return should distribute the cards. Unless it is downright forgotten who he was? One thing is certain, we are eager to learn more and to get into the thick of it as if “The Chicago Way” was nice, it clearly lacked a good dose of twists. But we must wait until January 26 to learn more. Pending further information, see our review of the fourth and final part of the crossover Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and melty on Supergirl . What did you think of the final mid-season?
The post Legends of Tomorrow Season 2: Episode 8 Sara refused to save Laurel, our criticism of the final mid-season! first appeared on The Siver Times.
