Because it is of course today that landed on our screens Wonder Woman, the fun and powerful origin story of Diana Prince, THE most iconic super-heroine that is. And as much to tell you right away that the film proves worthy of the character! But if he explains where he comes from and how he came into contact with the world of men, we must admit that he leaves us somewhat puzzled as to some of his elements. This, in itself, should not surprise us. After all, Wonder Woman is first and foremost a superhero film that is part of a much larger universe where other protagonists like Batman, Superman and Darkseid evolve. So inevitably, We had to expect some of our questions to remain unanswered! Here is a small list of the ones we ask after seeing the film. Attention, however, the editorial of melty wants to warn you: it may be that some spoilers slip into the sequel!
Did Zeus really create the world? It is one of the elements of the film that leave us the most perplexed. For the Amazons, which were created by Zeus, there is no doubt: the god of Olympus is at the origin of all life. Or at least, it is more or less so that Hippolyte, Diana’s mother, presents things to her daughter. Except that, well, we are not going to lie, there is little chance that this is the case. So who are Zeus and Ares, the two gods that are mentioned in Wonder Woman? If one takes into account the universe DCEU and what one knows, one can imagine that these two are in fact of the same nature as … Darkseid and Steppenwolf, the two villains of Justice League. This is of course only conjecture, but that would explain however their powers and those of the Amazons.
Steve Trevor is obviously the first man to set foot on Themiscyra
How is it that no one has discovered Themyscira before Steve Trevor? This is another question which, in itself, is not overly important but which still titillates our curiosity. For it is clear that Themiscyra remained hidden away from the world of men for hundreds of years. For millennia. Now, it seems that Steve Trevor is not doing anything very special when he enters the protected area of the island, if not … just crashing and having a LOT of luck . But then how is it that no one else, during the thousands of years since the creation of Themiscyra, discovered it, at least in the same way? It must be believed that it was the destiny of Steve to crash on the island and to reveal the real world to Diana …
What happened to Doctor Poison? Well, here we go back into the territory of the spoilers! So watch out, you’re warned! In the final battle against Ares, which is a big surprise for us, Dr. Maru, the faithful assistant to General Ludendorff, has just missed Diana’s thunderbolts. But our superhero ends up sparing the bad guy , who then completely disappears from the film . Did she survive the Dantesque confrontation between Wonder Woman and Ares, or is she one of the collateral victims? Impossible to say because his fate remains absolutely uncertain. But if she has survived, we may think that two things happened to her: either she understood her mistakes and, after having been afraid of her life, Has preferred to withdraw from any military conflict and has stopped making poisons; Or she remained faithful to herself and continued in the path of evil. Perhaps we will have answers to this question in the sequel to Wonder Woman !
Why can not Diana return to Themiscyra? When she was discovered in Batman V Superman , Diana clearly explained that she had spent the last 100 years in the world of men. And indeed, when Hippolyte said goodbye – attention spoilers ! – she tells him that she must definitely bid farewell to her home. But why ? Is it because the island is so hard to find? Wonder Woman, with her powers and immortality, however, has the means to find her if she so wishes. Or is it simply because in walking in the world of men she rejected that part of herself that allowed her to live on Themiscyra. Anyway, it seems our superhero can not go home anymore …
Diana no longer donned the Wonder Woman costume for a century
Why did she turn away from humanity? Wonder Woman allows us in part to understand the evolution of Diana in the DCEU , while leaving some open questions about it. As she tells us at the end of Batman V Superman , Diana preferred to let humanity fend for herself. Yet, in the film Wonder Woman , she seems determined and determined to protect them. So what were the precise reasons that finally forced her not to put on her super-heroin costume? Why, for example, did it not intervene during the Second World War , the most deadly conflict in our history? This is very contradictory with the character! Hopefully we will have more details on his defection, whether in the Wonder Woman sequel or in the Justice League! What do you think ?
The post Wonder Woman: The questions that arise after seeing the film first appeared on The Siver Times.

