Our fan life would certainly be a little less exciting! And rumors and theories, there are many, especially since the very first teaser trailer of the film was unveiled to the Star Wars Celebration . But that was to be expected, the first videos of a film always having the gift of awakening the most fertile imaginations. Just see the ones that circulate on the nature of the book previewed in the trailer of Star Wars: The Last Jedi to be convinced. And precisely, it is a rumor that the editorial of melty intends to speak to you today. A rumor that concerns Luke – yes, Still one – or rather an object that he would have in his possession in this film. As usual, it comes straight from the Making Star Wars site, whose old assumptions have often proved to be right, at least as far as Star Wars: The Reveil of the Force is concerned . According to them, then, Luke would have a necklace . But be careful, not just any … Making Star Wars indeed claims that it would contain a piece of kyber crystal. But not those that are used to make the Jedi’s lightabers, no. It would actually be a piece of red crystal . Yes, as red as the weapons the Sith brandish! At least as far as Star Wars: The Revival of Force. According to them, then, Luke would have a necklace . It would actually be a piece of red crystal . Yes, as red as the weapons wielded by the Sith!
And it would not be a coincidence since it would actually come from the Dark Vador’s lightsaber . In fact, the site relies on the idea that Luke would have retained pieces of his father’s weapon, transforming them into relics. So, can we really believe this rumor? In itself, she’s not that crazy. After all, Luke is crying for Anakin’s death in Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi, and one might think he has physically kept with him a kind of memory of his father. But he could just as well have taken the crystal tip to remember how dark the side seems to be seductive and that we must constantly guard against it. And then, of course, there are these words that he says in the trailer of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and which suggest that he would like to see the Jedi disappear . The tip of red kyber crystal could very well illustrate the changes that time and hardships have entailed in Luke’s thought and philosophy . Besides, you have to keep in mind that crystals have recently become a reality in Star Wars movies thanks to Rogue One . So yes, this theory is plausible. This does not mean that it will be verified. Wait and see ! What do you think ? The tip of red kyber crystal could very well illustrate the changes that time and hardships have entailed in Luke’s thought and philosophy . What emotions, meltynauts! Especially if you are hardcore fans of Star Wars! For the last few days have been punctuated by a deluge of announcements, news and … of trailers, including that of Star Wars: The Last Jedi , of course. And if only three days have passed since its release, we can already see the deciphering, the theories and analyzes of this teaser in the form of trailers already flourishing on the internet which, it must be admitted, is as mysterious as ‘exciting. The words of Luke Skywalker, in particular, which declares that the Jedi must disappear, intrigue particularly – even destabilize a little! But it is not the only element of the video to leave us perplexed. There is also this strange book, Which seems to rest in the huge cavern with the tarabiscoté design that one discovers a little before and whose cover is adorned with a strange symbol . And then we wonder about the nature of this book and what it has to do with the plot of the film. Is it to relate with the famous ” end of the Jedi ” evoked by Luke? Here, in any case, are some hypotheses that can be expressed about the object and its meaning.
And to try to guess what it can serve well, you have to start by looking at its cover, obviously. For the symbol engraved there is strikingly similar to that of the Jedi Order, which is more refined. What makes us think that this book is related, in one way or another, to the Jedi and the history of their Order. Moreover, one would imagine that it contained well ancient knowledge, dating from the time of the very first Jedi. After all, did not Luke go in search of the first Jedi Temple? He might have found this book, which would also explain the appearance of the symbol on its cover. Over time, it could have evolved to become the Jedi Order. What is certain is that to see its worn look, the book is very, very old! Sufficiently perhaps to hold forgotten information about the Force and the early Jedi teachings . As a result, Luke ‘s wish to see the Jedi disappear, as announced in the Star Wars trailer: The Last Jedi . Perhaps he discovered something that pushed him to question what he learned alongside Obi-Wan and Yoda.
But there is another hypothesis that can be emitted. For some, it could just as well be … the Journal des Whills ! If you’ve seen Star Wars: Rogue One , the name ” Whills ” should tell you something . In the mythology of the intergalactic saga, it refers to very ancient beings who would have had a very powerful connection with the Force, far more than that which unites them to the Jedi. As for the concept of the Journal of the Whills, it emerged at the very beginning of the creation of the universe of Star Wars , at the time when George Lucas intended to use it as an instrument to link the galaxy very, very distant and fictitious to our world real. It was supposed to contain the knowledge and knowledge of the Whills. And as these are mentioned through the characters of Chirrut and Baze in Star Wars: Rogue One , they might as well reappear in the films of the new trilogy. And why not, through this book? Of course, these are only hypotheses and ultimately its usefulness and significance may be quite different. Especially as the hand that sweeps the blanket does not look too much like Luke’s. In fact, if we observe it, it looks more like belonging to Maz Kanata, who gave us the impression of knowing a lot about the Force in Episode VII. What is certain, in any case, is that this book is not insignificant and that it will have an impact on the course of Rey in the continuation of the trilogy! In your opinion, what is this book about?
The post Star Wars The Last Jedi: What is the nature of the book in the trailer? first appeared on The Siver Times.

And of course, there is of course K-2SO, the new droid of the saga and, incidentally, the co-pilot of Cassian and comic element of the film. Finally comical … let us say rather that his sarcastic and well-felt replies fly and that they tend to lighten a little atmosphere. But what you should know is that the robot does not always have the habit of saying, without filter, what passes through his head! Former droid of the Empire, he owes his freedom of speech and expression to Cassian, who completely reprogrammed him when he embarked with him and integrated him into the Rebel Alliance. And given the way he behaves in front of the Stormtroopers, It is clear that Kaytoo has completely forgotten what working for the Empire means. As a result, it is impossible to know what kind of tasks or missions he was able to perform on behalf of the opponents of the Rebel Alliance . At least until today. After all, when you discovered an unexpected Easter Egg in Star Wars: Rogue One , we finally learn what K-2SO was making within the Empire! And strangely, it’s not Garrett Edwards, the director of Star Wars: Rogue One , who reveals it to us. No, it’s Alan Tudyk , who lends his voice to the droid and who had the pleasure of putting on his costume, who does it! Impossible to know what kind of tasks or missions he was able to carry out for the opponents of the Rebel Alliance . At least until today. In an interview with the ComicBook site, the actor had fun describing his character’s life in the Empire. And so he reveals: ” .. His background was rather limited Knowing that he belonged to the Empire, he somehow got a renaissance when Cassian has rescheduled some ways, it was a slave He was a more stoic person, he had to follow orders, he was running in all directions, he was very busy with security, he had a bunch of keys hanging from his belt . Well then, now we know what kind of work (not frankly splitting) Kaytoo was in charge of performing for the Empire. As we suspected , his activities were rather basic, As it should be when one is a droid of the Empire . As a result, we prefer to think that, thanks to Cassian, who allowed him to develop a more dynamic personality, Kaytoo came to prefer his existence within the Rebel Alliance. Even if this led to destruction. So of course, these little details about the life of K-2SO are not overly important, but they will still please the fans curious to learn as much as possible about the film and its characters. Moreover, in the same vein, we now know where the name of the planet Scarif comes from, where the final battle of Star Wars: Rogue One takes place . Have a comment for Kaytoo? Kaytoo has come to prefer his existence to the Rebel Alliance. Even if this led to destruction. From a desert planet to a viscous swamp through a world of ice and a city floating in the clouds, the saga has always taken us to very, very diverse places. And, thanks to the new trilogy, we have not finished visiting the galaxy! If we go back to Tatooine or Endor in Star Wars: The Last Jedi , there is no doubt that our heroes will also take us on new planets. Starting with Ahch-To, where Luke chose to live in exile and whose secrets should be discovered through Rey. But according to Making Star Wars, we will also have the opportunity to go on a whole new world , Very different from those we have seen so far in the films of the saga. And for good reason, it would be a planet-casino. Intriguing, intriguing …
The site claims that a whole new planet named Canto Bight will make its appearance in the saga and that it would be linked to the secret mission of Finn . But not only ! Because it would also be there that we would meet DJ, the presumed character of Benicio Del Toro in Star Wars: The Last Jedi . According to Making Star Wars, the scenes taking place on Canto Bight, whose name remains to be confirmed, were filmed in Dubrovnik from where, you may remember, we had received some pictures of the shoot. At the time, the possibility of the character of Benicio Del Toro being connected in one way or another to the scenery on the images was mentioned. What then let us think that this ancient rumor was not far from the truth. But that’s not all ! Because always according to the site, a decor of prison would also have been constructed so that there are turned some scenes. And here at melty, we think we’d see DJ locked up behind bars … before he’s released by Finn and the character of Kelly Marie Tran – who apparently is supposed to help our hero – Gives them a helping hand as part of their secret mission. But all this is only conjecture. Even though the idea of a casino planet, so inevitably a bit shady, is still exciting! What kind of planet would you like to see in Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Of course, it is necessary to ensure that the characters and the events are consistent in the history of the franchise and that they do not contradict what happened in the previous opus . That is a very important point. But we forget that we must also pay attention to the most minute details, such as … the names of places and planets ! Because it is necessary to stay in the tone of the saga without also imagining completely improbable denominations. As a result, We imagine that Gareth Edwards and his screenwriter Gary Whitta had to brainstorm well when it was necessary to name the various planets of the first spin-off of Star Wars . Moreover, the director, who recently unveiled an unexpected Easter Egg present in Star Wars: Rogue One , has a funny anecdote to tell about it. An anecdote about the name of the planet Scarif, where the final battle of the film takes place, which he took the time to tell in an interview for CNN and that melty makes you share. Has a funny anecdote to tell about it. Has a funny anecdote to tell about it. An anecdote about the name of the planet Scarif, where the final battle of the film takes place, which he took the time to tell in an interview for CNN and that melty makes you share.
The director tells that, instructed by Gary Whitta to find the name of the planet, he had studied the matter at length. And that the inspiration finally came to him during a passage in a coffee of the famous signboards Starbucks! He said, ” I went to the Starbucks to have a coffee and said, ‘What could be his name?’ ‘But maybe we could use that?’ ‘And then [the waitress ] When I asked for my name, I answered ‘Gareth’, but they had to hear ‘Scarif’, they had written ‘Scarif’ on the goblet and I said to myself: .. It looks like something out of Star Wars’ I came home and I gave it to Gary and said, ‘her name Scarif.’ . And there’s no doubt that the anecdote itself will do the same, especially if it’s also featured in the complete guide to the Star Wars universe: Rogue One ! What do you think of the name of the planet? And there’s no doubt that the anecdote itself will do the same, especially if it’s also featured in the complete guide to the Star Wars universe: Rogue One !

