While awaiting the arrival of the 3rd season of the prequel, centered on the invaluable advocate, we compiled the easter eggs honoring the original series.
Knowing that a link existed between the two series is obvious. Already, basic, you know. That’s all. Then, the universe, the sets, the plans: you find plenty of things. Also characters, including future lawyer “Saul Goodman” or Mike. And it’s not over ! The first two seasons of the prequel are filled with references to her creator, the Breaking Bad series. Here are some easter eggs.
Jimmy bump into a Cinnabon
From the opening scene, boom: a black and white image where he is seen wearing a mustache and holding the perfect sandwich preparer: apron and cap showing the brand name (Cinnabon), gloves. Which brings us back to Season 5 (Granite State episode), when Walter and “Saul” discuss what to do next if we need to stop in case of emergencies . Jimmy / Saul balance that he will make low profile, that will make a taf hidden while changing identity. What taf? “In the best of cases, I run a Cinnabon in Omaha . ” That seems to have been done. And we hear that it is called “Gene” .
The manicure salon
Before landing in his fat office of Breaking Bad, Saul made with the means of the edge. And at the beginning, it was in a cramped room of Ms. Nguyen’s aesthetic salon, as seen in Better Call Saul. A universe for which he retains a certain tenderness since he proposes this as an idea to launder money . Two times. In season 3 (episode “Kafkaesque”), to Jessy. Then to Walter in season 5.
The desert as a place of death … or almost
It is impossible not to remember the episode, in the 5th and last season of Breaking Bad, where Walter humiliates his opponent by leaving him as coldly as authoritatively: “Say my name” . When it stank, it reverses the situation. Well, James / Saul does the same from the second episode, “Mijo”. His fucking plan to get under, with two losers, takes him into the wilderness, with a Tuco decided to all butt . And the talented orator of the future lawyer saves them.
The Marco Ring
Before moving to Albuquerque, to follow his brother, Jimmy lived in Chicago. Without going so far as to say that he made the 400 shots, he made some bad ones. With his buddy Marco, precisely. The two lascars squatted a bar, unrolled their combine to draw money from businessmen, and life was rolling. In Better Call Saul, Jimmy goes back a few days in Chicago, finds his buddy and they make a final blow together. When Marco died of a heart attack. This is where Jimmy gets his ring, at the request of the deceased, after the funeral. The ring he carries to the little finger of the left hand in Breaking afterwards . And that symbolizes his penchant for scams.
Loyola’s Family Restaurant
Mike’s privileged location when he has to set an important appointment. In Breaking Bad, it is Jessy (season 4) and Lydia (season 5) who find it there. In Better Call Saul, we see Mike go there and obviously be a regular . At ease, he speaks with the waitress, limiting a little flirting. And it is there that he meets Hector Salamanca, who offers him an offer that he can not refuse. The creators pushed vice by using this restaurant as Jimmy’s meeting place with the Kettlemen family, as his office is a bit pitiful at this time.
The Casa Tranquila retirement home
This is where Jimmy inventes a specialist in the right of defense of the elderly, distributes his cards and seeks a big file to land the company that runs this barracks, and others in the country. And this Casa Tranquila is the same place where Hector Salamanca finds himself in Breaking Bad , when Tuco was killed. The old tent tries to build a plan to take revenge on Walter, Gus goes to see him, and so on. Until the moment when the two blow up their faces, especially Gus who gets trapped, by the craft bomb of Walter. This end of season 4, fucking. Who wants to complete with his finds (there are at least a dozen other references)?
The post Better Call Saul is full of references to Breaking Bad, and we kiffe first appeared on The Siver Times.

More than thirteen episodes and the series will come to an end. One moment that the fans wait and dread at once! Like the possibility of a good rotten end.
It was on Reddit that the delirium took place. A guy (Shaylw) asked the question: “What is the worst way they could end the series?” And there, they are several fans to have swung their worst apprehensions, ending crappy and frustrating goods. Not to say annoying! It’s gone, selection of the best of the worst.
The blow of “in fact nothing happened”
– Bran wakes up and realizes that everything we saw was only his dream, since his fall from the tower
– Davos Mervault was only reading a book
– Bran uses her powers to tell her father, in the past, not to go with Robert. His father listens to him, and so nothing happens.
What end for Jon and “Dany”?
– Jon Snow and Daenerys congregate and inflict a defeat on the white marchers. At the end of the episode, they celebrate it with a banquet with all their companions. And the Sandsnakes take advantage of it to stop everybody and to ascend the throne of iron. Jon and Dany whistle together, melted black.
– Jon Snow empties his blood at the foot of Daenarys: “But why ?” – She: “The violent delights end violently .” The camera goes back until you see Westeros as a map, unfolded on a huge table. In front of which Bernard (who? Of Westworld? Delirious of the fan) and Mélisandre are, while Joffrey walks there, naked, and proposes to them hors d’oeuvres.
