From a desert planet to a viscous swamp through a world of ice and a city floating in the clouds, the saga has always taken us to very, very diverse places. And, thanks to the new trilogy, we have not finished visiting the galaxy! If we go back to Tatooine or Endor in Star Wars: The Last Jedi , there is no doubt that our heroes will also take us on new planets. Starting with Ahch-To, where Luke chose to live in exile and whose secrets should be discovered through Rey. But according to Making Star Wars, we will also have the opportunity to go on a whole new world , Very different from those we have seen so far in the films of the saga. And for good reason, it would be a planet-casino. Intriguing, intriguing …
The site claims that a whole new planet named Canto Bight will make its appearance in the saga and that it would be linked to the secret mission of Finn . But not only ! Because it would also be there that we would meet DJ, the presumed character of Benicio Del Toro in Star Wars: The Last Jedi . According to Making Star Wars, the scenes taking place on Canto Bight, whose name remains to be confirmed, were filmed in Dubrovnik from where, you may remember, we had received some pictures of the shoot. At the time, the possibility of the character of Benicio Del Toro being connected in one way or another to the scenery on the images was mentioned. What then let us think that this ancient rumor was not far from the truth. But that’s not all ! Because always according to the site, a decor of prison would also have been constructed so that there are turned some scenes. And here at melty, we think we’d see DJ locked up behind bars … before he’s released by Finn and the character of Kelly Marie Tran – who apparently is supposed to help our hero – Gives them a helping hand as part of their secret mission. But all this is only conjecture. Even though the idea of a casino planet, so inevitably a bit shady, is still exciting! What kind of planet would you like to see in Star Wars: The Last Jedi? J locked up behind bars … before he was released by Finn and the character of Kelly Marie Tran – who apparently is supposed to help our hero – so he can give them a helping hand as part of their secret mission. Of course, it is necessary to ensure that the characters and the events are consistent in the history of the franchise and that they do not contradict what happened in the previous opus . That is a very important point. But we forget that we must also pay attention to the most minute details, such as … the names of places and planets ! Because it is necessary to stay in the tone of the saga without also imagining completely improbable denominations. As a result, We imagine that Gareth Edwards and his screenwriter Gary Whitta had to brainstorm well when it was necessary to name the various planets of the first spin-off of Star Wars . Moreover, the director, who recently unveiled an unexpected Easter Egg present in Star Wars: Rogue One , has a funny anecdote to tell about it. An anecdote about the name of the planet Scarif, where the final battle of the film takes place, which he took the time to tell in an interview for CNN and that melty makes you share. Has a funny anecdote to tell about it. Has a funny anecdote to tell about it. An anecdote about the name of the planet Scarif, where the final battle of the film takes place, which he took the time to tell in an interview for CNN and that melty makes you share.
The director tells that, instructed by Gary Whitta to find the name of the planet, he had studied the matter at length. And that the inspiration finally came to him during a passage in a coffee of the famous signboards Starbucks! He said, ” I went to the Starbucks to have a coffee and said, ‘What could be his name?’ ‘But maybe we could use that?’ ‘And then [the waitress ] When I asked for my name, I answered ‘Gareth’, but they had to hear ‘Scarif’, they had written ‘Scarif’ on the goblet and I said to myself: .. It looks like something out of Star Wars’ I came home and I gave it to Gary and said, ‘her name Scarif.’ . And there’s no doubt that the anecdote itself will do the same, especially if it’s also featured in the complete guide to the Star Wars universe: Rogue One ! What do you think of the name of the planet? And now what? Well, now, we wait. We’re expecting April, which should mark the waves with the first teaser of Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi in the annual Star Wars Celebration . Yes, two months is the time that he will obviously have to wait before having the very first images of the film. And we are not even sure that they will not simply constitute a video behind the scenes! What, meltynauts, does not prevent us from dreaming or hoping. Nor to imagine what it could take place in the first TRUE teaser of Star Wars 8 . And on this subject, a rumor has been running since yesterday on the net, Launched by Star Wars News Net. If he does not know the exact content of the future teaser, he would have discovered … what characters could show up ! As much to say that the names that are mentioned are obviously the ones that are expected the most.
