Soon after testing the Samsung Galaxy S8 +, we are now interested in the accessories of the new Korean flagship. External battery, wireless charger, DeX Station … discover everything you need to know!
The Samsung Galaxy S8 + keeps impressing us. This revolutionary smartphone has everything to please. And you can learn more by (re) discovering our test of the successor of the Galaxy S7 Edge . But who says new smartphone, also says new accessory. And at that game, Samsung did not do it in half measure . First of all, the Korean offers several recharge solutions: an external battery of 5100 mAh and a charger wireless. There are also new hulls and the famous DeX Station. Without further ado, discover everything you need to know about them.
Recharge Solutions
While the Galaxy S8 Plus offers (already) a better autonomy than its little brother, the Galaxy S8, Samsung offers us the possibility to opt for an external battery of 5100 mAh . Equipped with a classic Type-A USB port and a Type-C USB port, this battery will be able to quickly charge your Galaxy S8 or S8 +. Better yet, it recharges as quickly. Sold at 69.90 euros, it is available here .
In addition to this external battery, Samsung also offers us a beautiful wireless charger . And since the Galaxy S8 / S8 + is equipped with a wireless charging area, you can charge it with this wireless charging station. It will also allow you to use your smartphone while it is charging. As it is simply placed on this charging plate, you can answer an SMS or a call without unplugging it. If you want to shopper this charger wirelessly, this is where it goes.
Hull and DeX Station
The Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 + is very beautiful. Then to protect him, one must pamper him. If you want to preserve its elegance while protecting it from bumps or scratches, the Samsung Alcantara shell is probably made for you . With this cover, you will give a refined style to your device and thanks to the true Alcantara, it will become pleasantly soft to the touch and resistant to the spots. To get this cover that costs around 39 euros, here.
With the DeX Station, you can transform your Galaxy S8 or S8 + into a real desktop computer . Simple to use, the Samsung dock offers a good PC experience. The DeX is equipped with a fan to cool the phone, among others. And thanks to the interface well developed by the team of Samsung, you will be able to zap your Windows 10 without difficulty. But this technology has a price. The DeX of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is sold at 149.99 euros.
The post External battery, charger … We tested the accessories of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + first appeared on The Siver Times.

In addition to its Galaxy S8 and S8 +, Samsung has unveiled several nice accessories. These include the DeX, an accessory that will allow you to turn Samsung’s new smartphone into a true desktop PC. But connecting a smartphone to a dock to turn it into a computer is not really new. HP and Motorola have already attempted this adventure, before turning back after having tutoy the failure. By fixing software problems, the Samsung DeX managed to do what others dreamed of doing. But concretely, what does it give? After spending a day with the (sublime) Galaxy S8 +, will I replace my MacBook Pro 2016 with a … smartphone? These next lines may leave you speechless!
The concept is simple. Just connect the Galaxy S8 or S8 + to the dock, which in turn is connected to a monitor via an HDMI cable that you will unfortunately need to purchase. Once connected, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is transforming or almost. The Samsung DeX application starts automatically and the smartphone’s Infinity Display screen turns black. And there, magic takes place. On my monitor, I have the right to an Android version that looks like an OS for desktop PC . Yes, Samsung managed to organize this interface with flying colors. And during the few hours I was able to use this dock, the DeX mode made me dream.
Making a Youtube video Full HD multi-window or editing several photos with background music is a real pleasure with DeX. This special dock has transformed the Galaxy S8 + that I am currently testing into a true hybrid smartphone. And the performances are well to go. Surf between the different apps is a real kif, the navigation is very fluid and I have noticed any slowdown. As a journalist, I see myself already doing everything with the dock of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Marketed at 149 euros here , the DeX is the ideal backup PC . And if it seems not yet perfect for me to completely zap my MacBook, the DeX has at least the potential …
The post We transformed a Samsung Galaxy S8 into desktop PC thanks to the DeX, and the result is wow! first appeared on The Siver Times.

If the iPad was announced as the replacement for the Apple Mac, the iPhone 7 Plus now has nothing to envy the 12-inch MacBook. So, does the headset smartphone really replace the computer?
For years, we have long talked about the iPad as the best alternative to the Apple Mac. But it must be admitted that the head tablet has not yet managed to make us zap the computer. At the latest news, Apple imagines a fusion between an iPhone and MacBook . But we can go further. In terms of raw performance, the iPhone 7 Plus does not have to blush before a high-end 12-inch MacBook . So, a nagging question arises: Can the Apple smartphone definitely replace the Mac? We will try to answer them in the next lines.
Over the course of the year, the performances of the iPhone have not stopped evolving. Thanks to its powerful mobile chip, the iPhone 7 crushes almost all the competition . But during that time, the performance of the Mac lost a bit of their superb. By the time the 2016 iPhone is as powerful as an entry-level MacBook, 2017 could be the year of the revolution at Apple including its iPhone anniversary. Well, high-end headphones are a little bit faster than the iPhone 7 for the heaviest tasks . But, the headed smartphone can already meet all our expectations.
Apple: What if the iPhone made you zapper your MacBook for good?
Can the iPhone really zap the MacBook? Samsung is succeeding this bet, with its brand new Galaxy S8. With the DeX, a dock that is sold separately , the smartphone can become a real desktop computer. But this function is primarily targeted at the professional market, so at meltyStyle, Apple is expected to find another solution that will delight its millions of fans . One thing is for sure, nothing stops the progress at Apple .
The post Apple: What if the iPhone made you zapper your MacBook for good? first appeared on The Siver Times.