Any reference to Dexter would be fortuitous …
– Winter has arrived. Jon Snow is preparing to go to sea, under a crazy tempest, with very probably death at the end. We’re moving ahead, Oregon, much later. A silhouette can be seen in the distance, cutting wood with an ax, near a tree. It’s Jon Snow, who has since become a lumberjack.
Big fight and end
– Jon, Cersei and Daenerys meet at the Battle of the Trident for a gigantic confrontation between their respective armies. Suddenly, Bran comes back from behind the wall with a three-eyed crow or a bullshit of the kind and pulls out a tirade about the real enemy who happens to be the white walkers. Daenerys, who uses all of his dragons, then kills him. And hop, they all live forever happy, in the best of all worlds. Cersei may end up self-poisoning or being killed by a wild boar, or other delirium. Sam never becomes a magician.
– Littlefinger (Petyr Baelish, eh) won everything and sits on the iron throne. He settles comfortably, hunts some shadows, and cowards: “I could get used to it.” Fade to black.
Westworld Psychosis
– Anthony Hopkins disembarks as the final battle begins and begins to repair a faulty horse. The camera zooms out and is heard asking the animal / robot questions.
And we end with the proposition probably closest to the true end:
– Everyone is too busy to be whipped in every direction and no one is prepared to face the white walkers. Assessment: the end of the human race. Which makes you laugh the most?
The post Fans of “Game of Thrones” imagine the worst possible ends and are hurting themselves first appeared on The Siver Times.

Sometimes we wonder why. Sometimes you do not understand. At other times, we’re downright pissed off. In any case, there is always an explanation. Examples.
We simple spectators are ignorant. And that rhymes with addiction. We love a series, we like a character in particular and we want to keep it with us as long as possible. Mourning sometimes proves difficult, especially when you do not understand why the character should die . Because we do not have all the cards in hand. Here is what goes on behind the scenes and explains everything.
Sara Lance / Black Canary in “The Arrow”
Sister of Laurel, also a former conquest of Oliver aka The Arrow, Sara was given for dead from the beginning. Since the accident of Oliver’s boat, which had also made him believe it disappeared forever. In short, years later, the Black Canary landed and greatly helped Oliver in his taf to clean the city. Until she takes an arrow and falls from a building, dying instantly . Too bad, the fans loved it. Then the screenwriters and producers have brought him back to life, to tear it off, and it’s gone. Then they created a series called “Legends of Tomorrow”, around her. Big change of plan.
Rita in “Dexter”
Dexter’s girlfriend and wife, Rita was the ray of light of Dexter. As well as all the spectators. Problem: Dexter continued (as always) his small outings and ended up falling on a tough, trinity. Their mano a mano game ended dramatically, the opponent killing Rita, in his bathtub, when Dexter had eliminated him and thought he had escaped. Wrong. A death that was not necessarily planned for this character but that the producers saw as the best possible end in season 5 . And for the history of Dexter in general.
Stringer Bell in “The Wire”
Slowly but surely, the character has grown considerably. At Avon Barksdale’s base deputy, he becomes important when he finds himself in jail for a while. Then his intelligence makes the difference. He becomes the boss, he maneuvers everything behind the scenes, expands his network, fricots with the politicians … Fans love him too much . And this is what motivated the producers to kill the character, with the agreement of the actor, Idris Elba. They did not want and could not let the message pass that the life of a drug trafficker is noble, enviable, a success. The life of a gangster is difficult, risky, and ends badly. Omar had the same treatment, for the same reasons.
Kate Todd in “NCIS”
Then there, it is clearly the actress who wanted to be dezangled. Sasha Alexander was not ready for the rhythm of work required for the shooting of a series, long, constant, taking. Despite her extraordinary performance as a secret service agent, she did not hold the blow physically and nervously. Exhausted, she asked the producers to find a solution , that her character leaves the plot for good. So at the end of Season 2, she took a bullet and went away.
Lexa in “The 100”
Basically, we find ourselves a century after an apocalypse erupted on earth and some survivors live in an ark. After a while, they realize that their resources will not suffice forever and that we must return to earth, see if there is any way to resume their life there. So they send 100 young prisoners, minors, in designated voluntary mode, knowing full well that it stinks the suicide mission. Among them, Clarke, who will meet one of the few survivors left on earth, now formed into tribes, Lexa. These two women will then lead a romance. The actress Alycia Debnam-Carey who played Lexa was recruited in 2015 in “Fear The Walking Dead” . Question timetable, it was no longer manageable. She would have missed at least half the third season. Then the producers took the lead: after a scene of love with Clarke (long awaited by the fans), Lexa dies taking a ball to save her lover. A sudden but stupid death that made the fans crazy, to the point that they threatened to kill the showrunner Jason Rothenberg. How did you react to their dead?
The post The thousand and one reasons to kill a character in series first appeared on The Siver Times.
