Shameless, Sense8, Orphan Black: Series that did not participate in the 2017 World Cup

It is not because they are not in competition that they have been forgotten.
This is the end of the first round of our 2017 World Cup and you still have a little time to go HERE for your favorite series ! As every year, choices have had to be made and some series have therefore been set aside since it is impossible to select absolutely all series . A short tour of the series that did not participate but that we adore nevertheless.
Shameless US
The Shameless series in the American style is still not part of our competition but it is not for lack of love. The Gallagher family continues to make us laugh and cry with their adventures and we are already looking forward to Fiona, Lip, Debbie, Ian and the others in the next season . Adapted from the British eponymous series, Shameless tells of the galleys of a large family whose parents are not exactly models. But their trials bring them closer together and always show a sense of solidarity as powerful as it is touching despite all their disputes. Even if she can not win the competition, Shameless has already won in our hearts.
Supergirl
Superman’s cousin Superman is not part of the competition but everyone knows her legendary strength and merit. Supergirl never ceases to amaze us by continuing to fight against all the assailants of National City and season 2 has ended on a grand episode . With her sister Alex at her side and gifted and courageous friends, Kara is there to repel all threats and we hope to see her continue on the CW for many more years.
Orphan Black
Sarah Manning’s clones also deserved to be part of the 2017 World Cup and you can testify to your love for Orphan Black in the comments below. The series that blends thriller and science fiction to perfection continues to amaze us with its ever more intensive and mysterious intrigues. Cloning, women’s rights to their bodies, genetic evolution … All these fascinating themes are highlighted thanks to the talent of the incredible Tatiana Maslany, who alone composes at least half of the cast.

Despite his too early cancellation, Sense8 would deserve to win all the competitions. His intrigue around eight mind-connected sensates that are fighting an organization that wants to dissect their brains is as original as well-conducted. Filming around the world, casting as talented as diversified, the message of tolerance and love that it transmits … We miss everything, but above all the cluster that we have come to know and love through the Two seasons …
Suits
Suits’ Season 7 is back this summer, July 12th, but for our Summer Series group too, we had to make choices. Yet even if it is not in this category, it does not mean that we forget it. It is always a pleasure to continue to follow the adventures of Mike and Harvey, and even more so since Mike finally became a lawyer . We can not wait to see him rework at Specter & Litt despite his sometimes heated relationship with Harvey and know what awaits them in the next season!
The Handmaid’s Tale
She arrives very quickly on OCS – June 27 more precisely – and we can only advise her: The Handmaid’s Tale offered us a first masterful season that takes to the guts. By plunging us into a dystopian future where women no longer have any rights over their bodies, the adapted series of Margaret Atwood’s novel shows a frightening world of realism . Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Top of the Lake) shines in the title role and the rest of the equally talented cast only adds to the intensity of the entire series.
Gotham
The DC series may well be out of competition this year, that does not mean that we put Gotham aside to forget it. Season 3 has just ended on the FOX but she has not been selected to be part of the Summer Series in the 2017 World Cup. Yet the adventures of James Gordon are still exciting to follow And we hope to continue learning more about the Wayne family’s past with Bruce . In short, the FOX has offered us a lively season which makes us look forward to seeing the sequel in September.
Here is a quick tour of some of the series that were not in competition but still deserve all our love. We have also not forgotten This is Us, Nashville, The Leftovers, iZombie, Big Little Lies or House of Cards that we also carry in our hearts but we had to make choices. Once Upon A Time, Gotham, Quantico, Agents of SHIELD … all these series in danger of cancellation!

