Flagrant dumpling for directors who have torn on details. What to make hallucinate the (real) scientists and give you the opportunity to shine a little.

If you like to make the guy who shoots and get out of “Did you know”, it’s ideal. Basically, we all know that science fiction films do not 100% respect the scientific foundations, that they sort out a little with reality to give us full eyes. Meanwhile, you can still say that you are not fooled and recall the facts. And if it allows you to impress buddies or a target in passing, bah much better.
Star Trek: Into darkness
No need to turn around the pot for chandeliers. We see the ships break their mouths at a brisk pace, it’s spectacular. Except that given the distance from the earth, the fall should be much slower .
2001 the odyssey of space
Rather well done, Kubrick’s film has nonetheless neglected certain aspects. First thing: because of the proximity between the ship and the moon, the latter should be much larger . Second gap: the guy who makes his jogging tranquillou. Normally it should be propelled against the walls.
Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi
To increase the dramatic intensity, you are made to believe that if the guys lose their helmet, they die directly. Gender, if there is a stupid accident, a debris that breaks the glass in Carglass mode (of the size “of a coin of 2 € and craaaac …”), or a guy too relaxing who wants to put his helmet to smoke a cigarette. Absolutely , he could, his skull would not explode instantly as we are led to believe .
The guardians of the galaxy
The guy who holds his breath, normal, to keep the oxygen that remains to him and manage a return in the ship. Mouai. Already, not breathing remains rather difficult, even if you have to wait and find a new source of oxygen. After 15 seconds, he should have fallen into the vapes . And aaaaa admit that he is there, it would be damn bad when he arrives in the ship. Gender critical condition and probable death within the next few minutes.
Interstelllar
We all kiffé this film that put us a slap. Another film by Christopher Nolan that shakes you up and makes you think. And a Matthew McConaughay more and more impressive. But, because there is always a but, we still have to take note of the small defects. When Cooper gets sucked into the black hole, the logical end would be that it turns into spaghetti . Because the black hole of a stellar mass can affect the water and make it a huge wave, Cooper’s little body, let me say it does not make the weight.
Other delirium where they touch a little: when Cooper has the idea of using the black hole to gain speed, ok, but how to slow down after, for a safe landing? Remember The Hate Guys.
The Treasure Planet
Animated film sympa, still a Disney of good invoice as one could say between experts in cinema. With the pipe, the blazer and all the mess. Small criticism : to make believe to the kids that a boat can come out of a black hole by operating all the reactors, it’s not nice . A plane, maybe. A boat, no.
Gravity
Well, that’s a classic that applies to all movies that take place in space, to tell the truth. You hear George What Else Clooney type the talk, explosions, clashes … Except that in space there is no air. No atmosphere. So no sound, no noise .
Star Wars (all, mix)
Same in Star Wars when you see the Black Star exploding and making a sound of egg. Bah no, still no sound. And the same conclusion for laser battons . We agree, it’s a shame, it would be con not to hear this noise. Now that we’ve got used to it and we want to do it, we can not go back.
Let’s talk about the ships now. The chase-pursuits and maneuvers are eggs, it’s so beautiful! But we always come back to the same problem: there is no air in space. So no resistance, and no help to direct the ships . They would need reactors everywhere to change the direction of movement. As well as a way to slow down!
The fifth element
When Corben gets stretched out, to save his buttocks from a very fat explosion, and all is false. Already because there is no oxygen in space. This means there would be no combustion. So no fire, no flames, no explosion . The stuff would disintegrate, yes, but in the biggest calm. Finally, save the debris that would fall on the mouth of Corben, which is not supposed to go faster than objects falling without resistance.
Superman (1978)
Traveling in space takes months, years. For example, to reach Pluto of the Earth, it takes nine and a half years. So when Superman lands, he should be much older . There he is still a kid, rather unlikely seen where he comes from! Unless it has gone through a hole or travel faster than light …
Alone on Mars
The fact that there are storms on Mars is well and truly authentic. But they do not reach the same speeds as here. A maximum of 96 km / h. Nothing crazy, able to snatch everything like in the film . Another detail: the gravity is 62% lower than that on Earth, so our approach would be different.
