Fear The Walking Dead, Orange Is the New Black, Reign: Our Top Series of June 2017

So, between Fear The Walking Dead, Orange Is the New Black and many others, who will be number 1 ?!
Although it is June and most of the series are in summer hiatus since May, the month has been well rhythmic since several series have bowed, while others have begun . Like what, even the summer period is now rich in series and especially in series of quality. For example, we had to say goodbye to Reign, Pretty Little Liars or The Leftovers , while Orphan Black pointed his nose to begin his final season . We invite you of course to share with us which series have marked your month of June and without waiting you are offered our ranking:
9 – Pretty Little Liars
It’s hard not to make a small place in Pretty Little Liars in our June Top Series as the series offered us its latest episode three days ago. When one was disappointed or conquered by the last revelations and the end offered to the characters, one can not deny that this marks the end of an era and that this series will certainly leave a mark in the television world – Is to make fun of it. -A is officially retired and know that you can find our critic of episode 20 of season 7 of Pretty Little Liars , on melty.
8 – The Originals
After a season a little below what we are used to see for The Originals , we must admit to have enjoyed enough the season finale of season 4 who preferred to play the card of emotion rather than that of The action . 7 – Reign
After four seasons of royal intrigues, conspiracies and betrayals, it was necessary to say goodbye to Reign since the series unfortunately was not renewed for a season 5 by the CW. If we can reproach this final season for having a little too much accelerated the intrigues to tell a maximum of the life of Mary Stuart, it is still with emotions that we watched the last episode. Reign is a real guilty pleasure that brought us our dose of madness every week with all the same strong and powerful female characters . One thing is for sure, the Laurie McCarthy series will be missed and the Adelaide Kane game too!
6 – Orphan Black
For his final season, Orphan Black offers us episodes that are always more captivating and full of mysteries. Sarah Manning and her clones are always looking for answers on their origins at the risk of sometimes having to sacrifice themselves . Despite a certain sadness at the approach of the very end of the series, it is confessed to you that it would have been difficult to imagine Orphan Black continue for several more seasons. In any case it deserves its place in our Top Series!
5 – GLOW
This month, Netflix has launched a new series called GLOW, including Alison Brie (Community) and Betty Gilpin (Masters of Sex) , who is interested in women’s wrestling. An original and unusual subject in the world of TV series that is treated with humor and emotions . If the season is a bit short – only 10 episodes of about thirty minutes – to allow the characters to be explored in depth, GLOW has enjoyed us with its little kitsch side of the 80s and its diverse and varied female characters.
4 – Fear The Walking Dead
Fear The Walking Dead deserves its place in our Top Series of the month with a season 3 that starts off very well. The season premiere double proved that the series could take risks by killing Travis Manawa and she went on to propose a whole episode in Spanish focused on Daniel Salazar . Risky take-overs that reboost the series well, not to mention the new characters that, so far, continue to arouse our interest. In short, sympathetic episodes that make us look forward to seeing the continuation.
3 – The Leftovers
The surrealist series by Damon Lindelof, The Leftovers , offered us a last season full of poetry and questioning. The Leftovers always succeed in transporting us thanks to surprising intrigues and incredible performances from the actors. Where the end of Lost still unleashes passions and still rages a large majority of the fans of the series, The Leftovers has agreed everyone proposing a beautiful end, full of hope and somehow Of the response elements without actually proposing them. The Leftovers has always been able to present complicated intrigues to us with simplicity and its final is exactly to this image . A real masterpiece.
2 – The Handmaid’s Tale
As already mentioned , The Handmaid’s Tale is for us the best novelty of the year 2017, for the moment and it ended in apotheosis with moments always more disturbing and glacier . But also by the beginning of the rebellion of the Handmaids and mainly of Offred, although we do not yet know what all this will lead and if the heroine has just signed his death warrant. Fortunately, the series has already been renewed for a season 2 by Hulu and although we will surely wait a year before we know the rest, we will not remain on this open end.
1 – Orange Is the New Black
This year, Orange Is the New Black took on a real challenge, concentrating the plot of its thirteen episodes on just three days, and she raised it up! Always as fun and crazy while offering serious intrigues that sometimes denounce certain injustices or problems of society, the season of Orange Is the New Black totally captivated us. The Litchfield Inmate Rebellion will come with its consequences in the coming season, but it will have allowed us to learn more about some of the characters and pay tribute to Poussey Washington. Reign Season 4: A Successful Chapter? Our record of the ultimate season

