The month of May is always loaded in terms of series, with all the final seasons going on and some summer series starting. Not to mention the Netflix series that land every month and come to shake everything up. This month of May was another emotional month, between tension episodes, the tragic deaths, the couples who make and break and of course the fact of having to say goodbye to certain shows the time of the Summer – or even forever . As at the end of each month, the editor of melty offers you to discover the 10 series that have marked the last 31 days . And since we can not see everything and we all have different opinions, we invite you to share your Top Series of May in the comments.
9 – Scandal
It was known before the release of the double episode of season finale, the season 7 of Scandal will be the last , making the end of season 6 even more important since it sets up as pawns for the latest chapter Series. If we found the first part of the final season a little slow and a bit too quiet, everything was played in episode 16 and all the cards are now redistributed in order to offer us a totally different last season. Olivia Pope has embraced a little more her side “dark” , no longer hesitating to eliminate people who get in the way of his goal. Despite some mistakes, we were pleasantly surprised by this end of season.
8 – The Flash
The Flash concluded its third season last week with a rather touching yet predictable episode. After a season that had some problems with the plot, The Flash is doing pretty well with this final season which already puts in place the bases of season 4. If, not surprisingly, Iris is not dead As had been predicted, his character played an important role in this end and it is no worse. Despite some predictable intrigues and springs, The Flash fulfills his contract and offers us a end of the season full of action, twists and turns and where we even had to take out the handkerchiefs!
7 – Jane The Virgin
The CW series is one of those underestimated series – to go hand in hand with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend – especially because of the channel on which it is broadcast. And yet, it’s still a beautiful season that Jane The Virgin offers us with an end to the top. The series always mixes humor and emotion, and it was once again a real emotional roller coaster that follows the adventures of Jane and all the other characters in the series. Despite its very low audiences, the series was renewed by the CW for a season 4 and we are already looking forward to discovering all this because Jane is missing us already!
6 – Supergirl
The second seasons are often a bad time to play for the playoffs, but we can say that Supergirl is doing pretty well, especially with its final season as exciting as it is moving. Admittedly, the season has seen ups and downs, especially in the middle of the season, but it has caught up well on the end, putting her heroine back at the center of the action. With the final season, the different female characters were highlighted and the return of Cat Grant was only the icing on the cake . What a pity that his character does not come back for season 3 … The series has been bold on the end and we really hope that season 3 will be to this image.
5 – Gray’s Anatomy
We all agree more or less to say, this thirteenth season of Gray’s Anatomy is far from perfect and some intrigues have really left something to be desired. However, we can not deny that the last two episodes of season 13 have largely raised the level giving us really want to discover the season 14 . Not only was the final season disaster, which was enormously teased by the production, offered us cold sweats – or hot rather – with this fire, but it allowed to give a very beautiful end to Stephanie Edwards. Indeed, Jerrika Hinton leaves the series and it is a true heroine that his character bids us farewell.
4 – Agents of SHIELD
Agents of SHIELD closed its fourth season as brilliantly as it did, with Ghost Rider returning to close the loop. The characters have yet to face new challenges – some of which will change them forever – but whatever happens is that they can always count on each other and that’s what they Helped defeat AIDA. If one adds to the well-structured intrigues, the dialogues that make flies and the development of characters always well conducted, the political subtext of Agents of Hydra, one really faces one of the best seasons of 2016-2017 .
3 – Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt / Master of None
We plead guilty! We were not able to decide between the two Netflix comedies, both of which were released this month on the SVOD platform. Both are hilarious, but they are very different but we love them as much. It is always a pleasure to recapture the sarcastic and ultra-referenced humor of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and his colorful characters. Season 3 plays the card of feminism, while still offering wacky and offbeat plots. As for Master of None , we must say that magic always operates with this second season which is just as good and funny as the first. These two comedies are very original, each in their own way, and if you have not yet watched them, go for it!
2 – The Handmaid’s Tale
Last month we discovered Hulu’s brilliant but glittering The Handmaid’s Tale and since then we have to admit that our fascination with this series has not diminished. We know that it will make us suffer, yet every week we are eager to discover the new episode before which we will be hypnotized. His subject is always as strong and multiplying the points of view and the flashbacks on the different characters allow to enlarge the history and to understand a little better all the protagonists. The Handmaid’s Tale is undoubtedly one of the best new releases of 2017 and we are looking forward to seeing how the season will end.
1 – Sense8
After many months of waiting, Sense8 offered us a second season at the height that gives us already looking forward to seeing the continuation . Closer than ever, the sensates continue their struggle against the terrifying Whispers and the BPO organization by discovering more and more information about their past and their powers. The universe of the series has expanded to our delight and there are still many touching and intense scenes that we have been able to discover . We regret a bit the rapidity with which the plot resolves in the final season but what we regret above all is to have to wait for months before we can find Nomi, Capheus, Lito and the others. We cross the fingers and toes so that the series is renewed and, in the meantime, know that you can find our verdict on season 2 of Sense8 , on melty! What is your Top Series of May 2017?

