Happiness is not always measured by the amount of money sent to the screen. These films proved it to us …
In the absence of oil, it is better to have a sequel in the ideas when you are a director without a penny . Like these guys, who, far from the 28 films that have exceeded a billion dollars at the box office , have been dirty with very little money. Give them a pony, they make you a racehorse …
Napoleon Dynamite
Shot in a hurry in 23 days with a budget of $ 400,000, “Napoleon Dynamite” has reported 100 times in its output (about 45 million). In the dick, director Jeremy Coon did editing at his home on Final Cut Pro, while Jon Heder, the main actor who plays a high school student Nerd a little looser, contented himself with a salary of 1000 bullets . But if this teen comedy was so successful, it was also thanks to the exhibition offered by Fox, the studio having decided to show the film in more theaters after good word-of-mouth in certain festivals Sundance). For the little info, the Fox has added an epilogue scene of 5 minutes after the final credits, which alone is worth half the initial budget of the film …
Rocky
He has gone to sell his project to producers and especially impose his broken mouth as a main actor. Finally, the tenacity of Sylvester Stallone, who wrote the screenplay in 3 days on a small notebook, was rewarded . His film which cost 1 million, has brought 225 across the world!
Super Size Me
The documentary that McDo still has trouble digesting. The physical experience that Morgan Spurlock inflicted by exclusively eating McDo for a month had an international impact. But if the man lost a little of his health, he pocketed a lot of sorrel : for a production budget of 65,000 dollars, the film brought back 29.5 million to the exploitation. The wallet is super size too.
Paranormal Activity
In the same vein as “The Blair Witch Project” , whose director Oren Peli does not hide filiation, “Paranormal Activity” has done a lot of money with very little money. This false documentary, which only cost $ 15,000, rained down the world’s money to reach 194 million dollars . The strength of the film is above all to have bet on a viral promo on social networks, although the interest has logically declined with all the suites that have since been released.
Psychosis
Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece is one of the first films to show that one can do well with little. Suffice of a good story and a master of suspense to the controllers . His scary thriller, made with $ 800,000, has generated nearly $ 50 million in the world. Hat the artist.
Saw
Once again, the director James Wan and his poet writer Leigh Whannell met a lot of refusals before selling their project. With 1.2 million dollars of budget, no madness was allowed: the shoot was spread over 18 days only and was done only inside (it costs of the blurze to go out) . A winning bet since the horror film garnered about $ 103 million in revenue, one of the most profitable in history.
Mad Max
It’s starting to become an ultra-lucrative license if one believes what Tom Hardy said , and yet at the beginning , “Mad Max” was built on almost nothing: blood, tears, sweat and A budget of between $ 350,000 and $ 400,000. The filming of this Australian film took place in Melbourne (and its surroundings) and lasted only 12 weeks. George Miller’s find is to have taken a stranger for the title role: a certain Mel Gibson, who then made the career that we know . The post-apocalyptic film has thus garnered $ 100 million at the box office! For a long time, this classic has held the record for the most profitable small budget film in history,
Project Blair Witch
The example for all those who dream of turning lead into gold. With a budget that is between $ 50,000 and $ 75,000, the horror film exploded on its path with more than 240.5 million benefactors across the globe. From filming to marketing, everything was innovative. To give this sensation of documentary, the directors Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez provided almost no script to the actors, allowing them to improvise in the middle of the woods . The scene where the tent moves in the night is for example a real moment of flip ‘of the actors. At the level of the promo, the creators deliberately let it be believed that it was a real documentary that had gone wrong, fooling a lot of people on the Internet …
The post Low budget films that exploded at the box office first appeared on The Siver Times.

Little by little, the information about season 5 of Vikings reach us! Find out who will be the new characters of the next episodes!
Fresh blood! Recently, we revealed everything we knew about Alfred, the future enemy of Ivar in season 5 of Vikings , who will change interpreter for the occasion. Now, embodied by Ferdia Walsh-Peel, the character will be joined by several new faces. Here are those who will be the new heroes of the series proposed by History !
