The Originals Season 4: Episode 9, The Sacrifice of SPOILER, Our Critic

Last night, the American channel The CW broadcast episode 9 of season 4 of The Originals. Then discover our review of “Queen Death”, pay attention to the spoilers!
Are we really losing another member of the Original Family? Indeed, episode 9 of season 4 of The Originals ended with the sacrifice of Elijah which allowed the rebirth of the Hollow . It must be admitted that “Queen Death” is a rather confusing episode in which there is a lot of things happening without always understanding the ins and outs. Moreover, the fact that the characters change several times of plan of attack does not help in anything and everything that turns around the Hollow remains still vague. The episode begins while Elijah is dying at low fire, poisoned by Marcel’s venom. Sofya, still possessed by the Hollow, promises to return Elijah if her family gives her the last missing bone for her rebirth.
All the characters are then on the war foot. Vincent wants at all costs to prevent the Hollow from returning, even to sacrifice Elijah for the good of all. Marcel wants to save Sofya. And, of course, Hayley and the Mikaelson want to save Elijah. Negotiations are not easy, especially because we still feel resentment in Vincent’s words, after all, the Mikaelson had not hesitated to sacrifice Davina. After much reflection, they still manage to find a plan to try to save everyone, but this will involve Klaus’ sacrifice. The latter is ready to put his life in danger to protect his daughter and Freya must recover his soul to put it in the pendant that had been occupied once by the soul of Finn.
Vincent can not complete the ritual of Klaus’ sacrifice and the Hollow is too powerful to allow Freya and Hayley to save Elijah. As we witness the death of the latter, we can see the blue light of the Hollow becoming more and more intense, feeding on the strength of the Mikaelson. Their rescue operation did fail and it is unclear whether their last-minute idea of putting Elijah in the pendant worked. If Hope and Freya end up seeing and hearing Elijah, he is far away and they hear him scream. Does this mean that we must keep hope for Elijah? If the emotion is very strong after the death of Elijah, the lack of clarity on what is happening makes lose intensity to the scene and is a shame. The episode of The Originals ends with the rebirth of the Hollow – in a fairly disgusting scene, it must be confessed – that takes again human form, one thinks that the worst is yet to come for the Mikaelson, their allies and even all The people of New Orleans. The Originals Season 4: Episode 7, A Truce between Marcel and Klaus? Our criticism

Last night, the American channel The CW broadcast episode 7 of season 4 of The Originals. Then discover our review of “High Water and a Devil’s Daughter”.
If the characters have each made progress to find a way to destroy the Hollow, the Hollow continues to become more powerful and has even found a body to inhabit. Episode 7 of season 4 of The Originals begins as the Mikaelson discover that Dominic is still alive and that he remains a threat to their family. Freya then conjures a protective spell around their house, preventing Hayley, Klaus, Hope and Marcel from getting out. She then decides to find this Dominic in order to learn more about the bones that could allow the Hollow to resume form on Earth. With the help of Josh, she puts a trap to Dominic and succeeds in making him prisoner. But while she has the upper hand and begins to get real information from her, Dominic makes him believe that Keelin is dead. Freya, who has grown closer to Keelin during the last episodes, loses control of his magic under the rage and Dominic takes the opportunity to regain the upper hand and kill it . What ?!
Fortunately, Keelin, a bad-ass werewolf, is safely out of the battle with Dominic’s minions and arrives in time to resuscitate Freya by making her heart bounce back with a big blow on her chest . She literally beats her heart, aw . However, once awakened, Freya understands that if she died even a few moments, the spell of protection had to be lifted and her family is therefore in danger. In an excess of anger – and certainly because of the fear of losing loved ones – Freya sends violently to walk Keelin, without even a “thank you” . When Freya arrives at their residence, Hayley is unconscious and Klaus s’ Is already busy with Dominic – is he really dead this time? – but Hope and Marcel have disappeared. Indeed, during their captivity, Hope paid a visit to Marcel and they got along quite well. If Marcel always feels rage towards his adoptive father, we know that he remains a good and just man and that he would never hurt Hope. As we suspected, it is Hope that allows a truce between Marcel and Klaus – this little door bears his name well .
Meanwhile, Elijah is still doing his little thing on his side. We do not know you, but we do not recognize Elijah since the beginning of this season 4 of The Originals . Violent, imprudent or even thoughtless, Elijah rushes headlong without really thinking too much about the consequences . After killing Dominic in front of everyone in episode 6 of season 4 of The Originals , this week he slit four young witches from the French Quarter for the Harvest ritual. Vincent is totally shocked to see the bodies of these young girls – and it is understood – because Elijah did not respect the ritual at all. Besides, the ancestors are not delighted either, and Vincent must then do something quite disturbing, for him as for us. He breaks the grave of Davina Claire – preparing us thus the return of this one in the next episode – and leaves his skull. Glaucous . Through his skull, he asks him to intervene in their favor with the ancestors and it works. The witches of New Orleans are again connected to the ancestors.
The paths of Freya and Keelin end up recrossing and it is time for confrontation. Fortunately, the dispute does not last long and closes on their first kiss. Finally ! If the characters seem to find a semblance of peace at the end of the episode, it should not last long because the Hollow is far from having finished with them. He appears in the guise of a woman and seizes the body of Sofya, which is now possessed . Indeed, the return of the ancestors frightens the Hollow and the latter thinks that the body of Sofya is the perfect place to hide. In any case, we did not bother a second before this episode full of twists and Charles Michael Davis (Marcel) did a very good job for his first time behind the camera. Furthermore, The tiny wink at The Vampire Diaries with the mention of Tyler Lockwood had to please the fans. Very soon! What did you think of this episode?

