It is partly to this question – one imagines – that will endeavor to answer his suite, Blade Runner 2049 , directed by the director Denis Villeneuve. But to bring new blood, it is the investigation of a brand new character that we will follow. K, is the name of the main hero of the film, interpreted by Ryan Gosling, who is still particularly mysterious. We do not know much about him, except that he is a Blade Runner as Deckard was before him and that he is looking for him. For in one of his investigations, he would have found elements that brought him directly back to his predecessor. And other than that, well, that is just about everything ! Indeed, his very name is part of the mystery that surrounds him, the character of Ryan Gosling almost having no air of having an identity of his own. And it’s clearly not the latest intriguing trailer of Blade Runner 2049 that has taught us more about him, quite the opposite! In fact, this new trailer has only raised a little more question about this hero in the guise of detective of black film but evolving in a futuristic world. So suddenly, the editing of melty asks the question: who is really K ? And it’s clearly not the latest intriguing trailer of Blade Runner 2049 that has taught us more about him, quite the opposite! In fact, this new trailer has only raised a little more question about this hero in the guise of detective of black film but evolving in a futuristic world. So suddenly, the editing of melty asks the question: who is really K ? And it’s clearly not the latest intriguing trailer of Blade Runner 2049 that has taught us more about him, quite the opposite! In fact, this new trailer has only raised a little more question about this hero in the guise of detective of black film but evolving in a futuristic world. So suddenly, the editing of melty asks the question: who is really K ?
The trailer of Blade Runner 2049 is indeed very miserly in information and clues. But some of his scenes and some of his aftershocks obviously let us think that K is not a cop of the future like the others. First there is this confrontation between Rick Deckard and himself, in which he tells his elder to have questions to ask him. And it must be believed that he was involved in something dangerous since it is clearly sought, Deckard specifying that “they are there ” … before everything explodes. Who are these ” they “? The antagonists of the film, more than likely. But it remains to be seen why they hunt K, which apparently appears to interest Wallace a lot, The Replicant maker played by Jared Leto (the villain himself?). However, what most intrigues us is of course this conversation that takes place at the end of the trailer between K and Joi , the young woman incarnated by Ana de Armas, who tells her: ” I tell you You are exceptional . ” His comments have also resulted to arouse a rather peculiar term – but indecipherable – on the face of K, before she continues by saying, ” Your story is not over remains a page. .” . But then, how is K special? It is of course this conversation that takes place at the end of the trailer between K and Joi , the young woman incarnated by Ana de Armas, who declares to him: ” I told you always, you are exceptional . His comments have also resulted to arouse a rather peculiar term – but indecipherable – on the face of K, before she continues by saying, ” Your story is not over remains a page. .” . But then, how is K special? It is of course this conversation that takes place at the end of the trailer between K and Joi , the young woman incarnated by Ana de Armas, who declares to him: ” I told you always, you are exceptional . His comments have also resulted to arouse a rather peculiar term – but indecipherable – on the face of K, before she continues by saying, ” Your story is not over remains a page. .” . His comments have also resulted to arouse a rather peculiar term – but indecipherable – on the face of K, before she continues by saying, ” Your story is not over remains a page. .” . But then, how is K special?
And there, one necessarily thinks that there is a good chance that, just as one always suspected for Deckard, K is in fact … a Replicant . But not a Replicant like the others, no more than a Replicant like Rick Deckard could be! Already because it would replay on the schemes of the first film, which would not frankly interest. Then because it is simply a new character who must therefore have its own origins and motivations. So, yes, K might not be a human and rather be part of the androids, while representing a whole new form of Replicant. Especially since we are not too sure of the identity of the person who crosses the wall behind Deckard as he runs ahead – and so could be K.
But in fact, this is not the only possible hypothesis. For Robin Wright’s words about wall and warfare between species could also be another clue to the nature of K. And if this was the key precisely to break down the barriers between human beings and The Replicants? So what, K could be half human, half replicating, thus combining the characteristics of the two groups? If it seems like a hair – pull, it would also explain why the character of Ryan Gosling is so special … It is of course only speculation and it will be necessary to wait for many months before having the last word of the ” History! What is certain is that for now we do not know much about this famous Blade Runner 2049 .
The post Blade Runner 2049: Who is K (Ryan Gosling)? first appeared on The Siver Times.

But if a first trailer and some photos were unveiled, it is clear that they do everything to hide the plot of the film and we do not know much about Blade Runner 2049 in the end . It is only if we know that Ryan Gosling will incarnate a certain officer K. Planned for October 4, 2017, one even comes to wonder if they will give us other clues before, or leave us in complete darkness Until the film’s release in theaters. In short, we are clearly frustrated. But we also decided not to let ourselves be defeated and if we can not learn more about Blade Runner 2049 , why not enrich his culture on the original film? This is what Melty’s editorial offers you by discovering 5 things that you probably do not know about Ridley Scott’s film!