Here it is ! Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, arrives today on our screens in her own film. So, does the super-hero show up to our expectations?
She’s there. Finally. The one that had been waiting for several months, the one that carries all the hopes of the DCEU and its fans, the one that must catch up the semi-failures of Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad . Diana, the most iconic superhero, arrives today at the cinema! Preceded by a more than positive rumor and frankly enthusiastic first criticisms, Wonder Woman has a heavy task to do: prove that a film featuring a superhero has as much potential as those resting on the shoulders of Batman and consort . Those who saw the character of Gal Gadot in Batman V Superman certainly do not doubt it. And besides, they are right! Because so much to say right away, Wonder Woman is FUN, Exciting, visually ranting, is paid the luxury of making sense without making a whole mountain and blowing a wind of freshness on the DCEU and its morose heroes and a little too much inclined to self-destructive introspection. What makes us want to say that the film Patty Jenkins exceeds by far our expectations and proves to be the best of the cinema universe of DC Comics!
Yet, the film is part of an era not frankly joyous, namely the end of the First World War. Diana, who grew up pampered and protected by her mother Hippolyte on Themiscyra but who has always wanted to become a warrior, suddenly becomes aware of the nightmare that hits the world of men when it comes crashing on the island the plane of the spy Steve Trevor. Convinced that the war is provoked by Ares, the god whom the Amazons were designed to face, Diana decides to leave his home with Steve in order to defeat him . Along the way, she finds herself confronted not only with the horrors of war but also with the ambiguities of human nature. General Ludendorff (Danny Huston) and his faithful assistant, Dr. Maru, Dr. Poison (Elena Anaya)
So much for the pitch of Wonder Woman . And with that, Patty Jenkins offers us a fantastic film, skilfully combining epic battle scenes with disheveled choreography, gravity driven by the historical context, humor that makes fly and lightness, all in perfect balance. Far from a melancholy Superman, even frankly desperate, Diana breathes kindness and compassion and is animated by a single desire: to fight injustice and protect the innocent, without ever her nature of goddess entering Conflict with its motivations . Patty Jenkins, using the context of World War I, is particularly well versed, but confronts her heroine’s naivety with the brutality of the real world and her horrors in order to make her understand the place she can occupy.
And as much to warn you right away, you will have no choice but to fall under the spell of Diana, interpreted with incredible sincerity by Gal Gadot . A mixture of innocence and pride, our heroine proves incredibly endearing even as we discover the world and its absurdities through its eyes. And be careful, if Wonder Woman is for some time called feminist , it is because there is a reason! Because Diana may be a woman, she does not let her status define her, choosing to act as she sees fit , completely escaping the control of Steve Trevor and his efforts to channel it. A Steve Trevor, moreover,
Because it is mainly reactions of the American pilot to the remarks of the Amazon, which mix perplexity and amusement, that come the best moments of humor. Especially since he is far from being reduced to his role of love interest, endowing himself with a complex personality and acting according to his own beliefs and what he believes to be his duty. However, we regret that the other characters are less well exploited , whether companions duo Samir (Saïd Taghmaoui), Charlie (Ewen Bremner), Grand Chief (Eugene Brave Rock) and Etta Candy (Lucy Davis), only the wicked themselves. But in the end, Wonder Woman is so fascinating that every scene without it seems to lack flavor!
Of course, the film is not exempt from other small defects. If the first scenes of combat are visually impressive and if the choreographies have enough to leave us gaping, the final confrontation, it, turns a little to the porridge CGI, the action dissolving in special effects. But the film compensates its weaknesses by incredible moments of bravery – at melty, we still have not recovered from this sequence where Diana crosses the no man’s land – and dialogues as fun as full of meaning. For the rest, Wonder Woman is intelligently written, intelligently realized and offers us the credible path of a super heroine as hoped for and who carries her femininity with pride. And if the film is not always very tender with human nature, Diana soon realizes that Arès is not the only one responsible for the war, but he still gives us a heroic character full of hope. And that, frankly, it does good! So, we cross the fingers so that Wonder Woman is entitled to a sequel , so we are conquered. Will you see the movie?
