Recently, Katherine Waterston is enormously noted in the movies. Yet the British actress began her career in 2006 in a short film by Bryce Dallas Howard, who will be more badass in Jurassic World 2 . But with films like Steve Jobs or Inherent Vice , the young woman had a new visibility making her the star to follow in the coming years . A poster of Alien Covenant in 2017 and Fantastic Beasts in 2018, everything seems to smile one that will continue – hopefully – to chain roles until you find one that will make her an Oscar winner. Succeeding Sigourney Weaver, who epitomized Ripley in the original quadrilogy, there are rumors of a relationship between Ripley and Katherine Waterston. With this new horror film, the actress will explore a new genre based on fear and confront a mythical monster movie: The Xenomorph. Not to mention that the director of this sequel is none other than Ridley Scott, the man behind Eighth Passenger who gave birth to the famous Alien license. Alien Covenant: What links with Prometheus?

Alien Covenant will be the occasion for Ridley Scott to expand the universe of this franchise existing since 79. But what links will the film have with Prometheus?

Ridley Scott has created a film in 1979 monument alongside HR Giger: the Xenomorph from Eighth Passenger . Therefore, the monster appeared in numerous films as Aliens, Alien³ or Alien Resurrection . At the exit of Prometheus in 2012, many fans hoped to see the creature in this new production of Ridley Scott set in the same universe as the Alien films. Only then, the film has preferred to develop new monsters, one of which explains the origins of the Xenomorph. The disappointment was huge among many aficionados of the franchise but with Alien Convenant , the filmmaker hopes to catch up. By using the term “Alien” in the title, while linking the film Prometheus , Ridley Scott intends to create many links between the two .
That the first teaser of scary alien Covenant seems to confirm is the return of the character played by Michael Fassbender. A character being actually be an Android and will no doubt different in Alien Covenant since several models with similar appearance seem to exist . In Prometheus , the robot wanted to discover the secret of immortality to heal the director of Weyland, Peter Weyland, expedition organizer. In Alien Convenant , there likely that its goal will be to study more closely the anhedral . If this goal is that of Android, impossible not to link to that present in The Eighth Passenger who shared the same purpose. It is also worth noting that Elizabeth Shaw heroine of Prometheus , will be well represented in his absence in the teaser …
Prometheus and Alien Covenant also seem to share a similar aesthetic, even if the first returns around it suggests that it will be more generous in hemoglobin.