You thought you’d discovered all the Easter Eggs in Star Wars: Rogue One? Yet, it is unlikely that you spotted the one unveiled by Gareth Edwards!
It’s been more than three months since Star Wars: Rogue One has landed on our screens, taking everything in its path with its war narrative and her new heroine’s temperament. And even though the time has passed, we keep talking about it, proof that this first spin-off had a great effect on us! For if we thought it had been dissecting it long, broad and cross, it turns out that the film has in fact not yet revealed all its secrets. Melty has taught you just recently that Dark Vador was originally supposed to kill one of the main characters at the end of Star Wars: Rogue One , namely Orson Krennic. But besides the different versions of the scenario, Gareth Edwards, the director, And his writers also point out to us all the little details that escaped us – and what does it matter how many times we saw the movie! There is in particular a visual element which appears very briefly in the image but which is nevertheless in direct relation with … the swords-lasers of Jedi and their manufacture . Obviously, as you probably know, this famous detail has something to do with Jedha and the provenance of the kyber crystals!
In an interview for Collider, Gareth Edwards revealed that the city of Jedha was built … in a crater formed by a meteorite crashing on the moon of the same name millions of years ago. And it is the impact caused by the meteorite that actually caused the creation of kyber crystals! He explains: ” Some of the things we’ve done are actually visual clues to ideas that maybe no one will ever notice … If you look at the first image where you see Jedha, There is a gigantic circular rock formation around it.The idea is that a meteorite fell on Jedha and that the impact was so powerful that it led to the creation of the kyber crystals. Then Jedha became the only place in the galaxy where there is such a large density of kyber crystals, which the Jedi need to shape their lightabers. Because of this impact, Jedha became a kind of holy city. But it happened millions of years ago . “This explains the appearance of the city, which seems to emerge from the desert, as well as the presence of the Temple where the famous crystals were.
However, it must be admitted, seeing Jedha for the first time, obviously we have not made the comparison! So when Gareth Edwards finishes by saying, ” We tried to tell this story in this first image, where we see this circular formation whose heart is the city of Jedha . “, We want to tell him that we lacked a few elements to find out. But this also proves that Star Wars: Rogue One, whose alternative end has been unveiled , is full of references and visual details that enrich the universe of the intergalactic saga. Whether you notice them, finally, or not.
The post Star Wars Rogue One: A new unexpected Easter Egg unveiled by Gareth Edwards first appeared on The Siver Times.

But our two heroes are not the only ones who could have had a completely different ending. Because in the original version of the script, Jyn Erso and Cassian are not the only ones to be saved. Director Krennic, played by Ben Mendelsohn , also has the right to his happy ending. Well almost. He actually succeeded in surviving and was drafted by the imperial forces. “He survived the explosion and brought him back to the Star of Death to bring him back to Darth Vader ,” said screenwriter Gary Whitta. “He is in a bad state, his cloak is torn and he thinks he has valiantly served the Emperor . ” But in reality, for Darth Vader, he has not at all succeeded in his mission since the plans of the Star of Death have managed to be stolen.
And so, Darth Vader, loyal to himself, strangles him with his Force and kills him “for his failure,” Gary Whitta explained. Finally, this scene was a bit complicated, because how can you explain that director Krennic managed to survive the explosion of the planet Scarif? It’s impossible. What’s more, they preferred to use Darth Vader for a much more significant scene, where he arrives on Princess Leia’s ship to kill all the soldiers, which brings us straight back to the beginning of Episode IV, A New Hope . Because yes, in the beginning, this scene did not exist in the Star Wars script : Rogue One . Finally, we are quite happy that they changed all that, because tying Rogue One to episode IV was a very good idea! And, If Rogue One is missing you, know that a suite in the form of a novel is to be expected ! So we have not finished hearing about our favorite rebel soldiers! What do you think ?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: One of the main characters was almost killed by Dark Vador first appeared on The Siver Times.

Between the original script and the final version, there have been many changes and some scenes have even had to be returned. And the end of the film is part of these latest changes . In the version we saw in the cinema, Jyn Erso, Cassian and their other acolytes do not get away and fall with Scarif. An end, to say the least brutal, which was not really expected. And this is normal, since in the original version, Jyn Erso and Cassian were not to die ! It is the screenwriter Gary Whitta who revealed this information, describing how Star Wars: Rogue One was to end. “A rebel ship descended on Scarif to pick them up. The transfer of the plans for the Star of Death took place later. They were jumping and later Leia’s ship had to come from Alderaan to help them. The transfer of data between the vessels was then off Scarif , “he said.
And it’s not over ! Gary Whitta also said that, as in the final version, Darth Vader obviously did not say his last word and so went on to pursue this data, destroying Jyn Erso’s ship. It was then found on the ship of Leia, rebasculating on the famous scene that opened episode IV, A New Hope . But the film did not stop there! A last image was to show us the debris of Jyn Erso’s ship, and we would have learned that Jyn and Cassian had managed to escape before. In short, what a twist! But the question now is: why did you finally decide not to save them? Simply because in reality the basic idea was to kill them all but not being sure to be allowed to do so, They preferred to present a first version where Jyn and Cassian were getting along. Eventually, they were pleasantly surprised when Lucasfilm agreed that the entire crew was to die. And so their fate was sealed. Unless they find a way to get Jyn Erso back? And you, what do you think of this alternative end?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: The Alternative End Unveiled! first appeared on The Siver Times.

