But when the life of the great figures of history is staged in a series it suddenly becomes the most addictive thing in your life and you sometimes even go to read what it really happened to try to Guess the sequel or establish theories . Well then certainly they are not going to serve you to pass your test of history at the Bac, but they are always welcome when you want to unwind after hours of revisions.
Reign
This series of the CW tells the story of Mary Stuart, queen of Scotland and temporarily queen of France, but in a funky and sexy way than in Secrets of History. Moreover, the series ended last night in the United States, we will finally be able to discover if Mary will also lose her head …
Vikings
Conquests, battles, seizures of power … It’s much more fun to follow with images and even more when it comes to bloodthirsty Vikings! And then, we were all fascinated by the character of Ragnar Lothbrok, as bad-ass as touching, who led his people with intelligence and bravery. If there was a quiz on him at the Bac, we would have easy 20/20 .
Outlander
Who would have thought that the revolution of the Jacobites in Scotland would be so exciting to follow? Thanks to the Outlander series in any case, we are downright. Maybe if our teachers resembled Sam Heughan, we’d be more attentive in class too, who knows!
The Tudors
Henry VIII of England is one of the most sulphurous monarchs in history and the series The Tudors is obviously in his image, thus A-DO-RE! Between betrayals, forbidden romances, battles for power … We do not miss a second before the series and, most, is that we do not need to remember dates.
The Crown
Much less sulfur than others, The Crown is nevertheless exciting to follow, especially because it is more contemporary and it is like discovering the greatest secrets of the Queen of England. Moreover, we are already looking forward with great impatience to season 2 which should arrive on Netflix in November 2017 .
These five series are by no means the only ones interested in different periods of history and there really is something for everyone, from Versailles to Downton Abbey , Mad Men, The Americans and The Borgias . Yes, often they take freedoms with the reality of the facts but it is only to make it more interesting, and they can always make you change your mind about history. What are your favorite historical series?
The post You listened to that slab in the course of history but you kiffes these series from real facts first appeared on The Siver Times.

While waiting to know when the series will return, let’s back on 5 key moments of the season 4 of Vikings!
Highlights! While we were wondering when Vikings season 5 would start , on the American cable channel History , it’s time to go back with the 5 key moments we were offered to see in the latest episode.
THE BOND IN TIME
We had not seen him coming, yet the final midseason ended in an impressive leap in time. This one is of capital importance in the second half of season 4 of Vikings since the cards are redistributed. Ragnar lost his prestige, Bjorn rose as the true leader of Kattegat, governed by an Aslaug carried on the drink. He also allowed us to get acquainted with the four sons of Ragnar so each one presents a facet of the personality of their father. This leap in time has changed the course of the series’s history and we just regret not having had an episode focusing on Ragnar’s experience during the past lapse of time .
LAGERTHA TAKES POWER ON KATTEGAT
Although we may wonder why she waited so long to take action, Lagertha finally takes power over Kattegat, killing Aslaug in passing. Her revenge is accomplished and she finally has what she believes to be her own. This takeover had consequences on our perception of Lagertha, but also on the Viking city since it has great ambitions for Kattegat. It puts in place the construction of defensive fortifications and these new stakes evidently bring about new confrontations. During this half-season, Kattegat has gone from being a simple village to a central character and we expect major events to take place there.
THE FIRST APPARITION OF HEAHMUND
The first scene where we discover the character played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, on which we told you more and which will be at the heart of season 5 of Vikings , is not transcendent and does not teach us much, if it Is that this religious has an impressive sword and that he does not respect his vow of chastity. However, we know that Heahmund will deliver impressive fights against our warriors and that he will be their main enemy in the next episodes . We strongly urge him to take action.
THE DEPARTURE OF FLOKI
This event only takes place in the final season, but it is important for the future. Indeed, it is a journey of a new kind that will be offered to the character, an initiatory journey where he will be carried by the waters to an unknown destination. Thanks to Floki, we should meet new peoples, new cultures and new religions . Before finding our warriors, Floki must find peace and this path promises great moments.
THE DEATH OF RAGNAR
There have been many deaths throughout the season and all are important, nevertheless that of Ragnar is major since it marks the end of an era. We knew it would happen sooner or later, but we did not expect it at that time, not half the second half of the season. Although incredibly well directed and almost poetic, the death of Ragnar was a difficult time . His body was not found by his sons, the actor assures him that he will not return, but we always hope to see his spirit, beyond his voice that often resonated after his death. Ragnar is dead, but he remains the hero of Vikings through his most beautiful legacy: his sons! What are your 5 key moments?
The post Vikings season 4: Back on 5 key moments! first appeared on The Siver Times.

While we have just discovered a first video promo for season 5 of Vikings, here are the 5 things to remember!
That promises to be heavy! While we were wondering when would be broadcast season 5 of Vikings , the US channel History offers us to discover a first trailer that we learn a lot about what future episodes will offer us and offer us some revelations expected. Here are 5 things to remember about the first pictures of the next season:
TORVI
The first of these concerns Torvi. The last time we saw her, we might have thought she had died during the attack on Kattegat. Obviously, this is not the case and Bjorn’s wife will always be one of the faithful warriors of Lagertha in the next episodes. It should certainly end up in the middle of a love triangle if Bjorn continues his affair with Astrid.
LAGERTHA / UBBE
We had already perceived the trouble of the queen of Kattegat against Ubbe, whose physical reminds him enormously young Ragnar. A memory that could make her reproach him, so similar to the only man she has ever loved. In the promo video, we discover them very close, as if they were plotting together. Are we going to their budding love or Ubbe will he ally with Lagertha to avenge the death of Sigurd by attacking Ivar?
HARALD
As we know, Harald’s ambition is to put all of Norway at his feet. We have every reason to believe that he is the one who ordered the attack on Kattegat, led by Egil. Now it remains to see how he will gain more power and if he will eventually do harm to our heroes. The one who has always been an ally of Kattegat, not without hiding his own ambitions, could he become one of the main rivals of Bjorn and Ivar? We have every reason to believe in the sovereign sit seeing in the trailer, and imagine that it is splitting that will create that will lead to the decline of the Viking empire!
WRATH OF THE GODS
Religion may be more important than ever in Vikings season 5! So far, we have had stories involving religion and others involving battles. In view of the trailer, we have every reason to believe that these two subjects will be one with the emergence of the character of Heahmund. This religious warrior, member of a faction precursor of the Order of the Knights Templar, will attack our heroes. We see, violence should go up a notch, the blood flowing in the dead be many and our heroes be in great danger!
THE BEGINNING OF THE END
Finally, we have a disturbing statement by the light: next season will be the beginning of the end! With the death of Ragnar, we knew that the series would be enormously interested in his son Ivar, another Viking legend. Ragnar’s story has occupied 45 episodes of the series, so we can hope that it will be the same for Ivar, which would lead us to a season 6. Waiting to know if we saw right, while treating Of the rise of the son of Ragnar, it is the decline of the empire vikings that will be question! The end has never been so close. Should we prepare ourselves to say goodbye to these warriors of another age? Between shooting, intrigues, spoilers … we told you everything we knew about the next episodes of season 5 of Vikings! What were the moments that marked you in the trailer of season 5?
The post Vikings season 5: 5 things to remember from the promo video! first appeared on The Siver Times.
