Gulliver Travels
The novel by Jonathan Swift (1721) inspired a pack of filmmakers for almost three centuries. Georges Méliès drew a short film in 1903, films were released in 1939 and 1960, before the last opus with Jack Black, Emily Blunt and Jason Segel in 2011. We often hear that young people watch more series than films. Except for those stories there, whose format has evolved the other way.

The plot, the characters, their links, the important events … Nevertheless, the writing is not the same, between a series composed of multiple episodes and a good feature film in one go. In any case, to say that one watches only series is exaggerated and one proves it by showing the examples where we look at cinematographic versions of what our parents were watching on TV .
Scooby-Doo
Distributed from 1969 to 1970 on CBS, the original series “Scooby-Doo, where are you?” Had introduced the four adolescent hunters of supernatural mysteries, aboard their van.