While the film has surpassed the billion mark without too much worry, the fans have only one hurry, that of finding Jyn and his fine team for a new viewing on Blu-Ray. And that says Blu-Ray of Star Wars Rogue One, of which a sequel in the form of novel is to be expected , said bonus exclusive. For the most impatient, these were unveiled by Making Star Wars (without saying too much about the content). For example, John Knoll, the film’s special effects supervisor, will explain why Rogue One was the perfect choice to begin the spin-offs of the saga.
There are several videos that will explain the development of human characters like Jyn and Cassian or the K-2SO robot. A good way to find out a lot more about this hero team. One of the bonuses called “The Empire” will return to the darkest designs of this enemy driven by the terrible Dark Vader : the fans are already looking forward. The Star Wars Rogue One Blu-Ray , whose two characters will soon be explored in a book , will also be the opportunity for his technical team to take up the challenge of the film and its place in an already rich universe. This Blu-Ray that will be released on March 24th is likely to find a good place on the shelf of fans of Star Wars !
The post Star Wars Rogue One: The bonuses of the Blu-Ray version finally known! first appeared on The Siver Times.

Given the end of Star Wars: Rogue One, Jyn is unlikely to reappear one day. Yet, for Felicity Jones, there would be a way to bring her back!
As the very first spin-off, Star Wars: Rogue One has more than managed his bet! Not only was he able to conquer the public and the fans of the license but he also managed to introduce new characters and to add new elements to his extended universe. But unlike Luke, Han or Rey, Jyn Erso, Cassian and company will probably never return to the big screen. And for good reason, the end of Star Wars: Rogue One , although necessary and logical, proves quite tragic, all the members of the rebel Jyn team each perishing their turn during their mission . A chain of deaths, moreover, which left us exhausted and heartbroken! But is there really no way to bring back some of our characters from the dead? Star Wars: Rogue One was originally supposed to end differently , including the survival of Jyn and Cassian. So how could our heroine eventually return to the Star Wars universe ? His interpreter, Felicity Jones, has his little idea on the matter!
Because imagine that the actress really believes that her character could one day come back. The only question is how! Interviewed by the HeyUGuys site on the subject, Felicity Jones, who said she loved the experience, had fun thinking about a way to get her character back. And as you will see, she has already explored a few tracks. ” I had an extraordinary experience and I could never have expected anything better – and people seemed to react well to that ,” she told the HeyUGuys site. ” It’s great to be part of that – who knows, maybe Jyn could reincarnate, you can imagine everything and anything, maybe it could come back in the form of a hologram! ” . Well, clearly, It’s unlikely that Jyn will reincarnate , as she was even pulverized at the end of Star Wars: Rogue One . And the theme of reincarnation has never been used in franchising.
On the other hand, yes, Jyn could come back in the form of a hologram, at the bend of a small cameo . We did not see him recording any message in the film but that does not mean that the possibility of seeing it again does not exist. After all, it inspired courage in the Rebel Alliance and allowed it to destroy the Black Star and stand up to the Empire! So it would not be surprising if Leia had somehow kept Jyn’s image. And if that’s not the case, we can still find it, as will also be the case for two other Star Wars characters: Rogue One, in the novel supposedly exploring his past . Would you like to see Jyn in another Star Wars movie?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: How Jyn Erso Could Return, According to Felicity Jones first appeared on The Siver Times.

But most of all, Rogue One has been thought of as a stand-alone movie , so it does not call for prequel or … Star Wars: A new hope more or less fulfilling that role. And considering its end, we suspect that there would not be much else to tell about our characters anyway. However – and that you know too – the universe of Star Wars is not limited to the eight films already released. The books and comics are responsible for extending it as they go along, giving details or relating the past of certain protagonists. For example, Chirrut and Baze Malbius, of Star Wars: Rogue One, will have their own novel , which will tell their training within the Whill Guardians, and Jyn will be entitled to the same treatment, with his focus on Years she spent with Saw Gerrera’s group. But what we did not know was that Star Wars: Rogue One would benefit … a direct sequel in the form of a book ! However, if you hoped that our heroes could come back miraculously, you will be disappointed. Focusing on her years with Saw Gerrera. But what we did not know was that Star Wars: Rogue One would benefit … a direct sequel in the form of a book ! However, if you hoped that our heroes could come back miraculously, you will be disappointed. Focusing on her years with Saw Gerrera. But what we did not know was that Star Wars: Rogue One would benefit … a direct sequel in the form of a book ! However, if you hoped that our heroes could come back miraculously, you will be disappointed.
Because in fact this Star Wars: Rogue One series will take place from the point of view of the Empire. According to the official Star Wars website , the novel ” Inferno Squad “, to which author Christie Golden will be responsible, will begin right after the Battle of Scarif, during which the Empire Humiliated by the Rebel Alliance. In order to take revenge, it allows the formation of an elite unit – the inferno Squad, therefore – in charge of infiltrating the ranks of what remains of the band of Saw Gerrera. Because yes, all its members apparently did not perish in the destruction of the city of Jedha. Having decided to continue the struggle and make themselves worthy of the legacy of Saw Gerrera, Its partisans are determined to thwart the designs of the Empire by all possible means. Members of the Inferno Squad are therefore tasked to destroy the rebel group from within to protect the interests of the Empire.
So they are the ones we will follow throughout history. If one considers that the Empire more or less suffered a defeat at the Battle of Scarif, it is normal that it seeks revenge . It remains to be seen whether the elite soldiers of the Inferno Squad will be up to the task, Gerrera’s supporters certainly want to avenge his death! Anyway, Star Wars: Inferno Squad should allow us to get even more acquaintance with the rebel group and give us new details yet unknown on the universe of the saga. It is obviously not the only one since a recent book stamped Star Wars finally allowed us to know what had become the Jar Jar Binks ! What do you think ?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: A sequel in the form of a novel to be expected! first appeared on The Siver Times.

Which characters will appear in the first Star Wars 8 teaser? The new rumor that circulates on the net on this subject could well give us some clues!
Well, we learned the official title of the next Star Wars episode. And now what? Well, now, we wait. We’re expecting April, which should mark the waves with the first teaser of Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi in the annual Star Wars Celebration . Yes, two months is the time that he will obviously have to wait before having the very first images of the film. And we are not even sure that they will not simply constitute a video behind the scenes! What, meltynauts, does not prevent us from dreaming or hoping. Nor to imagine what it could take place in the first TRUE teaser of Star Wars 8 . And on this subject, a rumor has been running since yesterday on the net, Launched by Star Wars News Net. If he does not know the exact content of the future teaser, he would have discovered … what characters could show up ! As much to say that the names that are mentioned are obviously the ones that are expected the most.
According to the website, therefore, the first teaser for Star Wars 8 would pride to the Resistance and therefore, inevitably, our General Leia . And we do not have too much trouble believing, to show the character of Carrie Fisher in the video representing a new opportunity to pay homage to him. But she would obviously not be the only one. Rey and Finn – this dear Finn that we tend to forget – would also be present. And Luke in all this? The one that seems to be the last Jedi title and we only saw a few seconds at the end of the Revival of the Force ? Well, rest assured! It would seem that our mythical Jedi will also be part of the game! On the other hand, beside this, It is not known if Kylo Ren or even the character that Benicio Del Toro plays in Star Wars 8 – and that some imagine in the role of Rey’s father – will show the tip of their nose. Of course, all this is for now a rumor and it could be that the teaser presents any other character. However, we remain hopeful. The first video of Reveil de la Force had shown Rey’s face, hidden certainly, but we had especially allowed to find Han Solo and Chewbacca as they landed in the Millennium Falcon. Nostalgic fiber to vibrate. The first teaser of Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi could, however, get faster in the heart of the matter! What would you like to see in the first teaser? All this is for now a rumor and it could be that the teaser presents any other character. However, we remain hopeful.