According to the website, therefore, the first teaser for Star Wars 8 would pride to the Resistance and therefore, inevitably, our General Leia . And we do not have too much trouble believing, to show the character of Carrie Fisher in the video representing a new opportunity to pay homage to him. But she would obviously not be the only one. Rey and Finn – this dear Finn that we tend to forget – would also be present. And Luke in all this? The one that seems to be the last Jedi title and we only saw a few seconds at the end of the Revival of the Force ? Well, rest assured! It would seem that our mythical Jedi will also be part of the game! On the other hand, beside this, It is not known if Kylo Ren or even the character that Benicio Del Toro plays in Star Wars 8 – and that some imagine in the role of Rey’s father – will show the tip of their nose. Of course, all this is for now a rumor and it could be that the teaser presents any other character. However, we remain hopeful. The first video of Reveil de la Force had shown Rey’s face, hidden certainly, but we had especially allowed to find Han Solo and Chewbacca as they landed in the Millennium Falcon. Nostalgic fiber to vibrate. The first teaser of Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi could, however, get faster in the heart of the matter! What would you like to see in the first teaser? With its new official title, ” The Last Jedi ” Star Wars 8 has been put at the center of our attention. It must be said that with such a name, there is enough to provoke discussions! Already because one wonders who it is here. De Luke Skywalker? De Rey? Or of Kylo Ren itself, which could also be the famous Star Wars Jedi last 8 ? Or perhaps – and this is a hypothesis that has not yet been considered – could it be someone else completely different? Well, it’s true, this last idea is pretty unlikely. However, the title ” Last Jedi ” raises another question, which itself is related to the Force. Because it could very well also … indicate the scheduled end of the Jedi order and education. In which case, yes, the title would refer to Luke (which seems to us to be the most probable hypothesis). But in this case, does that mean that, despite the former defeat of the Emperor and despite all the efforts of our hero, the Jedi are doomed to disappear ? The finding would be bitter, that’s for sure , but not necessarily catastrophic. If this is what the title implies, then what impact could this disappearance have on the galaxy but also, and especially, on the characters and intrigue of the new trilogy?
At first glance, the irremediable end of the Jedi order could seem like a real catastrophe. After all, they have watched over the galaxy for thousands of years and dispensed their wisdom through space and time. So yes, the idea of seeing them sink into oblivion again – and this time definitely – makes us a little panic! Except that in fact, if you think about it, the Jedi have not really helped the Galaxy and its inhabitants recently . They did not foresee or prevent the revolt of the Separatists, nor did they perceive the threat represented by Palpatine when he began to maneuver to overthrow the Republic. Despite their powers and sensitivity to the Force and despite their mythical dimension, the Jedi could not therefore oppose the plans of the Sith Lords. As for Luke, we admire his courage and determination, of course, but we forget a little easier than it is not him who defeated the Emperor in Return of the Jedi . Besides, our hero would have died if Darth Vader had not, in a final burst, reject the dark side of the Force to help him . So finally, the Jedi proved that they could no longer preserve peace in the galaxy, nor balance in the Force. Especially if only Luke remains and he can not train other Padawan, the future of the Jedi is rather badly engaged!
But the same can be said about the dark side and its followers. The Emperor was able to keep power for about thirty years before being overthrown, and it can be imagined that Snoke-or at least we hope so-will follow the same path. It is therefore necessary to face the facts: whether one side or the other, not to favor one pathway in the Force, in the long run, it does not work . And this is where the title of Star Wars 8 could make sense. If it is assumed that he is referring to Luke, then yes, the Jedi may be doomed to disappear entirely, Rey will follow their teachings to the end or not, Kylo Ren decides to abandon the dark side or no. This does not mean that there will be no more Force users! For, what prevents us after all to imagine that those two would be able to give birth … to a new order, which would combine the two sides of the Force ?
There is much talk about the fact that Kylo Ren is still attracted to the luminous side of the Force and that Rey, according to several theories, could ultimately succumb to the dark side. It is quite obvious that the characters remain ambivalent. Kylo Ren followed the teachings of Luke and he could redeem himself before the end of the trilogy. As for Rey, she has been abandoned as a child, and nothing tells us that she has not retained some form of bitterness and resentment. Not to mention that, having not been trained since her youngest age, she is certainly capable of the best as well as the worst. But as Melty’s copy tells you above, only following the path of the luminous side or only that of the dark side seems to lead to failure. So why could not these two characters simply kiss and use both sides of the Force, one counterbalancing the other. And finding – well! – The real balance to the Force .
Sure, Star Wars has always had a rather Manichean discourse, but the new trilogy should also correspond to our time. And come to mix with two characters at the bright side and the dark side, what is done after all human nature, might appear as a fine conclusion . Obviously, all this remains only conjecture and hypothesis, such a turnaround could take place at the very end of the trilogy, is in Star Wars 9 . But the title ” The Last Jedi ” challenges us enough for that examines the question! As always, therefore, it was not until the release of Star Wars 8 whether Luke is the last Jedi and what that might then involve Rey and the other characters of the saga! Do you think the Jedi are doomed to disappear?
The post Star Wars 8: What could the title mean for the Jedi and the dark side of the Force? first appeared on The Siver Times.

Seriously? Is that possible? “. That’s us at the time of the announcement of the start of construction of Star Wars: Rogue One . And now that the movie is released on our screens, we know that, yes, a Star Wars without Skywalker and without the Force, it is possible. And that it is even hyper cool. For Rogue One is totally different from other films of our favorite intergalactic saga but extends its universe intelligently and with a tone that we immediately conquered , even if it is darker than anything we could See until now. That heroes are ultimately ordinary people who only succeed in their mission by their courage without having the advantage of resting on the Force, only makes them more endearing. So much so that some of us would have hoped that the end of Star Wars: Rogue One is different … Except that in fact a mystical element has almost become embedded in the plot of the movie ! Imagine, the meltynautes, in a first version of the script Rogue One , a Jedi would indeed make an appearance! Attention, SPOILERS!
