Death in cinema is a bit like lying in politics: indissociable. And to prove it, here is the list of the 10 most deadly movies, established by the site moviebodycounts.com. Mass murder movies that made the hemoglobin budget fart!
PS: Only the dead visible on the screen are counted, so exit the planet’s destruction coughs cough.
10. “We were Soldiers” by Randall Wallace
In the movie We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson released in 2002, you could witness the death of no fewer than 305 people. Just that.
9. “Titanic” by James Cameron
Titanic is not only the film that makes you chialer, it is also one of the films that counts the greatest number of deaths (ah bah both so linked in fact …). There are 307 deaths in this film!
8. John Woo’s “Foolproof”
In Hard Boiled , the film directed by John Woo we are witnessing the death of 308 people.
7. “The Boulevard of Death” by Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino is a bloody director. The proof, in his film Boulevard de la mort , it ends the days of no less than 310 people.
6. “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” by Peter Jackson
It dies of phew in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers . There are no less than 468 deaths in this second installment of the Lord of the Rings saga.
5. “The Last Samurai” by Edward Zick
The Last Samurai released in 2003 is a bloody film. The casualties amount to 558. Small anecdote: Tom Cruise almost died on the set. In fact, the actor did not decapitate during the filming of one of the scenes of combat of the film (that of the beginning in the fog) . The actor was on a robotic horse supposed to tilt him back at the time of a sword thrust. The system did not work, but the actor Hiroyuki Sanada managed to stop his blade a few centimeters from the star’s neck. Phew.
4. “Troy” by Wolfgang Petersen
Deaths, deaths everywhere in this film with Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Diane Kruger and Sean Bean. There are 572 people who die in this film.
3. “300” by Zack Snyder
300×2 = 600. It is the pile-hair the number of deaths that count in this film.
2. “Kingdom of Heaven” by Ridley Scott
The movie Kingdom of Heaven by Ridley Scott with Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson counts 610 deaths, OKLM.
1. “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” by Peter Jackson
The film The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King directed by Peter Jackson not only has the record of the number of Oscars (cucou the 11 statuettes). No, the work can also claim to count the greatest number of deaths with its 836 victims.
The post The 10 deadliest movies, the hemoglobin budget has exploded! first appeared on The Siver Times.

First information: yes, they were really in pants. Seriously, there are other nice things to know about this slap we took at the time.
Nearly ten years to the day. The film was released in France on March 21, 2007, and yeah! We had made an appointment in ten years, but better to be ahead than to be late. In short, to celebrate this, here are some anecdotes about the film of Zack Snyder, adapted from comic Frank Miller. Your next evening, you can do a little “Did you know?” Special 300, to tell you a little . If we do not lather ourselves, who is going to do it eh?
Normally, all Spartans wore a feathered helmet …
… And not only their leader, in this case King Leonidas, interpreted by Gerard Butler. Why should we depart from facts and history? Simply to make the protagonist easier to identify , especially during (many) combat scenes. So the director Zack Snyder found this technique as simple as it was effective. Come on, it’s a good reason.
The actors followed a sacred program to be also stock
Even if you’re part of the so-called sportsmen, typing your abs and, or, pumps every morning, going to run regularly, going on a bike ride on weekends, dropping, you’re away. The actors had to train four hours a day for seven months (6h even for Butler), under the direction of a physical trainer, without any day’s rest. And food level, misery … Michael Fassbender reported that he ate only almonds and fresh cheese curd.
Respect for land and animals
Okay, ok, I’m expanding the line but frankly, we can emphasize the efforts made . Instead of producing more kilos of plastic to create the weapons, the producers have recovered a good part of the films “Alexander” and “Troy”. As for the animals, no horse was injured or maltreated during the film.
From taf level costume, mine of nothing
One could have believed the opposite, to see the guys walking in panties and three times nothing on the body. Wrong! Leonidas owned 17 helmets , Xerxes 33 facial decorations, and overall, there was a team of more than 60 people who worked full time to create more than 600 costumes, necessary from the beginning to the end of the film.
An efficient shoot
In two months it was torched. But not like you and me when we do the dishes, eh. Not the quick done wrong. Did you see the end result? Clean . And all that in 60 days. This allowed to limit the costs and only clicked $ 69M. Another rare fact, the shooting was chronological, in the order of scenes and history.