There are still a lot of little details that we do not know about the characters and the Star Wars plot: Rogue One. Fortunately, the novel inspired by the film reveals them!
For every Star Wars movie that comes out, you obviously have to be careful what happens on the screen … but also what happens around it! For the books, the comics, the arts books that land each allow to add new stones to the edifice. And the first spin-off of the franchise of course does not derogate from the rule. Thus, we have four things about the character of Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen), the warrior monk of Star Wars: Rogue One , which we did not know until then , thanks to the art book ” Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide ” . But there is another book that can give us a lot of unpublished details about the film, its plot and its characters. And this book, of course, is the novel by Alexander Freed that takes the story of the spin-off step by step. Not only does it relate all the events of Star Wars: Rogue One but it also explores the past of some of our favorite protagonists and even goes back on some details passed over in silence in the film . Melty’s editorial reveals 5 secrets – among many others – revealed in the book Rogue One: A Star Wars Story !
The past life of the Erso
When one discovers the Erso family, it lives on the planet Lah’mu, far from the Empire, where Galen Erso plays the farmers. A rather amazing reconversion for this scientist who spent part of his life studying the kyber crystals, as Orson Krennic notes! As we told you when we discussed the 3 issues raised by the saga Star Wars: Rogue One is responding to , Galen actually fled the Empire after he understood what he was planning to do with his research. The book Rogue One: A Star Wars Story reveals that if Galen has adapted to life of a farmer, he, however, never stopped being a scientist . But instead of devoting himself to the kyber crystals, he studied the study of the vegetation and soil composition of Lah’mu. As for Lyra Erso, we learn that she was always wary of the Empire – not least because of her faith in the Force – and was even tempted to leave Galen and take Jyn away from Coruscant. But once on Lah’mu, far from Krennic and her bad influence, Lyra obviously adapted very well to her new life, which she took to love . We understand why she tries to kill Krennic at the beginning of the film. No question for her to return to the bosom of the Empire!
Jyn’s violent past in the group of Saw Gerrera
When you think about it, you do not know much about what Jyn did after his parents died. Collected by Saw Gerrera, it is clear that she fought alongside her rebel group, where she certainly learned how to defend herself like a pro. And according to the novel, Cassian is not alone in getting his hands dirty! According to the book, Jyn has committed many acts of violence, learning to fight, to fly, to survive at all costs . Yes, Jyn is a soldier of the same sort as Cassian, and, knowing the fanaticism of Saw Gerrera, one suspects that she must have been forced to show herself often unforgiving. Then, inevitably, like our Rebel, Jyn also seeks in her new mission a form of redemption for all the reprehensible acts that she was able to commit in her youth.
Former Imperialists in the Rebel Alliance
We do not necessarily know that, but a large part of the members of the Rebel Alliance actually worked for the Empire . We remember the cases of Biggs and Wedge, who also made a discreet cameo in Star Wars: Rogue One , the two X-Wing drivers present in A New Hope. These two men initially integrated the Empire before deserting and joining the Rebel Alliance. The Star Wars inspired book Rogue One reveals that they are far from being isolated cases and that there are even recruiters to convince some Imperialists to desert. Cassian himself would have allowed to return several dozen soldiers of the Empire to make Rebels. In fact, it would seem that nearly half of the Rebel Alliance is made up of converted Imperials!
What did the Rebel Alliance of the Black Star really know?
When Star Wars: Rogue One begins, it is clear that the Rebel Alliance has only a very, very vague idea of what the Empire does and is not aware of the existence of the Black Star. It is enough to see the head that Cassian makes when his informant Tivek speaks to him for the first time of the ” planet killer ” to understand that the rebels were far from surrender of the threat. However, the Alliance is not unaware of the fact that things are not very clear. Simply because the information is fragmentary and often comes from Saw Gerrera – who is considered a dangerous fanatic out of control – she does not lend too much faith to what she hears. And then it must also be emphasized that not everyone sees the Emperor in the same eye! If some know that it is profoundly evil, others see it as … a mere corrupt politician and drunk with power , but not necessarily like a tyrant capable of exploding planets to assert his authority!
During the Battle of Scarif, Admiral Raddus demonstrated a certain military genius that allowed the Rebel Alliance to recover the Black Star’s plans. Using a Hammerhead shuttle to crash a Destroyer out of service on another Destroyer, all this to blow up the planet’s shield, you had to think about it! But what happened to the brave rebels on board the corvette? In the novel Rogue One, we learn from Star Wars Story that fortunately a large part of the crew manages to evacuate the ship, called Lightmaker (a very symbolic name!) Before it launches into its Suicide mission. Only then, his captain, named Kado Oquoné, stayed aboard with a few volunteers to operate the corvette. And they do not escape. In order to pay homage to them, Raddus swears then to give the name of the crew of the Lightmaker to his great-grandchildren. Provided he survives himself in battle! What do you think ?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: 5 secrets about the plot and the characters unveiled in the novel! first appeared on The Siver Times.

Star Wars: Rogue One tells the stolen plans of the Black Star, but it’s not just that! It also fills some scenario holes of the saga remained without explanation.
We love Star Wars , of course, but it must be admitted that the saga is characterized by some ” plot holes ” sometimes a little too convenient and have never been substantiated. Fortunately, spin-offs, in addition to exploring the past of certain characters or revisiting events, can also fill all those little scenic holes that left us perplexed until then. And at that level, Star Wars: Rogue One, which will soon have its own comprehensive guide , is rather good job! The film, whose starting point, remember, is still a small line in the scrolling text of Star Wars: A New Hope , tells us the heroic flight plans of the Star of Black … and also benefits To answer some questions that were asked about the weapon of the Empire. Like, for example, how he has been careless enough Empire as to leave this huge weakness in the heart of the Death Star , the risk just to see it explode? But it is not only this problem that he addresses! The editorial ‘of melty looks back on three elements of the saga that finally found an explanation or justification in Star Wars: Rogue One .
And so it starts obviously by this famous cooling system in which Luke manages to fire torpedoes, causing the complete collapse of the station. Fans of Star Wars are always a little fun of this element of the scenario a bit easier which is mainly there to allow the Rebel Alliance to win the battle. A sort of McGuffin a bit wobbly, in short. Moreover, at the time, George Lucas tended to justify his choice by declaring that the Empire was so sure of its power that it could not envisage that a single small vessel managed to destroy its combat station. But it must be believed that Gareth Edwards was part of these fans half convinced by this explanation. Result, it has solved the problem with the character of Galen .
In the book Catalyst , which represents a sort of prequel to Star Wars: Rogue One , one particular learns that the father of Jyn is actually a good and humble man, a scientist who specialized in the study of crystals kyber. And if he works first for Orson Krennic, it’s because he’s thinking of developing a renewable energy source for the entire galaxy. While at the same time, Krennic uses his research to create weapons. And it is when he realizes the intentions of the Empire that Galen decides to flee with his wife and daughter. Which leads us of course to this opening scene on Lah’mu, in which Lyra is assassinated and Galen is embarked by the Empire. As he says himself in Star Wars: Rogue One , Galen knows that the Empire would be quite able to complete the Death Star without him. He chose to obey orders and to continue its work on the arming station system … and take this opportunity to introduce this small almost indistinguishable flaw in its cooling system , so minimal that the Empire’s engineers spend beside. But enough to allow the Alliance to detonate the Black Star. And that’s how this massive ” plot hole ” is a more than satisfactory resolution Rogue One !
The other problem that the spin-off responds also has a link with the Black Star. Or rather with the second Death Star . And all is a matter here of time and delay. Because remember, the construction of the first Empire station begins when Palpatine takes power, well twenty years before Star Wars: A New Hope. But in Return of the Jedi , one sees one second Death Star whose construction is already well advanced. But how did the Empire manage to build it so quickly – it is estimated that four years elapsed between the Battle of Yavin and that of Endor – when it took more than twenty years for the first ?
In fact, it may be that, if the Empire has taken so long to finish the first Death Star, it’s simply because … could not find a sufficiently powerful energy source to power its laser beam . Now this energy, as we know now, is produced by the kyber crystals. And as Cassian suggests when he evokes the plundering of the Temple of Jedha in a conversation with Jyn, it is not so long since the Empire is so interested in crystals. So if the second Death Star is already almost complete in Return of the Jedi , it’s because deep down, realize its structure does not take so much time. And that four years are enough to finally build a good part of its bone! Unless of course the Empire began the making of this second Star even before the battle of Yavin. But one doubts, simply because keeping the secret about the presence of these two stations would have been a little mission impossible …
The third element that Star Wars: Rogue One is not really a problem. This is a huge nod fact fans, which however has the merit to justify a code name that one hears in Star Wars: A New Hope . Did you wonder why we were so interested in the Red 5 pilot, whose ship explodes under the fire of the TIE Hunters during the Battle of Scarif? Well, it’s simply because “Red 5″ reality becomes … the code name Luke in Episode IV when he joined the fleet of the Rebel Alliance . If he can take command of an X-Wing and integrate with the Red Squadron, it is also visibly because it has lost one of its pilots and the place is therefore free. In the same vein, we also know now why Luke squadron is called ” Rogue ” in The Empire against attack . This is probably a tribute to the team Jyn, who sacrificed to send the plans to the Death Star to the Rebel Alliance … And we must certainly thank Leia, whose presence on Scarif in Star Wars Rogue one has finally found an explanation for this!
The post Star Wars Rogue One: 3 questions raised by the saga solved in the film first appeared on The Siver Times.