Mars Attacks
Last delirium to emphasize, although it is known and that it will not allow you to flame! You should even pass for a con to say it seriously, so avoid. We do not know if extraterrestrials exist. On Mars, or elsewhere. Water yes, since there is a north and south pole covered with ice. But beings, no. We’ll see. Who will try a bluff to shine?
The post Some scientific anecdotes to go out to make the expert during these films first appeared on The Siver Times.

Nothing better than watching lilliputiens for 2h to forget that you galley to reach the top of your cupboards. And reboost your confidence.
It is not size that counts, it seems. Nevertheless, people continue to win you, it is obligatory. And that the moments when the situation reverses are rare! Dog of life. So here’s a way to take a step back and de-dramatize: watch movies with lilliputiens.
Gulliver Travels
The novel by Jonathan Swift (1721) inspired a pack of filmmakers for almost three centuries. Georges Méliès drew a short film in 1903, films were released in 1939 and 1960, before the last opus with Jack Black, Emily Blunt and Jason Segel in 2011. In the book, we see the writer Lemuel Gulliver, The hidden island of Lilliput, in the Bermuda triangle . And there, all the inhabitants are tiny! Suddenly, friend Gulliver becomes a giant. Like what, everything is relative. An unpretentious comedy that does good (no, we will not say to whom, no name).
Willow
Co-written and produced by George Lucas, the film was directed by Ron Howard with mass of special effects, a feat at the time and a real leap forward in the matter. Despite two Oscar nominations, Willow was not as successful as that. The pitch: an evil queen, Baymorda, reigns quiet until the day when a prophecy announces the birth of a princess, a sort of elected who will change everything . Which is called Elora (and not Enora, thank you). I tell you not everything, just that it is born and is recovered by a farmer named Willow (ah voila), who happens to be an amateur magician and tiny size. Magic, fairy, and all the brothel of fantasy, it’s not bad.
The Wild Planet
A little more than an hour of entertainment where you leave far. Science fiction, clearly. Some even say that you must see him in a bad state, good, not to push either but each his kiff. Basically, on the planet Ygam, the Draags live cushy, they are super intelligent giants. And their kids play with tiny animals, the Oms . Then one day, a “tame” OMS whose intellect was developed by a draag escapes. The desires and hopes of the Oms change, the balance put in peril. By the way: it was realized by a Frenchman (René Laloux), in 1973.
Ant-Man
Based on characters invented by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Larry Lieber, the film by Adam McKay and Paul Rudd scales the adventures of Scott Lang, aka Ant -Man. Capable of shrinking while increasing his strength, he must assume his power and help Dr. Henry Pym, mainly protect the costume of Ant-Man. Action, special effects, rhythm, you do not shit. As long as you love these films, of course.
The Inner Adventure
It’s better to see him when you’re a kid but hey, why not. A US Navy lieutenant devotes himself to a risky experience: get miniaturized and explore the body of a rabbit . Yeah, know why. Tuck Pendleton, the scientist saved Tuck Pendleton in the body of a supermarket clerk, Jack Putter. And there, Tuck must communicate with Jack as his oxygen supply decreases.
Charlie and the chocolate factory
A very popular Anglo-Saxon story since the release of Roald Dahl’s 1964 novel. Two film adaptations were made, including that of Tim Burton in 2005. Charlie, a very poor family, loves chocolate and The reference chocolate factory named Wonka , right next door. One day he was lucky enough to get his hands on the fifth and last gold note contained in a branded product, giving the right to a factory visit. Where are the Oompa Loompa, the people of Lilliputians who make chocolate.
Honey, I shrunk the kids
You have almost everything in the title, you know what. To clarify a little anyway: Wayne Szalinski is an original scientist, who tinkers with him and tries stuff. Including a machine to miniaturize the objects, well hidden away from his wife and his two kids, to avoid a dumpling. Of course, Amy and Nick will eventually climb and get shrunk by the machine, with the two neighbor’s kids . The four are found in the garden, in crazy jungle mode. Released in 1989, this Disney had its success with children. Remember who?