The Spartan women really let go of this sentence …
“Come back with their shield .” Either, “Come back with their shield, or on yours” , in VF (I know you understand, I just have to do it, take it personally). This is the sentence pronounced by the Queen when Leonidas goes to confront the Persians , and it corresponds exactly to that of the Spartan women when they saw their husband and son going to fight. Basically, slash them and bring back their shield, or come back on yours. For the man killed with dignity in battle was brought back on his shield by his comrades.
Spartans are the real first hipsters
If you look good, only Astinos does not wear the beard. All the others are not shaved up close like him, completely beardless limit. And that’s normal, because shaving in the Spartans was a dishonor . Only an extreme case justified him: to be in mourning.
If your parents call you Ephialtes, it is because they do not love you too much
Just by referring to the film already, you are not super happy. To be compared to a hunchback with hardly engaging face, a scraping off, no thank you. And when you dig a little, you learn that it means “nightmare” . And in Greece, Ephialtes rhymes with traitor. Truthful. So, you want to see him again?
The post Shooting and historical truth: small anecdotes about the movie “300” first appeared on The Siver Times.

It always happens, no matter what you say. Sobriety, elegance, contrast, simplicity, efficiency. These magnificent films prove it.
So much the worse for the pisses-chihu for whom the recourse to the black and white is a lack of ideas. No but ! Everyone does as he wishes, as we know, tastes and colors do not dispute. Tolerance, the acceptance of the other, the live-together brothel! Sorry. In short, to come to the point, the black and white films remain a sacred visual pleasure and offer us superb snapshots . Moreover, a fan of “Logan” asked on Twitter to director James Mangold to release another version … in black and white obviously. And apparently his wish will be fulfilled. Meanwhile, he (and we too) can watch these movies again.
12 angry men
Released in 1957, this film by Sidney Lumet does not lose in intensity, sixty years later. For one and a half hours, a jury composed of twelve women and men, deliberating whether or not to decide the guilt of a young man accused of parricide. And so, from his death sentence. The opportunity to see how man reflects, acts and reacts according to his education, his personality, his a priori .
——- 1 ——-
It happened close to you
The black and corrosive humor of Benoît Poelvoorde at its peak when it was just beginning. Filmed in a subjective camera, this feature follows Ben in his adventures and misdeeds , a cynical and heartless man capable of the most beautiful flights and the most horrible behaviors. Parody of the show “Strip-Tease” and fake documentary of 50 min originally, by Rémy Belvaux, it was reworked and lengthened. With success.
——- 2 ——-
Sin City
Adapted from a comedy by Frank Miller, it’s a murder that dates from 2005. Directed by the author of the comic himself in duet with Robert Rodriguez, the beauty of the images strikes continuously. You can compare the images of the book and those of the film, it’s crazy . With the trails of bright red blood that come to try the screen, the Tarantino (who participated and brought his style), the contrasts are superb. In the heart of the city of vice and sin, stories multiply and intertwine.
——- 3 ——-
The paths of glory
A dive in the First World War in the trenches in 1916. And a personal analysis (Stanley Kubrick’s) of crude enough on human nature and the devouring ambition of some men who would sacrifice lives for their own glory . A great Kirk Douglas and scenes that take your breath away. Not necessarily spectacular, which is even stronger.
——- 4 ——-
Hate
A story that sounds still today sadly. The perpetual clashes between law enforcement officers and people from working-class districts, incomprehension, rejection, slippage … Dating back to 1995, crowned with three Caesars, Vince (Vincent Cassel) was a young impulsive thirsty for vengeance After the beating of a buddy, Hubert calmed down the game and dreamed, Saïd (Taghmaoui) to mediate … For his second feature, Mathieu Kassovitz, writer, director and editor, breaks the baraque . A classic of French cinema.
——- 5 ——-
Raging Bull
Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci under the direction of Martin Scorsese, already, it reassures. Fortunately, for Jake LaMotta, we did not really know, unless we were a fan of noble art. In summary, it is a life biopic filled with (very) high and (low) of this world boxer of the middleweight boxers from 1949 to 1951 . “The bull of the Bronx” had besides fought our Marcel Cerdan to us, before going to reconversions missed and to see his personal life go in spin. Namely: it was De Niro who pushed to make this film after reading the book about the life of the guy. And that motivated Scorsese, gently but surely. Which began by filming in 8mm color, before realizing that it did not make it right and opt for black and white.
The post It is true that it is class black and white, the proof with these films first appeared on The Siver Times.
