This was one of the novelties expected for the Samsung Galaxy S8, which unveiled its interior , and it could well turn against him. When the announcement of the presence of the scanner of iris (already experienced with the late Galaxy Note 7), the aficionados of new technologies were delighted. But among them were pirates who claim to have pirated this function. It is the German group Chaos Computer Club which has highlighted a rather simple way to fool the scanner (but not necessarily simple to implement, it must be admitted). For that, just take a picture of the owner’s eye with a digital camera. But that’s not all.
Because the snapshot must be taken in infrared mode thanks to the digital camera. The sensor using these lights, hacking can only be set up with this method. The Samsung Galaxy S8 (soon to be compatible with a new VR headset) can be duped. What to be a bit scary … Because in an increasingly connected world, hacking a smartphone can be a breeze for an ill-intentioned person. It remains to be seen how Samsung intends to solve this problem. Improve the system of the next smartphone or abandon the iris scanner? What do you think of this matter?
The post Samsung Galaxy S8: The iris scan hacked by hackers? first appeared on The Siver Times.

While the Galaxy S8 is almost official, it is high time to take an interest in Samsung’s future smartphones. And it falls well, the Galaxy Note 8 has just been entitled to its first rendered in 2017.
At a time when its lines are written, we know almost everything about the Samsung Galaxy S8 whose presentation would be scheduled for the end of March . But very little news circulated about the Galaxy Note 8 which will have the heavy task to make forget the fiasco of Note 7. Today, the future Korean phablette is unveiled in an attractive rendering. Among the features of the future Note 8 are an iris scanner, a Snapdragon 835 or even a Snapdragon 840, as well as the 12 megapixels of the Galaxy S8. Without further ado, discover this concept which risks leaving you speechless!
Thinner but wider than a Galaxy S8, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would be equipped with a Type-C USB port and an 8-megapixel front camera. The Korean phablette would also be equipped with the new S Pen that was discovered on the Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book . Aesthetically speaking, the Galaxy Note 8 would not have a home button and would be designed primarily out of glass. In any case, this is what Techconfigurations thinks that is at the origin of this concept.
The post In the meantime the Galaxy S8, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 unveils in a concept! first appeared on The Siver Times.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is one of the most anticipated phones of this year 2017 notably thanks to its many features. And two of them may have just been confirmed by a dealer who has made available the Samsung Galaxy S8 shells , of which @evleaks has teased the name of a model . This is a product showing an iris scanner and an additional button intended for Bixby under for sound. Nothing surprising for the iris scanner since the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was equipped with it and that the firm seems to want to bet thoroughly on this technology rather cool to unlock its smartphone with its simple look!
Bixby will compete with Apple’s most popular voice assistant, Siri. The button may be visible under the sound and if this shell is well-suited to the South Korean phone, will activate Bixby very quickly. Of course, as long as the Samsung Galaxy S8 – whose firm expects big sales – has not been confirmed , these photos are to be taken with tweezers . But it’s a safe bet that the flagship will look like the glimpses used to show the hulls. Samsung , one of the leaders of smartphones, is expected at the turn. His next-born will have to catch up with the fiasco of the Galaxy Note 7 while reassuring its many users. What do you think of this leak?
The post Samsung Galaxy S8: Iris scanner and button for Bixby confirmed? first appeared on The Siver Times.