The post Movies to watch to feel great, very large first appeared on The Siver Times.

The project would be (already) under discussion, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and the opinions are negative. Too early, not necessary, risky … And if we made a series rather than a film?
It is not too late to change your mind, choose the appropriate form and put as much emphasis as possible on the bottom. The material is there, it is enough simply to use it as well as possible. And frankly, making a series seems pretty bad! Finally, it could calm down all those who are rather annoyed at the moment, seeing this project reboot in film as a shit announced, especially without the Wachowski to the controller, without the historical producer Joel Silver, nor a single cast member original. Come on, here are some ideas. That Warner can use, before officially confirm any project.
The films do not concentrate enough on the matrix
You can not do everything or satisfy everyone. Nor even all the desires. However, given the potential to be exploited behind the existence of the matrix, it would be possible to place more emphasis on it. For we human beings like to reflect on the illusion of reality, the backdrop behind our world and our universe . Much more than just looking (and appreciating, nevertheless) bastons or other purely human inter-personal problems. The will to be surprised, disturbed, to dig …
The possibility of developing several intrigues in parallel
Do not let us sulk our pleasure, follow the steps of Neo remains stylish. The stroke of the Messiah who comes to save humans is nothing new but when it is done well, we can be carried away. But if there were only that, a series of seasons would probably be boring. And there’s no risk! We could also include a slew of other things : a sort of prequel about the revolution, how it was built, how the machines had taken power, the path of Morpheus, why it and not another …
The indispensable villain is indeed present
It is a secret boot not so secret: it requires antagonism to create public interest. That he tries to understand why, that he feels things (empathy, compassion, disgust, fright …), that he identifies the values of the characters … And in Matrix, Agent Smith is an ideal opponent . Coriace, obsessed, wicked, heartless, he does not let go Neo and the others. Above all, he does not remain in his office to build plans; He goes to the field and wants to solve the problems. In person. Wet the shirt.
A smaller budget for more real actions
The first film had brought back the technique of the bullet time and delivered some magnificent fights. Then the second and third opus saw their budget doubled, which was not a good thing. Because the producers were made plaiz ‘and multiply the special effects based on computers and machines, we sweet to pass the scenes of fight to human dimension, stylish. An error (except the passage with the hundreds of Agent Smith, which is kept). A return to more human action scenes, worked, choreographed , would be welcome . More than slamming millions, it is a matter of spending them well. So hot for a series or not?
The post Thinking about it a bit, the possible reboot Matrix seems more sympatoch in series than film first appeared on The Siver Times.

Fortunately, fans can wait for information about the 1982 cult film directed by Ridley Scott and here by Denis Villeneuve. To begin with, the latter decided to focus on artisanal special effects . In an interview for Variety , the man said: “It’s great for me, I can tell you that I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of green bottoms used during these shorter shoots !”
Blade runner 2049, ryan gosling, harrison ford, denis villeneuve, blade runner, news, rumors, sf, science fiction
What is known about Blade Runner 2049?
Denis Villeneuve also added “Of course, there will be CGIs, but we have tried to limit them. I am someone old enough, I wanted to do my aliens in animatronics .” Blade Runner 2049, of which Dave Bautista has teased a very cool role , thus risks to propose a very interesting visual universe. With Denis Villeneuve at the helm, the film can only be good. But then what will this long-awaited sequel tell ? On this side, the filmmaker is rather discreet but explains that “the first film had a polar side, very black, very melancholic, the themes evoked were those of the existential crisis .. Blade Runner 2049 is not far from these subjects , We tried to keep the same atmosphere … ”
The characters of Blade Runner 2049, which revealed 9 unpublished photos , are also likely to be numerous. To the delight of the fans of the first opus, Harrison Ford will resume its cult role which helped to make it known all over the world (with Indiana Jones and Star Wars ). Ryan Gosling, who currently plays in LaLaLand , will hold the top spot, confirming that he is one of the best actors of our generation. Lennie James, known for his role in The Walking Dead, has nothing to say about his character and teased a filming more secret than that of the series ! Only Bautista was generous “It’s a very cool role, But I think the film itself is going to be huge, a bit like The Guardians (…). This is not the same excitement because people waited 30 years for the sequel to Blade Runner, the anticipation is very great . ” Finally, it could be that one of the 4 replicants of the original film is present. .