ÆTHELRED
This new character is neither more nor less than one of the four known brothers of Alfred. In the new episodes, he will be played by Darren Cahill, a young actor that some have seen in the Irish series Red Rock . This character should be very present during the fighting, but also in the political affairs of Wessex since he will accede to the throne at the death of his father Æthelwulf. It should be noted that Alfred became the famous King Alfred the Great after Æthelred’s death , so we could witness his death by the end of the first part of season 5 . As for the many sons of Ragnar, whom we do not find in the series, it would seem that the other sons of the king of Wessex (Æthelstan, Æthelbald and Æthelberht, are not present,
KETILL FLATNOSE
We already talked about it! Wrestling star Adam Copland will camp Katill at Flat Nose, a famous vikings king of the Hebrides who lived in the 9th century. For the purposes of the series, its history should be rewritten, while taking the same path. Thus, we can expect it to be involved in maritime shipments to the West. Let us note that his story links him to Harald Finehair, so that he could prove to be one of the rivals of our heroes .
EYVIND
Kris Holden-Ried is a protagonist of Kris Holden-Ried, and offers a meager description that he is an important warrior of Kattegat who decides to travel and settle his family in a new country. Presumed unrelated to any historical reality, we can still ask whether it would not be related to Eyvind Lambi . The latter included the uncle of a certain Egil and the brother of an important member of the court of Harald Finehair, with whom he was very much a friend. We can thus assume that the character will join this new Viking enemy of the sons of Ragnar. Betrayals should still be numerous.
WHITE HAIR
Kieran O’Reilly is the character who is unknown to us if not his name, assuredly chosen because of his white hair. The absence of information prompts the fans to feed interesting theories, so many people think that the character’s name is a code to hide that it will be Olaf the White. In historical accounts, the latter is the son of Ragnar (but for the series its origin should be reinvented), the king of Dublin and especially one of the loyal companions of Ivar. Moreover, as the universe of the Vikings remains small, he is the husband of the daughter of Ketill in the Flat Nose.
EUPHEMIUS
Incarnated by the Portuguese comedian Albano Jerónimo, there again no information was provided on this character. However, we can link it to the eponymous Byzantine admiral. If this is the latter we discover, the character will be very interesting since after being accused of having abducted a young nun from a convent, he organized an uprising against the Byzantine Emperor Michael II and, after some successes Military, he proclaimed himself Emperor of Syracuse, independent of Constantinople. He was described as a respected and charismatic king. Knowing that he would be defeated by the Byzantine troops when the reinforcements were sent from the East, he appealed to the Muslim rulers of Ifriqiya to take Sicily and Malta to the Byzantines. It is, therefore, Man who initiated the Arab invasion and the beginning of Islamic domination for two centuries on the island as the emirate of Sicily. It remains to be seen how his history will be mingled with that of our heroes. Most certainly via Bjorn and its conquest of the Mediterranean Sea.
ZIYADAT ALLAH
Incarnated by Khaled Abol Naga, no information was disclosed about the character. However, we know that Ziyadat Allah was the third Emir of Ifriqiya. We can therefore expect his story to be that of Euphemius.
KASSIA
Incarnated by Karima McAdams, we can link this character with the historical figure that Kassiani is. The latter was a Byzantine abbess, poet, composer and hymnographer, known to be incredibly beautiful and intelligent . Since she was perceived as venerated, she was subjected to whipping with a whip. Having finished his life in Greece, it is still considered as a rare and exceptional phenomenon and no less than twenty-three authentic hymns are attributed to him. In the series, his story will certainly be mixed with those of Ziyadat Allah and Euphemius, but his route should cross that of Bjorn and Halfdan as evidenced by a photo posted on the account Instagram of the actress.
HAKON
Played by Laurence O’Fuarain, this character is most likely to link up with Håkon Grjotgardsson, an ally of Harald, to whom he offered his daughter in marriage, either to Håkon Sigurdsson, who is one of the descendants of ” Harald. In one case or another, we can think that his story will be rewritten for the needs of the series, especially in terms of temporality. A certainty, the character will be at the sides of the Viking having betrayed the sons of Ragnar . With so many new directions, many ideas of Vikings spin-offs can arise , but one thing is certain, the sequel promises to be very intense! What do you think of these new characters?
The post Vikings season 5: Focus on the new characters of the next episodes first appeared on The Siver Times.

Emu, you still remember. You see the moment, you see it again, you do not get tired of it. Because you immediately felt the crazy potential of the character.
The first impression counts enormously. Good and bad. It sets the tone and it’s hard to change it afterwards. It is the same in life, for you and me, as for the imaginary characters of TV series. In a few seconds, we feel something and we catch it or not. With these characters, you have necessarily said that the sequel would be crazy . What beginnings!