The post Wonder Woman: An original story as fun as powerful, our critic! first appeared on The Siver Times.

If Diana Prince is the main character in the Patty Jenkins movie, we will also have the chance to discover Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine, the man who will allow the heroine to discover the world that lies behind the borders of Themyscira . A spy hired by the English to try to kill the plans of the Germans in the bud. Despite the resources provided by the Comics Patty Jenkins, the director of the film, had a clear vision of the character.
Chris Pine told Cinemablend: “Patty Jenkins was very clear: I had to fall in love with Diana, make a few jokes and stay light – which was no problem for me – I had to be in the line of Indiana Jones ( …), a bit rough, but jaded, realistic and determined to do its best. It is indeed at this period that must leave the film recounting the adventures solos and warriors of the beautiful Amazone, which will be confronted moreover by a band of warlike Germans not very nice. Finally, that’s what we could guess by seeing the trailers of Wonder Woman, the most recent of which revealed more or less the real villain of the film . ” More or less “, yes, because in the end, the trailer in question was rather stingy in details. Until today, at least, we were not 100% sure of the identity of Diana Prince’s enemy. Or rather should we say ” And that, thanks to the few select American media that have been invited to visit the post-production site of Warner Bros, where Patty Jenkins puts the finishing touches to his film. There, they had the opportunity to discover 15 minutes of Wonder Woman , in which they saw pell-mell plots plot to win the war, Diana Prince make the discovery of the real world and even … a certain Batman , apparently loaded with ‘Open the movie. Attention, spoilers, obviously … They had the opportunity to discover 15 minutes of Wonder Woman , in which they saw pell-mell villains plot to win the war, Diana Prince make the discovery of the real world and even … a certain Batman , apparently loaded to open the film. Lucky bastards! Attention, spoilers, obviously …
Because yes, the meltynauts, as we suspected, Bruce Wayne / Batman has a role in Wonder Woman , and not just any one! According to the site / film, the character of Ben Affleck is indeed there to launch the narrative . In what is apparently the opening scene of the film, he would give an old photograph to Diana, on which she would be seen in the company of Steve Trevor and all those who accompanied her to the battlefield decades earlier ( And we actually saw this picture somewhere!). And it is by seeing this photo that our super-heroine would plunge back into her memories, telling us her first steps in the real world and her first rough fight for the survival of humanity.
But the role of Batman is not the only thing that these 15 minutes allowed to discover. Still / Film, several scenes were unveiled, including a showing Diana and Steve Trevor aboard a ship, as they leave the island of the Amazons. Our heroine would ask her companion to take her to the very heart of the fighting so that she can confront Ares (because yes, Arès is part of the game!) Thanks to the Godkiller sword, a powerful weapon that was teased it Some time ago on an image of Wonder Woman . But the exchange between Diana and Steve would also lack humor , the knowledge and experience of the young woman colliding with the real world and the manners of men. On this subject besides, the alchemy between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine would seem apparently perfect!
In addition to another scene between the two characters, as they finally landed in London, and another battle in which we see our super heroine gushing trenches and loading the Germans, as in this recent image of Wonder Woman With Gal Gadot , these 15 minutes also allowed to introduce more firmly the three villains of the film. One of the sequences would take place in a German base, where there would be General Erich Ludendorff (Danny Huston) and Doctor Maru (Elena Anaya) – who is none other than Doctor Poison. That these two played the role of antagonists, one suspected a little. What we did not know however is that they seem to be related in a rather peculiar way to the famous Ares , the ultimate villain of the film.