1) Harrison Ford was not the first choice for Rick Deckard
At the very beginning of the project, Ridley Scott had planned the role of Rick Deckard for Dustin Hoffman . The actor even worked several months on the project, before leaving the ship following discrepancies on the character’s psychology and “a story of sub” . Eventually, Harrison Ford will inherit the role, and it is now difficult to imagine the replicant “hunter” as someone else.
2) Blade Runner almost had a completely different title
Before calling himself Blade Runner , the film went through several different names. At the very beginning, in particular, it was codenamed “Mechanismo and Dangerous Days” . Not really fun, you get it. Then Ridley Scott found the world of Batman sticking to the atmosphere of the movie, so he had a long time for the film to be called “Gotham City . ” Yes, you heard right. Unfortunately, Bob Kane, the creator of Batman, did not want to give him the rights and the director finally decided to opt for “Blade Runner” , in tribute to a novel by Alan E. Nourse.
3) The original atmosphere had nothing to do with that of the film at its release
Taken from a book by Philip K. Dick entitled “Androids Dream of Electric Sheep , ” the plot was originally scheduled to take place in 1992 in a Los Angeles plunged into a glacial age. But on a small budget, the film team could not carry the scenery to the north of the US and had to slightly change the atmosphere, from snowy landscapes to an underground, polluted, dirty and retro-futuristic Los Angeles.
4) The Star Wars Cameo that you surely missed
In the scene where Rick Deckard is carried aboard his Spinner at the Central Police, a familiar vessel is seen in the background. Normal, it is actually the Millennium Falcon , the Han Solo ship in the Star Wars saga ! An Easter Egg rather amusing when we know that Rick Deckard and Han Solo are both embodied by Harrison Ford. Perhaps it will be found in Blade Runner 2049, whose new photos were unveiled?
5) What does the first scene of the film mean?
It is on a close-up of a frozen eye in which the reflection of a flame crackles that opens Blade Runner. But what does that mean? Asked about the question, Ridley Scott explained that this eye was none other than an “Orwellian metaphor of Big Brother” , or how our society is moving towards a totalitarian state, controlled by an oligarchy of brands. A little fucked by the hair, is not it? So, did you know all that?
The post Blade Runner 2049: 5 things you did not know about the original movie first appeared on The Siver Times.

As you know, Rick Deckard, incarnated by Harrison Ford, will make his big comeback in Blade Runner 2049. But what could be his role in the film?
Fans of futuristic universes or travels in space will be served! Since 2017, with the coming to movie Blade Runner 2049, Alien: Covenant or Star Wars: The Last Jedi, clearly puts science fiction honored . Not to mention that these three films continue and enrich the history of extremely popular franchises and are now part of the cinema classics! But if Star Wars: The Last Jedi has much to be exciting, and if Alien: Covenant promises to give us some chills, Blade Runner in 2049 is still one of the feature films that intrigue us perhaps more. Already because he landed more than thirty years after the first Blade Runner . Then, because one really does not know much about his plot. Hardly can it be said that Officer K, incarnated by Ryan Gosling, will represent the main character of the film and will (apparently) be in pursuit of Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), the hero of the original Blade Runner. And seen the trailer of Blade Runner 2049, it seems that the last decades were not very lenient with Deckard. So, in melty, one wonders: what could ultimately be the role of Harrison Ford in Blade Runner in 2049 ?
The end of Blade Runner left us with a question to which we have yet never got a response: Deckard a Replicant is it? If for Ridley Scott, director of the film, it is obvious that the problem does not even arise and that, yes, his hero is indeed an android, this has never been proved. Or Denis Villeneuve, who heads the Blade Runner in 2049 , we did indeed assured he would explore the matter and that we offer – FINALLY – a satisfactory answer. As a result, it turns out that it will reveal to us that Deckard is indeed a Replicant, a Replicant of another kind and capable of functioning for decades. If that is the case, then we can imagine that the officer K, which is also a Blade Runner, is actually looking for Deckard to bring it to the authorities . Or to the ” disconnect ” since that is the mission of the Blade Runners.
But we can also formulate another hypothesis, a little more gratifying for the character of Harrison Ford. For who tells us that K is not looking for Deckard to ask him for advice? It could indeed that the same events that occurred in Blade Runner breed thirty years later. And in this case, the K officer could simply for the purposes of its investigation, attempt to contact Deckard to solve the problem . After all, the story of Blade Runner in 2049 does not tell us much about the famous secret that K discovers within its business. Anyway, if K is the main character of the film, then we can already make a reason for it: Deckard may well have only a secondary role. Maybe he will be a little Luke Skywalker of Star Wars: The Force Alarm , namely a figure somewhat mythical need to find. Unless of course he takes the role of Han Solo in the same film and serves as a mentor to Officer K. However, this one looks already well trained so we do not see what Rick Deckard could teach him. Anyway, we hope that Blade Runner 2049, which will retain the same tone as the original movie , beautiful way mark the return of Deckard! In your opinion, what will be the role of Harrison Ford?
The post Blade Runner 2049: What role for Harrison Ford (Rick Deckard)? first appeared on The Siver Times.