Rogue One was an opportunity for fans to learn more about the events that shook the first episode and its characters. For those who do have not enough good news: a comprehensive guide around the film will soon be available . But unlike Leia, C-3PO or the Grand Moff Tarkin, there is a character in the first trilogy who misses the call. The editorial ‘of melty will obviously speak of the pilot X-Wing Wedge Antilles (Denis Lawson), an old friend of Luke who is committed to the Rebel Alliance long before our hero crosses paths with Obi- Wan Kenobi. So, we would expect that the character makes an appearance in the film, as was the case with Red and Gold leaders who establish a direct link between Star Wars: Rogue One and Episode IV . But if Wedge does not point the tip of his nose, it is for two good reasons. Already because in A New Hope, it is clearly horrified by the size of the Death Star and exclaims elsewhere on this: ” ! Look at the size of that thing ,” proving that it was still Never seen the weapon of the Empire. So for consistency, Wedge could not participate in the battle of Scarif . And then there is another reason, more practical one, as we reveal Pablo Hidalgo, author at Lucasfilm . There simply were not enough unused images of A New Hope to allow Wedge to make a fleshy cameo.
Pablo Hidalgo said on Twitter: ” The amount of available sequences has also been a factor George has not turned so many unused scenes from Star Wars, as can be seen by mounting. ..” But be careful, this does not mean that Wedge is not present in the film, on the contrary! His cameo is however so fast and so is lost in action the moment, as that of Gareth Edward, director of Star Wars: Rogue One , it goes unnoticed. In reality, if we do not see Wedge in the film, one can however … listen ! Because yes, the character gives voice in a particular scene And this is where all the pilots of the Alliance still present on Yavin rush to their ships to launch to the assault of Scarif. This is Wedge effect you hear in the background and ordering pilots to prepare to attack the planet . The information comes directly from the sound editor Matthew Wood, who also revealed that it is David Ankrum, which already doubled Wedge Antilles in Star Wars: A New Hope (yes, we know, it’s very, very strange! ) Who pronounces this little phrase, taking again a role that he had not had the opportunity to play for forty years! So yes, in the end, the courageous Wedge Antilles has also, in its way, right to his cameo in Star Wars: Rogue One . Have you noticed this cameo?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: The Cameo of Wedge Antilles that you have not noticed! first appeared on The Siver Times.

Books, video games and comics have unceasingly expanded his universe, evoking the past or the future of most characters, creating even more protagonists almost as famous today as Han or Luke. And Disney, having redeemed LucasFilm and all his properties, has of course taken the torch, throwing to the nettles the whole extended universe thought so far to create his own. While it is obviously not surprising that the first spin-off of the franchise, as The Force Wake before it gives rise to a plethora of spin stories! And they promise to land both in the form of comics, like the one to unveil the deleted scenes from Star Wars: Rogue One , that in the novels …! And it is precisely this second category that interests us today. Because imagine, the meltynauts, that two protagonists of the film will have right to their prequel. Obviously, you will certainly have guessed, the two heroes in question are none other than Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen) and Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen), the favorite duo of fans .
According to the official site of Star Wars , we know in fact that a novel called ” Guardians of the Whills ” is planned and will be written by Greg Rucka, fans of DC Comics are very familiar with his work for the publishing house. As its title indicates, this novel should explore youth Chirrut and Baze , the time they enter the mysterious Guardians Whills until the takeover by the Emperor forces to come into resistance. And we can say right away, this kind of story should satisfy the most curious! It must be admitted, Chirrut and Baze (well, mostly Chirrut) are two rather mysterious character whose past is evoked by bit , which, obviously, makes us want to learn more. Especially since, according to the title, one should learn about the famous Guardians of the Whills, their philosophy, their training and their links with the Jedi order. At least, we hope so! The novel in question is due out in May, but it will be a little patient before discovering more about them and their past. They will, however, not the only ones to benefit from this treatment as another book called ” Rebel Rising ” should explore the past of Jyn when it was still part of the group of Saw Guerrera. Meanwhile, here are 4 things you never knew about Chirrut in Star Wars: Rogue One . Which character of the film do you prefer?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: The past of two characters soon explored in a book first appeared on The Siver Times.

Rogue One well be a standalone movie , a spin-off that does not call or prequel or sequel, the fact is that it is inextricably linked to the history of our favorite intergalactic saga. Already, because it tells the flight plans of the Death Star and fills some holes in the story of Star Wars: A New Hope – the kind, how the Empire he could miss this huge Fault in the construction of his weapon of destruction? – while showing us how desperate the struggle against the enemy is. Then because Star Wars: Rogue One is full of tasty cameos , some highly anticipated, such as Darth Vader, and other, much more surprising. And then of course, the editorial ‘of melty think especially this final scene in which we rediscover a young Leia fleeing battle with the famous Scarif plans pocket . But how did the princess find herself in the midst of this particularly dangerous encounter (we shall go so far as to say suicidal)? Pablo Hidalgo, from LucasFilm, who gives us the answer to this question.
During a visit in the last episode of the Star Wars Shows , author and executive creator Lucasfilm has indeed offered some guidance on this. He says: ” According to the plan, Leia had to go to Tatooine to recover Obi-Wan and Raddus was escorting Then the news about what was going on Scarif arrived and they felt it was more important. … because they then had the only battleship available . “. And there you have it! One actually remembers the scene between Bail Organa and Mon Mothma in which the leader of Alderaan implies that he wants to send his daughter to look for the Jedi. And if Jyn Erso and his team did not sow chaos on Scarif, Leia would have continued on her way with Admiral Raddus towards Tatooine where she would have released Obi-Wan from her forced exile. But it was without counting the combative spirit of Jyn … and the Admiral himself, who threw himself headlong into the battle and dragged the crew of Tantive IV with him! In the end, the initiative will Raddus made the best decision as it will permit flight plans of the Death Star . And Leia, thanks to C-3PO and R2-D2, still managed to fulfill his mission and get Obi-Wan’s help. Anyway, the cameo Leia in Star Wars: Rogue One, Carrie Fisher herself loved , makes perfect link between the spin-off and Episode IV! What did you think of Leia’s cameo?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: Why is Leia on Scarif? first appeared on The Siver Times.

Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen) is one of the most fascinating characters in Star Wars: Rogue One. Here are 4 details about the character you may not know!
Star Wars: Rogue One, which perhaps puts certainly not all his heroines in value , still has many strengths, its characters are not insignificant. Whether Jyn Erso, our badass and determined heroine, Captain Cassian Andor and the somewhat cloudy moral zone in which he evolves or K-2SO and his tendency to swing everything that passes through his head, can not fail To attach themselves to them! Yet in the group, there is one in particular that fascinates us more than others, especially because of the mystery that surrounds it. The editorial ‘of melty obviously wants to talk Chirrut Îmwe, the warrior monk played by Donnie Yen which is also able to face Stormtroopers using a stick as a TIE fighter explode crossbow ( wtf ?). We do not know much about this character, except that he is not a Jedi but that he has an acute awareness of the Force and its movements and that his faith in it is Unshakeable. Fortunately, we can count on the art book ” Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide ” for us to learn a little more about the history of Chirrut but also its very creation . So here are 4 details that you certainly did not know about the character!
He is a Guardian of the Whills
It is Cassian who reveals this little piece of information when Jyn crosses for the first time Chirrut in the streets of the city of Jedha. But it does not help us much. Because a Guardian of Whills, kesako? To find out, we have to go back a long way, at a time when George Lucas was still looking for the right angle to tell his intergalactic story. Originally, the Whills were designed by the director to be equivalent to the Force , immortal beings responsible for recording the history of the galaxy. They almost reappeared in Star Wars: The Attack of the Clones, where they should have been mentioned as having taught Qui-Gon Jin to become one with the Force after his death. But in Star Wars: Rogue One , the Guardians of Whills an ancient order of warriors inextricably linked to the Jedi and responsible for protecting the Temple of Whills the city of Jedha kyber and crystals present inside. Until the day when the Jedi having disappeared and the Empire having spread its dominion everywhere, the Guardians of the Whills are expelled from the temple. And that’s how Chirrut and his companion Baze find themselves in the street, forced to play the soothsayer to earn enough to survive.
He mastered a very precise martial art
It must be admitted, Chirrut is an exceptional warrior, even Donnie Yen wanted to make a blind character in Star Wars: Rogue One ! He spent his life training both physically and mentally, which makes him extremely formidable. But what we know is that he practices a martial art called … zama-Shiwo . ” Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide ” teaches us that the zama-Shiwo involves being fully aware of his body – the muscles that move the heart and breathing rates and all internal functions. A master of the zama-shiwo would then be able to slow down the beating of his heart at will and to realize almost supernatural movements. But above all, a Zama-shiwo disciple also has an acute awareness of the environment and other creatures around him. Which explains why Chirrut has such an elaborate hearing and why he seems to possess a sixth unerring sense!
Baze and he have a complicated long relationship
If Chirrut and Baze sometimes make us think of an old couple, it is because they know each other very, very long! They worked together as Guardians of the Whills – Baze had even been according to Chirrut one of the most devoted Guardians, before something made him change. But what we did not know is that the two men, who consider themselves brothers had a dispute years ago and parted on bad terms . Before of course to rabibocher, in spite of their different approach of the Force. Originally, Chirrut was to represent an almost paternal figure for Baze, especially in his way of perceiving the Force. There is however a bit of this characteristic in the film, especially in the final scene of Baze when it resumes the mantra of Chirrut to face the Troopers of elite that fall on to him.
He has a connection with the Rebel Alliance
We know thanks to a recent information that Chirrut door crystal kyber his stick in Star Wars: Rogue One and is using it to locate the tip of his weapon. But what we did not know was that he has another symbolic object: a pendant of Jedha . But beware, this one is very special! Because as we reveal ” Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide “, it is shaped like a mythical bird … which was taken as a symbol by the Rebel Alliance ! You know, this little three-pointed logo seen everywhere, on the helmets of the pilots and on the uniforms of the officers? For Chirrut, this pendant is supposed to represent his devotion to the Order of the Whill Guardians. Like what the Force, the Alliance, the Whills … everything is bound and Chirrut was destined to join the ranks of the rebels! What is your favorite character in Star Wars: Rogue One?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: 4 Things You Did not Know About Chirrut (Donnie Yen) first appeared on The Siver Times.

The Force Clock and Rogue One have shown, it’s not just men who can kick ass super villains of the galaxy far, far away. With Rey and Jyn Erso (which we now know where does the name in Star Wars Rogue One) , the last two films of the franchise we have offered powerful heroines and far from having a smooth personality. Girl Power ! Except that, maybe not so much in the end. A recent study of Rogue One , supported by Europe Newsweek says that as badass as are the female recruits of the saga, they would be in the minority when it comes to talking to the screen. This is the scientific Amber Thomas embarked on a thorough study of the dialogues of Rogue One , concluding that all the women present on the screen pronounced in total … 27% of the dialogues . Oops, we know one that it’s going to fire up.
So, of course, we are already super happy to see that women weigh in the game Star Wars (and this is not what GIF Jyn Erso combat that will tell us otherwise). When it was released, the film was applauded for its feminist dimension and the power it gave to her heroine. But the survey figures recall that there is still some work to the team at work behind the blockbuster: a total of 9% of the characters are women, droids and aliens included. Taken together, Jyn, Mothma and Leia Organa accumulate 17% of the dialog Rogue One . Well, in the case of Leia Organa is rather logical: it appears that a minute during a cameo, Carrie Fisher confided besides worshiping in Star Wars Rogue One before his disappearance. Where it is more surprising, it is on Jyn Erso’s side! That said, let us not forget that what may be more important is the quality and not the quantity of the words spoken by the characters. And if we had remembered best final of the relevant sentences heroines Rogue One ? In your opinion, should the Star Wars franchise put even more emphasis on its heroines?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: Does the film make enough of its heroines? first appeared on The Siver Times.

It’s been thirty years since Donnie Yen makes films, thirty years that he spent half turning to Hollywood. But, it must be admitted, unless he is a fan of martial arts movies (or Highlander), his face still remains unfamiliar. Finally, ” remained ” one should say. Because in one month, the actor and martial arts expert is found showing two huge American feature films: xXx: Reactivated, that just came out today , playing the role of alpha warrior Xiang and Star Wars: Rogue One , in which he played the warrior monk Chirrut Îmwe. And between the two, you are told that our heart is swinging. Let’s face it , he fight with a stick or he confronts his enemies with bare hands, Donnie Yen has a crazy class! But suddenly, in melty, one wonders. Of Xiang or Chirrut, which would ultimately win over the other? Not easy to answer this question. But hey, that does not stop us from trying anyway!
Chirrut clearly has what it takes to emerge as the most character badass . Already because it is able to flank a thrashing to a group of Stormtroopers with a simple stick – and while being blind. Then his faith in the Force is so powerful that he can face all situations with the utmost calm. We all remember this scene where he crosses the battlefield of Scarif while he is being targeted by blaster shots, right? Moreover, it does not fold, to Donnie Yen, if Chirrut faced Darth Vader in Star Wars: Rogue One, he would win . You will understand, this former Guardian of the Whills is a formidable warrior. But not only ! Because he has a deep wisdom that allows him to gauge people, which does not make it a bore of first. On the contrary, Chirrut is a character who knows how to be humorous, if only in his interaction with Baze Malbius, with whom, it must be admitted, he forms a sort of old couple. In short, Chirrut has it all . And in addition, he always looks cool in dress and, just for that, we would give him the first place!
Except that Xiang is a formidable competitor! You saw him demolish these soldiers with fists and feet in the trailers of the film? And without seeming to make the slightest effort? But the worst part is that besides being an outstanding fighter, a highly trained warrior, Xiang does not feel as the big bad they want us to believe! His motivations are unclear but, as he himself says in the trailer, he is ready to die to save the world. And this kind of statement, it has still enough to impress us. Besides Xiang has a rival as talented as him in xXx: Reactivated: Xander Cage (Vin Diesel), which is itself already stronger than Dom Fast and Furious. If the two characters are alike in more ways than one, they are also elbow-to-elbow in regards to love of risk and crazy cascades. In short, more badass than Xiang, does not exist. Or almost. Because even though it is conquered by his power and agility, he has not this little mysterious side that characterizes Chirrut Îmwe and that makes it even more fascinating . But, in between, the choice is clearly difficult! And for you, which one is the most badass?
The post XXx Reactivated: Donnie Yen, Xiang vs Chirrut (Rogue One), which is the most badass? first appeared on The Siver Times.