But, and that’s where it gets more interesting, the villain would also have made another poison that is destined for General Ludendorff and that must ” restore his strength .” And by using it, this one would suddenly obtain a superhuman power through which it would break a gun in two. This obviously leads us to believe that this Erich Ludendorff is in fact only the corporeal envelope of Ares , the god of war and the sworn enemy of Diana and the Amazons! We know in any case that this one is present in the film and that draws the strings of the world conflict. Of course, it is possible that Ludendorff, who is a historical personage who really existed, and Ares are two distinct personalities. And that Dr. Maru’s gas serves only the general to increase his physical strength and strength. What is certain is that the American media who discovered these 15 minutes were rather conquered by their atmosphere and tone. So let’s cross the fingers so that Wonder Woman proves worthy of our expectations! Are you eager to see the film?
The post Wonder Woman: 15 minutes of the film unveiled, the role of Batman and the 3 confirmed villains first appeared on The Siver Times.

Who is the great villain of Wonder Woman? A little less than six months from the release of the film, the enigma has still not been elucidated. And the first trailer really did not answer either. Although, in melty, we think we did it anyway Tease neither seen nor known, through the character played by Danny Huston . An officer who speaks in a brief scene the sentence: “The world can be ours” , and believed to be none other that Ares, the God of War , hidden under another identity. This villain was at the heart of many rumors in recent times, as was the Doomsday for Batman vs Superman . And imagine that there is a chance that, like Doomsday, our speculations will prove true! This is certainly what our colleagues teasent Studio Ciné Live . They went on the Wonder Woman movie filming in April 2016, and just released a four-page dossier, describing several about Chris Pine as the scenario. And guess who is mentioned? Ares!
Interviewed by the magazine, Chris Pine gave some details about his character and the rest of the story. He has described Steve Trevor as “a driver working for the Allies and the Germans spies without their knowledge” . His character steals a notebook filled with scientific formulas. Behind these formulas, there is a deadly gas that could destroy humanity . Now, according to the magazine, it happens that this deadly gas would interest Ares, the God of War. “This is jealous of men, which are a creation of her father, Zeus deceased (the Amazons and rebelled against Zeus and Ares Zeu died by the hand of his son)” in particular explains the magazine. If nothing has been confirmed, Ares is a main villain rather logical. This is one of the recurring enemies of Wonder Woman in comics. And since the film is set in the context of the First World War, it is not hard to think that Ares could be behind it. While waiting to get to the bottom, find the five best moments of the latest trailer ! And you, do you think it could be Ares?
The post Wonder Woman: The villain of the film confirmed? first appeared on The Siver Times.

Diana Prince finally returns with Steve Trevor on an image of Wonder Woman. And as always, the super-heroine imposes by its beauty and charisma!
There’s no need to say, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is a super-heroine who has class! And who knows how to distribute powerful beatings to the wicked while being profoundly benevolent. Moreover, its big splash in Batman vs Superman is clearly one of its best moments. Result, it was frankly not wait to see his solo film, especially as the latest trailer of Wonder Woman was crazy and that we put in his eyes. Anyway, before returning Diana Prince with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), he’ll have to show a little more patient ! Because the release of the film is scheduled only next June, which leaves us still a few months to wait. Finally, you can always count on the pictures that studios unveil online in magazines and give us the opportunity to see a little more Gal Gadot in the costume of the superhero. And indeed, this is a picture of Wonder Woman as the editorial ‘of melty reveals today, on which we find a rather well surrounded Diana !
We discover our super-heroine on horseback alongside Steve Trevor and what looks like British soldiers, while they all live in a forest. Difficult however to say what they make in the middle of this decor! But no matter what, Diane always seems to us as classy and beautiful, and if she looks dreamy in the picture, she seems nevertheless ready to go to the fight. After all, we must not forget that the plot of Wonder Woman, to be still more optimistic than Batman vs Superman , takes place during the First World War and the confrontation between our superhero and Germans risk being violent! The image was broadcast for the first time by the site Time, which devoted a long file to the super-heroine whereas its status as ambassador for the UN, which was granted to him a few months ago, comes from Be withdrawn. From what still remember that Wonder Woman is still one of our favorite heroines! And if our expectations about the film are high, we are absolutely certain that Diana will live up to it. How do you find this image?
The post Wonder Woman: Diana and Steve Trevor ready to fight on a new image first appeared on The Siver Times.