Agents of SHIELD: 3 reasons why Season 4 made it one of the best series this year

A few weeks after the end of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD, one returns to his excellent intrigues which made one of the successes of the year.
We said goodbye to the agents of SHIELD some time ago and after wondering when Agents of SHIELD season 5 would be released , we now offer you a short review on season 4. Obviously, watch out for spoilers if You did not see it. It must be said that this new season proved full of (good) surprises and exciting intrigues and as much to tell you that she seduced us from the beginning to the end or almost. That’s why we list three reasons why Agents of SHIELD was found to be one of the best series of this season 2016-2017 . The first is his rhythm. Season 4 was divided into three parts: Ghost Rider, LMD and Agents of Hydra, and this gave him a steady pace of the most enjoyable.
The second reason why Season 4 shone is of course his alternative universe completely mastered. Many series have tried this scriptwriting feat that works only if it is well executed and like Fringe, Agents of SHIELD has distinguished itself by its excellence. In this world where AIDA, alias Ophelia, is at the head of an overpowering Hydra, all or almost all roles are reversed and the agents of SHIELD are transformed from heroes to villains. Seeing Phil Coulson fear the SHIELD or Leopold Fitz from a frightening coldness and a rare cruelty to Jemma turned out to be very destabilizing and gave us cold back several times . Surprise returns of characters, Had seen more for a long time – hello Ward! – the emotions provoked by Mack and his daughter Hope, everything was there to keep us in suspense and make us wait each new episode with impatience.
Finally the third reason why the Marvel series particularly liked us this season is that it was not afraid to take risks. By transforming the majority of his characters into clones in the LMD plot to rest only on one or two “real” heroes – such as Daisy and Jemma – the series proves that all characters are important and developed equally . Each one had its intrigues and adventures so that one is attached to all the members of the SHIELD and that all have the capacity to arouse our interest and to keep it during several episodes. Even when the others go to the background or squarely on the side of Hydra, seeing one or two heroes is not disturbing. Short, A series at the top that tends to be underestimated but that continues to surprise us and seduce us after four seasons. Scandal Season 6: Episode 1, Who is the new President of the United States? Our criticism