Michonne in “The Walking Dead”
Comic fans could not wait for his arrival. Arrived at the end of season 2, finally, here it is … Under a hood, with a saber stained with blood and two penguin zombies kept on a leash as vulgar slaves. A plan of pork. And then, you wanted direct attack season 3. See again Michonne.
Tywin Lannister in “Game of Thrones”
We do not see much, but every time, it produces something. And from the very first scene where we see it, we understand. While Jaime was thought to be at the top in terms of power, charisma, he seems quite timid when he introduces his father . To deal with removing the skin of a deer, speaking calmly of war and responsibilities. Without even looking at his son, he lectures him and makes him tremble.
Frank Underwood in “House of cards”
The neighbors’ dog gets hit and suffers on the sidewalk. He approaches it, warns people, you feel he is all nice, touched. Then Frank finishes the dog. You think he just wanted to shorten his suffering, then you see his impassive face and you hear him explain that he has “no patience for useless things . ” So, you just realized that the guy was merciless, not a bar.
Will McAvoy in “The Newsroom”
A flagship broadcaster of a show, he leads a debate in which he seems outdated. He seems to have given up. People are incensed, remain calm. Even absent. One understands that it adapted to the environment, that maneuver tranquillou. He no longer takes risks, no longer pushes people to their last limits, no longer seeks confrontation. But this is not all: he knows how to make himself loved . After a question, Will McAvoy launches into a long tirade showing up and down across why the United States is the largest country that exists. And it dries everyone.
Dexter Morgan in “Dexter”
It is discovered in full spinning, following a Mike Donovan, pastor of his state. A man loved and respected. Then we see Dexter, this time in the back seat of the pastor, and he tightens his throat with a thread. Ah yeah, okay, pretty cash like intro. And it’s not over: Dexter takes the pastor where a grave awaits him . Already filled with the children he killed and raped. And boom, Dexter stumbles. We begin to understand the killer, our positioning rocking, we begin to cogitate. Which of these characters did you most notice the first time you saw him?
The post The first time you saw these series characters, you knew it was going to be the fire first appeared on The Siver Times.

They have assured and contributed to the success of the film, and this gives us the opportunity to see them in another light. Before they replay again in feature films, this time scrutinized by all.
Johnny Galecki in the movie “The Fir has the balls”
He has 14 pins and is in 1989. In this film, he plays the role of Russell Griswold, a cheerful teenager, son of Chevy Chase aka Clark Griswold. A film unknown to the battalion here in France, which was part of a successful franchise on the other side of the Atlantic . And a role that served to reveal other actors, having also interpreted “Rusty”, such as Anthony Michael Hall.
Jim Parsons in “Garden State”
Far from the asocial geek Sheldon Cooper, the actor was called here Tim, a young man with surprising life. Lover of a much older woman weedy smuggler , and employed to wear a steel knight’s outfit. Including to walk around and have breakfast. What remains one of the best scenes of this film where you laugh most of the time. Info: Natalie Portman plays in.
It is more creeping limit like that …
Simon Helberg in “Like Cinderella”
You see the awkward Howard, nerd, stressed, unintentionally kissing “The Big Bang Theory”? Well this is almost the same thing in this film of 2004 where he meets Hillary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. Under the name of Terry, he spends his time following the pretty woman and hopes to seduce her , still in her bubble.
Mayim Bialik in “Over the Life”
A movie to look under the duvet, when you have a soft stroke. But who can very well make you chill too, let’s be honest. Love, friendship , life what … More sparkling and sexy than in Amy , the actress appears here as the child version of the character Cecilia Carol Bloom. Rousse, smiling and very young, limit you do not recognize her.
Kevin Sussman in “Wet Hot American Summer”
A classic (with Paul Rudd and Bradley Cooper) in the stupid comedy genre that you look without thinking, just to laugh foolishly. And after all, when the mission is accomplished, it proves that it is done right. Despite a minor role, the one known as Stuart, the manager of the comic books store, brings its stone to the building. Here Steve, he only speaks with a robot voice and possesses super natural powers . All this is in a camp where the facilitators try to re-establish the situation on the last day. Has anyone ever looked at them?
The post You can not wait to see the actors of “The Big Bang Theory” in movies? first appeared on The Siver Times.