The Originals Season 4: Episode 3, Hope in Danger, Our Critic

Last night, the American channel The CW broadcast season 3 episode The Originals. Then discover without further delay our critique of “Haunter of Ruins”.
This fourth season of The Originals is very dark. Between the sacrifices of children and a magic that seems uncontrollable, the Mikaelson will have to face a new force that remains still very mysterious. In episode 3 of season 4 of The Originals , we find the Mikaelson as they each try to get to their new freedom. Without precise goals, without enemies to fight, one feels that they are lost and tensions rise. Besides, Kol and Rebekah decide to leave their side, wishing to enjoy their life rather than stay in a place where they are not in any way unwilling. If Kol leaves like a thief, Rebekah makes a point of at least saying goodbye to Klaus. The farewells are moving and for the first time in their entire history, Klaus agrees to let his sister leave to find happiness, as he found it with Hope . We hope all the same that the two Mikaelson will be back during the season, because we love to see the family almost – complete.
For his part, Klaus was finally able to see his little girl, who grew well in five years. Their first contact is timid, but very quickly one feels that a special bond unites them. For the moment, the young Mikaelson is all that is most innocent. Their scenes are very cute, we really do not usually see Klaus like that. In another style, we have the reunion between Hayley and Elijah, who despite the joy of being found, can not help but have the guilt of their past acts that weigh on their shoulders. We are still very happy that they are finally together. As for Freya, she alone continues to fear for their safety. She refuses to let Keelin leave, because she wants to have her venom at hand if Marcel decides to attack them. She’ll go after him after Hayley releases him. In the end, she understands that Keelin could bring her much more than her venom: her medical expertise. His plan ? Combine magic and medicine to find a way to kill Marcel!
Meanwhile, Vincent tells Marcel about the dark events taking place in New Orleans. A mysterious force directly linked to black magic hovers over the city and places the lives of children in particular. It turns out that Vincent knows more than anyone thought about the subject, especially because he has already experienced this with his wife, Eva, when she was expecting their child. This is an opportunity for us to see Maisie Richardson-Sellers again in her role as a diabolic witch. For the moment, we do not yet know much about all that, except that the force seems directly related to Vincent and that it puts the lives of five children in danger, including Hope Mikaelson . The young witch and the rest of her family will have to return to New Orleans so that Vincent illuminates them. “The Haunters of Ruins” is more enjoyable than the episode 2 of season 3 of The Originals , despite still a few lengths and we really look forward to getting into the heart of the matter because the whole seems a little too predictable at the moment.