Last night, Scandal made his big comeback on the American channel ABC with the first episode of its season 6. Then discover without further delay our critique of “Survival of the Fittest”
After many months of waiting, we finally discovered episode 1 of season 6 of Scandal and the least we can say is that the game was worth the candle. For the beginning of the new chapter, Scandal offers us an explosive episode, full of twists and Olivia with more bad-ass than ever. What a pleasure to find the secrets and the tricks of Washington! “Survival of the Fittest” begins with a scene that gives us immediately the tone of the episode, with an explosion happening under the nose of Quinn and Huck. Then, we are plunged directly into the bath of the elections since we find the characters the evening of the results of the popular vote. While it is only a matter of waiting for the results of a California county to determine the winner, the series takes us in reverse and has elected Francisco Vargas, new President of the United States . Obviously, this victory plunges us straight into the news with the recent defeat of Hillary Clinton against Donald Trump – although Francisco Vargas is far from resembling Trump. One imagines then that the reactions of Mellie Grant are close to those that could have felt Clinton. It was then Olivia had to confront reality with her candidate. “We lost They won It’s over..” , She said – even if the rest of the episode will show us that it is far from finished. The scene where Mellie calls Vargas to congratulate him is very powerful, especially because of his sobriety and we could not help but have tears in his eyes. After all, we really wanted to see Mellie as the new President.
While Olivia and Mellie share one of their famous scenes where they drink and trust – we love scenes – Liv apologizes for lost and by then well feel the disappointment of losing power so close goal. However, they will soon be interrupted because the President who has just been elected has been shot at! A bounce of situation that has not seen at all come and that will allow the series to explore a situation for the moment unprecedented in the history of the United States. What happens if the President dies before the great voters have been able to vote? We must recognize the skill of Shonda Rhimes has surfed on the news, while lifting intelligent questions, peppering the whole of turnaround that keep the viewer glued to his chair . Fitz discovers that responsibility rests with him – more or less – because it is his speech that will give the direction that the great voters will have to follow. The death of Vargas creates an opening for Olivia who sees then an opportunity to return Mellie in the race to the oval office. Besides, if the latter has a brief moment of flutter during which she no longer wants this position, a touching discussion shared with Fitz reminds her of what she really wants.
Throughout the episode, one discovers that many things have changed. The relationship between Liv and Fitz seems to have improved, Marcus no longer works for Olivia and has no relationship with Mellie. If sometimes this can create misunderstandings in the plot, here it brings freshness to the series that needed to get back to its basics. Finally, the biggest turnaround of all – the fact that Cyrus probably killed Vargas – and that the evidence comes after Fitz’s speech gives us an idea of the rest of the season. Olivia Pope will not sleep until Cyrus pays and she can not prove her guilt. This scene where she whispers all this in the ear has made us shiver, it’s official Olivia Pope is back! After this fine introduction with episode 1, we look forward to see the end of season 6 of Scandal . Agents of SHIELD Season 4: Episode 7, a new pact with the devil, our criticism

Last night the American channel ABC broadcast the episode 7 of Season 4 of Agents of SHIELD. Then discover our critique of “Deals with our Devils” and the promotional video of the next.

After months of waiting, we finally discovered what happened to Coulson, Fitz and Robbie. If you remember, at the end of episode 6 of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD , Eli, with his experience, has removed the three men without knowing where they had landed. “Deals with our Devils” shows exactly where the other was completed and the rest of the team is therefore looking for three missing while Eli is the trunk. Daisy is convinced that they are all three still alive – particularly because they have already survived so many other things – and his optimism and faith will push May to do all it can to find a way to get them back. Coulson, Fitz and Robbie are indeed alive , but maybe not for long. They are in another dimension, able to see and hear the other but they do not hear. But this is everything, then they are “sucked” more toward the bottom, Ghost Rider inside Robbie is not for this alternative. Apparently, he really knows what to expect and has no desire to return. He managed to get out the body of Robbie and put in the first one it finds: Mack.
Mack will then find themselves possessed by Ghost Rider and heading straight to Chinatown, Daisy and Robbie on his heels. Finally, Robbie convinces Ghost Rider returned from his body telling him that Mack is not made for it and offering it a new market: “help me to avenge me of Eli, settle my account and I set in want. All yours ” . The vengeful spirit can not shrink from such a proposal and noted side one can not help but say that Robbie just made a terrible mistake . Moreover, if one believes the last image of Mack, it was much upset by the Ghost Rider pass in his body and that should probably have consequences later. Meanwhile, May is convinced that the answer to save Coulson, Fitz and Robbie is in the Darkhold, this magical book that Coulson specifically asked him not to touch. She asks for help to Dr. Radcliffe, but even he was terrified by the glimpse he had of the book. Fitz, who attends the whole scene, then understand that it’s AIDA to help them – which proves to be both a good and a terrible idea …
If AIDA is able to read and understand the book and managed to open a portal able to bring all three unharmed, it will not stop there. While Radcliffe celebrates victory on his side, AIDA continues to delve into the Darkhold and SHIELD could then end up with an enemy more formidable Eli . We do not know you, but it is thought that Aida possession Darkhold not bode well. Finally, we finally discovered what was the secret mission of Simmons and it concerns the brother of Nadeer senator who is in a cocoon of Terrigenesis. He is remembered as a Nadeer asked Mace to favor in exchange for his silence about Ghost Rider and Daisy.