The post Blade Runner 2049: Intrigue, universe, characters … all that we know about the film first appeared on The Siver Times.

And melty’s editorial does not just talk about his weapons and his gadgets, which allow him to deal with most situations. No, like some other super heroines, the Major wears a rather special outfit, as we saw in the recent trailer of Ghost in the Shell . Except that in fact – and that fans of the original works know it – Motoko spends a lot in time in the manga and in the animated films to be … half or even completely naked! Which is problematic when for a live adaptation. Fortunately for Scarlett Johansson, The feature film team managed to create a costume that completely covered it but still remained faithful to the atmosphere and design of the elements of the original works . The actress has also entrusted himself on this very tight-fitting outfit, which she compares with another costume of the same kind that she wears on another well-known franchise!
Scarlett Johansson, who recently responded to the controversy surrounding her role in Ghost in the Shell , gave some details about the clothes she donned for the film, saying: ” When I saw the animated film, I said to myself, ‘I’m obviously not naked. We all agree that I’m not naked, right?’ ” And we can understand indeed that this little detail gave the actress a few cool sweats! Finally, it is a fitting combination, able to reflect its environment, that Scarlett Johansson carries in the film . And between the latter and that of Black Widow, that she puts on the productions Marvel , the actress already knows which she prefers! ” This combination is easier to wear than Black Widow, and it is easier to fight with . “She admitted to the magazine and gave us some technical details to prove it.” Black Widow’s outfit is made of neoprene, and sometimes even leather – which is absolutely horrible. [Motoko’s] is made of a silicone-based material, so you can be shredded in it, but only the outfit suffers, not your body. I’ve slaughtered them all. . “At least we know therefore that Scarlett Johansson has given herself fully to play the role of Motoko! We will in any case very soon have the opportunity to detail its holding in the film on 29 mas. How Do you find Motoko’s outfit?
The post Ghost in the Shell: Motoko vs. Black Widow, which costume does Scarlett Johansson prefer? first appeared on The Siver Times.

The director must go right behind Ridley Scott and his cult film of 1982: in short, a dose of stress rather monstrous for the one that has already proved itself . The filmmaker is rather clear on this point since in interview for Variety, the latter announced that it was “the most risky project of my life!” . Just that. So to be sure not to miss, the director of Blade Runner 2049, in which another character from the original film will be cast , surrounded himself with the best: “I decided to take Deakins because he was the best candidate With his 13 Oscar nominations! “.
For Blaise Runner 2049 , Denis Villeneuve is more than a sci-fi film. “I was really excited to work with Deakins who never did science fiction before because we have a very Intimist of the genre ” . Difficult to make more clear: this suite will not be like its predecessor ! The filmmaker will have to conquer new audiences as fans of the first opus released decades ago with Harrison Ford who will resume his role. Between Alien Covenant, Star Wars 8 and Blade Runner 2049, the year 2017 will be oriented towards science fiction ! To discover the most risky project of the life of the director, it will be necessary to wait until October 4th. What do you think of this project?
The post Blade Runner 2049: Denis Villeneuve “This is the most risky project of my life!” first appeared on The Siver Times.

But while the latter deals with the realization of Alien Covenant, of which 10 minutes were unveiled very gory , what about of Blade Runner in 2049 ? After all, the man could have taken care himself of the continuation of his cult film released several decades ago. Yet it will be Denis Villeneuve who will have the difficult task of staging this future production starring Harrison Ford (in his original role) and Ryan Gosling. The main argument is obviously his First Contact , one of science fiction that marked the end of 2016 many spectators.