Was Reign’s season 4, which ended on June 16, been up to the finish line?
Ten days ago we had to say goodbye to Mary Stuart and the Reign series since it was not renewed for a fifth season. Then did the last chapter of the life of the Queen of Scotland convince us? Well, it must be said that our feeling is mixed with Reign season 4 , as with every season, there is good and not so good . In the worst case, we will note the intrigue which takes place at the court of France . Since Mary left France, we are not going to lie, we do not have much to do with what happens there. We adore the character of Catherine De Medicis, it is unfortunately not enough to make the whole interesting.
Fortunately, we did have the visit of Catherine in Scotland who finally put the character forward as it deserves. Megan Follows and Adelaide Kane are both very good actresses and they work really well together . Too bad his passage was only of very short duration, for it was a real pleasure to see them plot together again. Another point that was embarrassing, especially when you know Marie Stuart’s story quite well, is that you really feel that the plot was accelerated in order to slide the highlights of his life after his Return to Scotland: his second marriage, the death of Rizzio, Bothwell, the birth of his son, his death … Obviously, We suspect that the writers did not really have the choice on learning that the series was not going to get fifth season and it was then necessary to condense years of history in 16 episodes. It feels all the more in the final series where everything is linked very quickly. Too bad the series did not have more time to properly develop its intrigues.
Otherwise, we are still fans of the character of Mary who still shows himself as a strong woman who will not yield to the pressure of men. The feminist discourse is always present in the series and carried brilliantly mainly by Mary and Elizabeth, the two queens who are forced to hate themselves lest men steal their thrones from them . They both take the problems with their arms and do not shrink from any challenge and it is important to show strong women like them on the screen. In the end, we still really enjoyed following this last season, despite the lengths and our disinterestedness of the French plot, because the series always manages to entertain us and this remains its main goal. We laughed, we cried, We were shocked and amazed and we know that Reign will miss us next year. Star Wars The Last Jedi: The end of the postproduction announced, a trailer for soon?

Thanks to Rian Johnson, we know when the post-production period for Star Wars: The Last Jedi will end. Good news, it will be well upstream of its release in theaters!
And now, slowly but surely, we reached the middle of 2017. And so, the coming arrival to the cinema of Episode VIII is gradually approaching. Moreover, we, French fans, will clearly have a small advantage over our neighbors across the Atlantic and across the Channel, since we will have the opportunity to discover Star Wars: The Last Jedi before everyone else . But while waiting for this blessed day (December 13, remember the date!), The film is not finished yet. If the shooting has been finished for some time, Rian Johnson and his editors have plunged into post-production and plan to spend a few more weeks. However, the director and his collaborators should put an end to Star Wars: The Last Jedi well before its release. In the end, if this announcement is not a news worthy to sabrer champagne, it still gives us some small reasons to rejoice. We can indeed imagine that the TRUE promotional campaign will start in the next few weeks, only the recent teaser trailer of Star Wars.
The next trailer itself should land a little before the end of the post-production, probably during the month of July. It was not only during this period that the long awaited D23 , a convention held every two years and during which the Disney studios presented their future projects, but also the famous Comic Con of San Diego, would be held the following week. Two golden opportunities so to unveil the second trailer of the film . Unless, of course, the studios make us sip a little longer, just to make our impatience grow. And that’s not at all excluded! That’s it, season 5 of Orange Is the New Black is finally available on Netflix, and in its entirety!
Orange is the New Black is back! After one year of waiting, it is finally time to discover what will happen in the prison of Litchfield after the tragic death of Poussey (Samira Wiley). And most of all to see if Daya is going to hit the trigger and shoot Humphrey. The season 5 of Orange Is the New Black is available since this morning 9h on Netflix, with 13 new episodes that promise to make us laugh and cry . At least, if you did not know what to do with your weekend, here is an activity found: binge-watcher Orange Is the New Black ! The plot will resume exactly where we left off and then we should have the answers to our questions fairly quickly.
The big change of this season is that the intrigues will only extend for 3 days in the universe of the series, telling then the movement of revolt of the inmates . This is news that should reassure us! Joss Whedon was already working on Justice League long before Zack Snyder left the project and asked him to replace him.