One of the two scenes of Dark Vader was almost not in the final version of Star Wars: Rogue One. And considering its impact, it would have been a shame!
Ah, this story of reshoots , it has spilled, ink! Who has not felt a little uneasy on hearing that Star Wars: Rogue One had need additional filming sessions, suggesting that the film was not good enough. In the end, it turned out that these new scenes simply had to make it possible to modify the end and … to sacrifice all the characters of the group of Jyn Erso. Which in itself, even if it’s quite tragic, something quite logical considering the situation and what happens next in Star Wars: A New Hope . What we thus proving that Star Wars: Rogue One could have been a film quite different . But did you know that our heroes are not the only ones involved in these reshoots? Because there is another character, less important in the plot of the film but who is an emblematic figure of the saga, who had the chance to shoot another scene that was not originally planned at all. And it’s obviously Dark Vador whose melty editorial wants to talk! Imagine indeed the final sequence of the character, one in which he massacres the rebels addressing the flagship and that left us glued to our seat , speechless and terrified, almost did not in the movie!
She actually added when the team returned to turn these famous new scenes, as revealed John Gilroy, editor of Star Wars: Rogue One . He told the site Yahoo! Movies: ” What we’ve added – and this is an absolutely fantastic addition – this is the action scene with Vader, when he embarked on the ship and he destroy all the rebels We created a scene. later . “. ” Absolutely fantastic” , so to say! The final sequence of the character is a terrible brutality and shows Vader in all its most violent and terrifying . For it is revealed here in its true light, namely a machine of war implacable, capable of splitting men in two while maintaining an icy calm. This is one aspect of the character that was suspected without ever having actually seen it expressed in the first trilogy.
The moment when it illuminates the dark corridor of the ship by activating his lightsaber has necessarily spun to all the shivers! Besides this scene allows for the direct link to the first scene of Star Wars: A New Hope . We do not hide from you that we are surprised to learn that this notable moment of the film was not planned from the start, so it is incredible. Much as the other key scene from Star Wars: Rogue One who shows us yet Darth Vader in a completely new situation. Finally, the team of the film has done more than well to turn new sequences. For it would still have been a pity to deprive yourself of this final moment as cool as it is chilling! What did you think of this scene?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: The scene with Dark Vader who almost did not be in the movie first appeared on The Siver Times.

Why is the main character of Star Wars: Rogue One a woman and why is her name Jyn? As you will see, the reason is far from trivial!

After Star Wars: The Force Alarm , it’s the turn of Star Wars: Rogue One upgrade to a woman as a main character. And what a woman! Jyn Erso is clearly not used to letting oneself walk on her feet and she does not hesitate to plunge headlong into the worst dangers if the situation requires it. It must be said that after being raised by this fanatical warrior of Saw Guerrera, our heroine is rather adorned to face the ordeals. So, there is not much wrong with falling in love with this young woman fired character who ends up joining the Rebel Alliance to honor the memory and sacrifice of his father . And remains moreover very intriguing since it is unclear who Jyn was before fighting for the rebels in Star Wars: Rogue One . Fortunately, we can count on the team of the film to reveal us little by little some details about the character. And today is John Knoll, in charge of special effects at Industrial Light and Magic , which reveals information about Jyn, to find out where the character and how he found his name !
John Knoll, who first submitted to Kathleen Kennedy the idea of telling the theft of the Black Star’s plans in the spin-off, also contributed to the creation of Jyn. For the name, it was inspired by … the women in his life ! He tells so to Yahoo! Movies: ” I wanted the main character of the film is an intelligent, strong and active I have three daughters who are growing and who were very young when I started working on the film I felt.. That one could really use another female character strong and determined for Star Wars.My youngest girl is called Jane and my wife, Jen, so [Jyn] is a bit the result of a mash-up between the two . And when I was a child, I called my aunt Ginny, [a nickname] to Virginia, so there’s a bit of that in the name too. it’s a mixture of all the women in my life . “. Like what, the meltynauts, do not necessarily look far to find inspiration! In any case John Knoll that we must Jyn Erso the existence and the fact that the main character of Star Wars: Rogue One is a woman. On the other hand, he does not tell us anything about his last name. Anyway, Jyn Erso, which is found in the company of Cassian on images deleted scenes from Star Wars: Rogue One , has quite found its place in the universe of the saga! What did you think of Jyn Erso?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: Jyn Erso, where does his name come from? first appeared on The Siver Times.

Many scenes from Star Wars: Rogue One, seen in the trailers, were removed at the final editing of the film. And some are revealed today thanks to images!

It is not going to lie, before Star Wars: Rogue One does so in film and became one of the biggest financial success of 2016, the film gave us a cold sweat. In question, the famous stages of reshooting and new scenes shot while the film was already in the editing room. At the time, it was thought that something was wrong with the plot, the tone or even the characters themselves. In the end, it turns out that these sequences have helped change … the end of Star Wars: Rogue One, which has very nearly ended differently . And that is why some images seen in the first trailers do not finally appear in the final version of the film! You know, like the one where we see Jyn running on the beach Scarif, plans for the Death Star in hand . Well, we do not know if there will ever be an opportunity to discover the scenes that were first shot first before being deleted. But at least we can now, thanks to Disney and Lucasfilm , some photos directly from these sequences!
And yes, there are certainly not many, these photos that were first unveiled on the site / Film. But at least they give us a glimpse of what could have been! The one on which Jyn is seen in the company of a relaxed and smiling Cassian makes us warm in the heart. As for the plans of the Black Star, they are quietly placed on Jyn’s sack. The picture is proof that our two heroes were originally supposed to survive their suicide mission before Gareth Edwards changes his mind. And we can even see the feet of Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen), the somewhat skeptical partner of Chirrut! He, too, had to come out alive, just as visibly as K-2SO. The presence of Alan Tudyk in combination of motion capture on a picture of the backstage where one sees the beach seems to at least attest.
On another image, we find of course Orson Krennic, a blaster in his hand while he stands in what looks like an imperial base. At melty, it could be imagined that this scene could have taken place in one of the Empire’s super-destroyers, in a confrontation between Krennic and Tarkin, who tries by every possible means to oust him and take his place in As commander of the Black Star. But this is obviously only a supposition! As one where we see Jyn, she should probably take place in the corridors of the headquarters of the Rebel Alliance . She holds her Kyber crystal in her hand, which suggests that she may be wondering about her motives or what she should do to help the rebels. In short, even with these images, it is clear that Star Wars: Rogue One could have been a movie very, very different ! Would you like to see these scenes in the movie?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: Jyn and Cassian on images of deleted scenes first appeared on The Siver Times.

With the spinoff titled Star Wars Rogue One , the writers were able to expand this vast universe created by George Lucas in 77 while creating a strong character Jyn Erso. This member of the Rebels, played by Felicity Jones, has a huge background that could, why not be even more developed in comics or novels around the character ahead of events Rogue One . There are few, ScreenRant was lucky during an event dedicated to the press about Star Wars Rogue One, which could be as big a financial success that The Force Alarm , ask a question Felicity Jones about Jyn Erso’s past . His answer should please you.
“I spend a lot of time thinking about it, I think Jyn is very lonely, she was a little delinquent, she had to grow up without her parents, she had to survive on her own, her only mentor was Saw Gerrera, Can see in the opening of Rogue One.It was her guide, both spiritual and emotional, but that did not stop Jyn from learning life on her own.It is a woman on the defensive in a way. There was a lot of fight in it . “. Confidences which lay the foundations of what could be the past of the heroine of Star Wars Rogue One, who nearly had a different ending . That of a strong character, which had to be built alone to become what it is today. What do you think ?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: Who was Jyn Erso before the rebellion? first appeared on The Siver Times.