With this foray into the world of science fiction, Denis Villeneuve has rapidly proven and convinced Ridley Scott to entrust the reins of his film . Not to mention that the director has other successes to his credit as Prisoners, Sicario, Fire … The man’s success is such that the studios have decided to entrust the adaptation of Dune, another monument of the science- Fiction written by Frank Herbert (and already transposed to the cinema by David Lynch). In short, with all these good elements, Denis Villeneuve seems to be the ideal choice to achieve Blade Runner 2049 with Dave Bautista tease a very cool role . Rendez-vous next October for the verdict. What do you think ?
The post Blade Runner 2049: Why does Denis Villeneuve realize this sequel? first appeared on The Siver Times.

The year 2017 will be definitely oriented towards science fiction! Ridley Scott will sign back with Alien Covenant , decades after creating the Xenomorph in the Eighth Passenger , and will also produce following his cult film Blade Runner Blade Runner 2049 . While these two science fiction monuments will have the right to a new episode, Star Wars will offer fans an eighth chapter whose title was unveiled recently. But why Alien Covenant, of which 10 minutes were unveiled very gory , Blade Runner in 2049 and Star Wars 8 are they highly anticipated and should provide a promising 2017 rather on the side of science fiction?
Penultimate chapter of the new trilogy initiated by JJ Abrams, Star Wars 8 should give the fans what they came for: Jedi and especially the return of Luke Skywalker . The latter will take care of training Rey on an island and despite many rumors, the first details of the synopsis are still not revealed. It must be said that LucasFilms protects these films very secretly and that the chances of information leaking before its release are very low. Not to mention that Star Wars 8, which surprises characters could be cast , will be the last film in which appears the actress Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia famous. The star unfortunately left us several weeks ago.
Ridley Scott will soon resurrect his famous creature: the Xenomorph. With Alien Covenant , following more or less direct from Prometheus , the director seems to want to offer fans of the creature a scary movie and gore. According to early returns of journalists who could watch ten minutes of the movie especially selected by Ridley Scott himself , Alien Covenant would be very promising . What give water to the mouth to the aficionados of science fiction who hope to discover a episode of quality and not another disappointment. Because until now, the Xenomorph has been greatly abused in cinema and few films in the franchise – or spinoff as Aliens vs. Predators – to be arrived at the ankle of a Eighth Passenger or Aliens: the return .
Another project attached to Ridley Scott but in this case, as a producer. The director had directed there for decades the first Blade Runner , landmark of science fiction, and entrusted the difficult task of staging the following Denis Villeneuve. Entitled Blade Runner in 2049 , Harrison Ford will sign his return in the same role that made him famous (to the sides of Star Wars ) and is joined by Ryan Gosling. The first teaser sets the tone and promises a lot, especially when we see the critical and commercial success of First Contact directed by Denis Villeneuve, science-fiction movie. Between Blade Runner in 2049 , Alien Covenant and Star Wars 8 , science fiction fans should love 2017!
The post Blade Runner 2049, Alien Covenant, Star Wars 8 … science fiction honored in 2017? first appeared on The Siver Times.

While the year 2016, particularly cruel for the world of artists (David Bowie, Prince, Alan Rickman, Anton Chekhov), ends, a new tragic death has marked our daily lives. Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia unforgettable Star Wars, died last Tuesday following a heart attack, leaving behind generations of orphans fans. If it is crossed in movies or cult series like When Harry Met Sally or Sex and the City , of course, is for his role in Star Wars that we remember most of Carrie Fisher. The iconic Leia Organa remains today one of the most famous fictional heroines – and celebrated – our culture , recognizable by its macaroons in the hair which the actress, with his usual irony, never stopped To make fun of. Today as before, we love Princess Leia for her courage, her determination, her sharp tongue too. So much so that the find in The Force Wake – certainly exhausted by decades of fighting and separated from the love of her life, Han Solo – we even had deeply moved. So in order to pay him homage, the editing of melty returns to the course of this absolutely mythical character.