We take stock of the series that oscillate between renewal and cancellation and whose current season may very well be the last.
A week from the beginning of the 2017 upfronts, it is time to take stock of the series that are, as they say in the United States, “in the bubble” . These are the shows of the network channels that have not yet been renewed and whose fate remains totally uncertain . If, in general, it is sometimes possible to predict fairly easily through the hearings which series will be renewed, some are exceptional. Whether thanks to their critical success, a devoted fanbase or simply a show that is close to the heart of the chain, chains can sometimes afford to keep series with weak audiences.
ABC
On the ABC channel, there are four shows whose renewal is still uncertain: American Crime, Agents of SHIELD, Once Upon A Time and Quantico . As for the first, it has always been widely acclaimed by critics. Between his 13 Emmy nominations, including two trophies won, it is certain that the series is important for the chain. On the other hand, it also the series with the worst hearings of ABC. As far as Agents of SHIELD is concerned , it is the arrival of the new series The Inhumans that could harm him. Will ABC keep two shows Marvel knowing they are expensive to produce?
Once Upon A Time has always been ABC’s pillar on Sunday night but recently this pillar is falling apart. His audiences have never been so low and the contracts of the actors come to an end at the end of the season. Maybe a reboot of the series, with a new cast that would cost less to the chain would then be the solution for ABC to keep the series and that it offers a real renewal to its fans. Knowing that ABC is part of the same group as Disney, the series has several reasons to want to keep Once Upon A Time in its programs. Lastly, Quantico is also in the hot seat despite a slight rise in hearings since it passed on Monday evening.
CBS
This is the channel that has the most “in the bubble” series with 2 Broke Girls, Black Code, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Elementary and The Great Indoors. 2 Broke Girls is in its sixth season on CBS and if it has served much in the chain, its audiences keep tumbling down and the series could start to cost the chain a lot. The channel has already renewed 16 of its series and 2 Broke Girls was not part of it, is this a sign? The question also arises for the following series. If the arrival of Rob Lowe in season 2 of Code Black gave a new breath to the series, it was not enough to raise the hearings. As for Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders , in addition to having disappointing hearings for the channel, it also inherited the title of worst series in 2016, by Metacritic. The spin-offs of Criminal Minds are definitely struggling to find their audience.
The big advantage that Elementary has to hope for a new season is the fact that the series belongs to the chain. Besides that the show works very well internationally, which is always a plus . Unfortunately, Elementary does not work as well in the US and ranks 23rd out of the 26 programs CBS offers. Last year, the series was barely renewed, what will it be like this year? The Great Indoors is the only novelty in the chain that is “in the bubble” . While other comedies like Kevin Can Wait or Man With a Plan have already been renewed,
FOX
On the FOX side, it is for Gotham, The Last Man on Earth and New Girl that we worry . Gotham , whose season 3 has just resumed on the FOX, has not been renewed while that with which it forms a duet on Monday night, Lucifer , yes. The series is one of the ten best shows in the chain but the possible arrival of Gifted – a Marvel series – could perhaps push FOX to abandon Gotham to save money. On NBC are the future of Blindspot, The Blacklist: Redemption and Timeless that are in the balance. The CW
The CW has already renewed many of its series, but iZombie and The Originals are on the spot, a bit like every year. While season 3 of iZombie has just arrived on the channel, the hearings are not really in the fixed. However, the series Rob Thomas are often acclaimed by critics, as was Veronica Mars , and IZombie no exception to the rule. Can we then expect a season 4 to the series knowing that it hardly does better than Frequency which will most likely be canceled? With only 0.3% of 18-49 year-olds, Julie Plec’s series is far behind the series of superheroes that make the chain’s success. Justice League: Lex Luthor at the casting, a mythical place confirmed?

The presence of Lex Luthor in the cast of Justice League should have put us on the chip. It would seem that a mythical place of comics is present in the film!

When one is a criminal of scale who misses a small box, one does not finish just behind bars! No, especially when you call the Joker, Harley Quinn or Lex Luthor and you’re one of the worst bad guys DC Comics that exist. And here, fans of Batman may see where the editing of melty is coming. And yes, among the many mythical places introduced in the comics, the most terrifying and chilling of them is none other than Arkham Asylum – Arkham Asylum or VO – psychiatric and correctional institute where all land disturbed that The bat man manages to stop. Suffice to say that it is not frankly good to live! And the famous asylum may well serve as decoration for some scenes in Justice League. Because, as you know, an important figure of DCEU – aka Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) – is in the cast of the film and we all remember the last scene he shared with Bruce Wayne in Batman vs Superman . You know, the one where our vigilant announced that he would rot … in a cell in Arkham Asylum precisely . What we put a flea in the ear, especially a new evidence seems to confirm the presence of this mythical place in the movie Justice League !
And it is on the record IMDB of Justice League – and in particular on the list of its cast – that is the famous proof. Indeed, we read that a Eghan Daniel plays the guard … Arkham number 2 (where is the 1 that, mystery)! So yes, it seems that the camera of Zack Snyder drags us into the corridors of the Asylum of Arkham, probably to allow us to cross again Lex Luthor. This is not it, after all, came into contact with Steppenwolf, as could reveal the deleted scenes from Batman vs Superman ? And is he not aware that the creatures of Apokolips are about to invade the Earth?