Well, we notify you immediately, it was not Yoda or Obi-Wan, who is still mentioned in Star Wars: Rogue One, which earned him a place alongside the best cameos of the film . No, originally, the Jedi in question that was to appear was actually linked to Jyn Erso, our heroine. And for good reason, it was his mother! Chris Weitz, the writer of Rogue One and accurately in the art book ” The Art of Rogue One: A Story Star Wars “: ” For a time, the Jedi were to be part of the background of the story, even if they Jyn’s mother was a Jedi, but we thought it would be more interesting to have a story without the Force and without a saber-laser. The despair exists because the Jedi have disappeared and with them, for some, the very memory of the Force, which meant that our story was concentrated on normal characters who resisted on their own . “.
Well, that’s sure it’s funny but we see where the writer is coming from. However, we understand why Lyra Erso ( Valene Kane ) believes it deeply into the Force – which also surprised us, the Force is considered by many as a ” lousy trick ” at the time (huh, Han ?) – and why it has in its possession a kyber crystal , they used to shape the laser-swords Jedi. Maybe even the one that Jyn’s mother would have liked to use to create her weapon, who knows … Anyway, Lyra being condemned to die quickly, she probably would not have had one Great impact on the plot of Rogue One. And she could not have helped her daughter and her companions to steal the plans of the Black Star. So in the end it may be more interesting to see her as a character who knew how to keep faith in the Force in spite of hardships and who could pass on some of her beliefs to Jyn. And there is no doubt that these help our heroine to pass through the trials that stand in her way! Would you like to see Jedi in the movie?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: A character in the movie was almost a Jedi! first appeared on The Siver Times.

The appearances of Dark Vador in Star Wars: Rogue One have conquered everyone! So much so that one wonders if the villain would not deserve his spin-off too.
There is no photo, Darth Vader is THE iconic figure par excellence of the saga Star Wars , far ahead of Luke, Yoda or even R2-D2. Already because a black man with a terrifying helmet who breathes like a bellows of forge and who is able to strangle his subordinates just with his mind, is maliciously cool and it marks. Secondly, because, casually, Darth Vader is above all a tragic figure , whose fall is told us in the prequels and whose redemption comes at a time of his death. His two appearances in brutal Rogue One, the first exciting spin-off of Star Wars comes out to the movies, they fall on already in the list of the best scenes of the saga – we shudder in yet! So, in melty, one comes to ask: Darth Vader he deserves his own spin-off? Star Wars: Rogue One has proved that one can explore events and secondary characters in the saga, to depart from its usual tone to offer something new, while massively attractive to the public. This opens the door to infinite possibilities. And they are many fans who, after seeing Rogue One , calling for a spin-off of the Dark Lord. But is the idea really good?
Star wars the return of the jedi, star wars rogue one, dark vador, spin-off, palpatine
The relationship between Palpatine and Dark Vador is only superficially evoked in the first trilogy
As stated above, Darth Vader is an icon, not just in the world of Star Wars . You may never have seen any movie of the license, you know nevertheless necessarily who it is. So yes, if we consider that this is one of the most famous villains in cinema history, Vader obviously a fascinating subject . And there would be things to tell about him! We could see the last hunt Jedi who survived Order 66 issued by Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith or observe the development of the father-son type of relationship a little unhealthy with the Emperor. Besides the Rebel Alliance existed for several years begin when Star Wars: Rogue One and A New Hope and he certainly had the opportunity to chop menu rebel before crossing the road to Leia.
In short, as the spin-off of Han Solo, the start date of filming was unveiled , a movie about Darth Vader could allow to explore the gray areas that still surround the character . And give us the opportunity to find the wicked one whom we adore! Especially since, unlike the spin-off on the youth of Han Solo, there is no need to tear his hair out to find the perfect interpreter since he would remain hidden under the imposing costume and the mask of Dark Vader. It would simply have to have the desired build and, of course, that James Earl Jones agrees to duplicate it.
However, we have to face the obvious. If Darth Vader is so popular, so remarkable is precisely because … we do not see it much . Whether in the first trilogy or Rogue One , the Sith Lord is ultimately a secondary character, powerful, terrifying and necessary to the plot certainly, but still high, the three films about the foremost Course of Luke. Moreover, the fact that Dark Vador is much more appreciated than Anakin, while it is the two facets of the same character, speaks volumes! Finally, the less the villain makes apparitions, the more intense and striking they are. So putting him in the shoes of the main character of his own film could tarnish his aura. Especially because, in the end, we did not really want to know EVERYTHING about him . The shadows and the mysteries that surround his path contribute to fuel his legend and that is also why we adore the character. Not to mention that the massacre of the rebel or the Jedi could quickly become repetitive, quickly accustoming us to the brutality of the character until it loses all flavor (no, we are not psychopaths, not at all !). Darth Vader is an almost sacred figure of the saga Star Wars and, by providing a spin-off, the studios could dent fault of their own image. Unless of course to find the perfect story, which nevertheless would not remove the risky side of such an undertaking. That said, there is no doubt that such a film would easily attract the crowds in the dark rooms! And you, would you like to see a spin-off on Dark Vader?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: Does Dark Vador deserve his own Spin Off? first appeared on The Siver Times.