Frail white silhouette with upright chin, standing straight in front of Dark Vador … this is how we discover for the first time Leia Organa, Princess of Alderaan and leading figure of the Rebel Alliance. And in a scene, you soon realize that this little girl is not only courageous and determined but she also knows how to stand up to men, even the most powerful . And in the late 1970s, marked by the increasingly powerful rise of feminism, it is not nothing. Moreover, Princess Leia, despite her title of nobility, is far from being a damsel in distress, as are presented at the time all female characters of this kind. So Luke, Han and Obi-Wan try to save her from the clutches of Darth Vader, who subjects her to torture, but we all know how it ends. In the end, it is Leia who takes command of the group and allows them to escape the Stormtroopers who took them in ambush! ” As of now, you will do what I tell you, understand? ” Balance does indeed a Han Solo a bit grumpy.
It is clear, Leia does not depend on anyone, especially a man . Not only does she shoot at the blaster but, in addition, she directs the Rebellion, a leadership role that is then often devolved to male characters. So in 1977, Leia shakes up all the codes and throws the stereotypes to the nettles! But if she is also independent and proud, it may be because she failed, for a time, to be the main heroine of the intergalactic saga. Because yes, before changing his mind and creating the character of Luke, George Lucas had planned to place a woman in the role of the main protagonist. Then the director thought of telling the story of two brothers but, faced with the lack of female characters, then chose to transform one of them into a woman. That may be why Leia has inherited this little boy missed and determined!
And Leia obviously remains true to itself throughout the trilogy , sending stroll with many scathing remarks that Han presumptuous who thinks necessary – before falling under his spell – taking the lead each time Necessary and fighting the Empire with all its energy. The couple she forms with Han is also particularly atypical. Between two well-placed gates, Leia lets see a little of her femininity, as in this poignant scene where she is doomed to see the man she likes to be cryogenized. We all remember this bit of dialogue that summarizes all by himself the relationship of the two characters: ” I love you ,” she said as Han, who replied: ” I know .” No romanticism, there is no time for it! But it is once again that Leia in Return of the Jedi did everything to save the trapped smuggler in its matrix of carbonite in Jabba’s palace, without anyone’s help. If it fails, in the end, to implement its plan, it proves once again to what extent it is determined.
And then there’s the bikini. Ah, he has made ink, this costume two pieces gilded! Representation of male fantasy for some or, conversely, means to be free of human domination for others, we can say that this outfit – the most iconic Star Wars – is kind of controversial. This is Carrie Fisher, which we showed you a few photos of the filming of Star Wars , transformed into a sex symbol, almost reified in the role of a submissive slave to the desires of a large larva of space. And yet! In spite of this bikini which reveals (almost) everything and which could symbolize its vulnerability, Leia loses nothing of its impetuosity. Is it not, after all, that chokes Jabba during the battle on the barge in Episode VI, echoing his freedom and marking, symbolically, the emancipation of women? At least it is in this way that one can understand this brutal scene but oh so satisfactory (because one agrees, eh, we hate ALL Jabba the Hutt)!
Princess with a well-tempered character and who can not be told by anyone, Leia went through decades, joining Wonder Woman or Ellen Ripley in the pantheon of the iconic female figures of pop culture. Sure, after thirty years of fighting, our heroine took a few wrinkles and lost his androgynous figure but his energy has not faded . In The Force Alarm , Leia continues to fight for what she believes, endorsing the title of General of the Resistance, as if to erase her femininity even after his personal and family life ended in pieces. But she remains that princess we loved so much in the first Star Wars trilogy, which made us laugh as much as she moved us, and whose fascinating aura did not falter. His interpreter has bent his bow, Leia is not ready to disappear from our lives. Although some of us wondered sadly will look like the future of the Star Wars saga without Carrie Fisher and incredible character. Come on, it’s time for us to plunge back into the first trilogy and fall, for the umpteenth time, under the spell of this unforgettable princess of the stars. What scene of Leia do you prefer?
The post Carrie Fisher aka Princess Leia in Star Wars, back on this mythical character first appeared on The Siver Times.