In one pretty crazy scene, the character of Donnie Yen is needed immediately as one of the heroes badass of Star Wars: Rogue One. Besides it is, with Jyn who may be using the Force unknowingly in the film, LE connection to the mystical energy that flows through the galaxy far, far away. Former Guardian Whills, protectors of the Jedi Temple Jedha, the spiritual warrior part in the fighting at the sound of his mantra ” The Force is with me, I am one with the Force .” And we must believe that it works as Chirrut passes through enemy fire and explodes the vessels even at the height of the battle . But what he forgot to tell us was that he was relying on a very useful help. A new hidden detail on the character comes to be unveiled and it sheds new light on his exploits!
Because just imagine, the meltynautes, that Chirrut has also … a crystal kyber as Jyn ! This one is actually in his stick, as revealed by Pablo Hidalgo in the art book ” Star Wars Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide “. The author tells about the crystal kyber: ” Conceived as a symbolic source of inner illumination, it also allows Chirrut better assess where the tip of his stick as it is located can hear both the vibrations of energy and harmonic crystal . “. This explains how he knows precisely where to swing his stick. Coupled with his over-developed hearing, the kyber crystal makes him an extraordinary warrior! So much so that you want (almost) believe Donnie Yen when he says that Chirrut could defeat Darth Vader in Star Wars: Rogue One . But above all, one understands better how the character guesses at once, without knowing it, that Jyn carries a necklace also constituted a crystal kyber. The two crystals may therefore have entered resonance. Anyway, this new little detail again raises the question of the mystic connection that exists between the Force and the kyber crystals, also used to create the Jedi swords! What did you think of the character of Chirrut?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: A hidden detail on Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen) unveiled! first appeared on The Siver Times.

History of celebrating as it should the end of the year, we offer you a small list of the most wtf movie replicas of 2016. To tell you we had enough to do!
2016 was a year full of striking films! Between those who have brought us new superhero Deadpool, Stephen Strange or the wicked of Suicide Squad , the successful return of the Harry Potter universe and the arrival of a spin-off of Star Wars almost more exciting than The first part of the new trilogy, there was clearly for all tastes! And of course, it will not have taken long for certain replicas of these films to become cult. Let them make us laugh, whether they draw us tears or leave us in shock, besides. But right now, as the end of the year, the editorial ‘of melty rather wanted to make you a small selection of replicas … most WTF 2016 . We do not hide from you that the choice was not obvious! Funny, scary or just absurd, here are 10 little sentences that made us happy in the dark rooms.
Dead Pool
Deadpool is definitely the craziest film and the craziest of 2016. So basically, find THE most WTF replica is somewhat impossible task! Between the gates he scales to his two allies, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, or the dialogues he addresses to us, difficult to make a choice. So, we opted for a little phrase he told Vanessa: ” If we do not review, know that I love you .” It’s cute, it’s sweet, it’s cabbage and … after the insanities torrents Wade Wilson dropped throughout the film, it leaves us speechless!
Batman vs Superman
Between Batman and Superman, this is not frankly crazy love. It would be quite the contrary! The two headliners of DC Comics are eager to beat each other and it feels. But sometimes it’ll still a little too far . You know, like when Batman threatens the Kryptonian with this chilling replica we heard in the first teaser: ” Tell me, sometimes bleeding It will come to you? ..” Wow, there’s one that’s downright venerable. And, uh, if not, you do not want to talk about it? History to avoid (big) collateral damage?
10 Cloverfield Lane
Howard (John Goodman) was perhaps prepared at the end of the world, but it is far from healthy of mindHoward (John Goodman) may have been prepared for the end of the world, but he is far from being sane. We spend three quarters of 10 Cloverfield Lane waiting for the next explosion while tensions rise in the bunker where he locked up with Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Emmett (John Gallagher, Jr.). And when it comes, we curl up on ourselves. Like when he starts screaming for the other two: ” I know what I see while you prepare what you do I watch you all the time!!! “. Ah, they were just playing riddles … Energized, they tell you!
The Nice Guys
The Nice Guys (Shane Black), it goes in the 1970s and it looks like an acid trip. Moreover, Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) and Holland March (Ryan Gosling) always look constantly next to their pumps. Finally, especially the second. So in the end, when he says no one was injured as he and his friend left a trail of corpses behind them and it swings nonchalantly: ” What I mean, it ‘ is that they died quickly. So I do not think they were wrong “, it is not really surprised. But still, the guy would do better to stop the alcohol!
The Dory World
In the unforgettable World Dory , there are of course our blue fish to the troubles of the immediate memory, which goes in search of his parents. And as it is Dory, she fails in a maritime park (obviously) where someone makes a cameo that was really not expected. That someone is Sigourney Weaver! And there, one can not believe, especially the actress appears on the name. But the most crazy is when Dory herself exclaims, ” Sigourney Weaver is going to come save us! “. And there, suddenly, one imagines Sigourney land in full fashion Ellen Ripley and knock out anything that moves. Not really kids friendly …
Ghostbusters
In Ghostbusters , there are our four ghost hunters, Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) being the queen of the valve slamming. And then there’s Kevin ( Chris Hemsworth ). Is the most idiot secretary and low forehead experience ever . As a result, he is entitled to the honors of a quotation. In fact, if you think about it, all of its replicas are, to some degree, completely WTF. But his dog story called Mike Hat is the tassel. When he says, ” Oh, I have no cat I have a dog His name is My Cat.. .,” We share the perplexity of our three heroines Genre “. Wtf is he talking about? “.
Suicide Squad
Well, they’re all crazy in Suicide Squad . But Harley (Margot Robbie) is certainly the most siphoned of all (finally, ex aequo with the Enchantress). One never knows if she jokes or is serious, which tends to put her companions all the more uncomfortable. And we with it. Especially when it balance: ” What, what there I have to kill everyone and escape Sorry, these voices No, just kidding, they have not really said that?.! . “. Okaaaayy … We know one who has spent too much time with the Joker !
Doctor Strange
Wong, the bookseller taciturn Kamar-Taj in Doctor Strange . And it is (almost) impermeable to the charm of Stephen Strange whose humor, admit it, only makes him laugh himself. But the Supreme Wizard still raises an interesting point when he evokes the unknown surname of Wong. And there was a right to one of the most memorable replicas of the film ” Wong Wong Just as Aristotle Or Adele, Drake, Bono, Eminem.??? “. Clearly, Stephen Strange is a knowledgeable music lover. But he could have added Beyonce to his litany, since Wong is clearly a fan of the singer!
The Fantastic Animals
In the category Muggle friendly, Jacob of Fantastic Beasts, which marks the successful return to the world of JK Rowling , easily ranks first. It’s simple, the guy is as amazed as us by what he sees . On the other hand, when he tries to make believe that he belongs to this world for a long time, he crashes a little. No, because assert the tenant of the Pig Blind, the sleazy bar where Newt and his group are looking for information that ” [he] love the house elves. [His] uncle is a house elf .”, It’s a little To make us raise our eyebrows. Especially when the tenant himself is an elf of house to which one does not do it!
Star Wars: Rogue One
And we can not end this little anthology evokes the famous scene of Star Wars: Rogue One that takes place in the castle of Darth Vader . Faced with the despicable Orson Krennic, the Black Lord uses his favorite method to make himself obeyed. Either strangle with the Force this subject which makes him lose his time . And tell him, just to add a layer and flank him well the jitters: ” Be careful not to choke you when you breathe, Director. “. Well, there, if Orson Krennic did not understand that they can never be buddies, we do not know too much what it needs more! What replicas of this year have you preferred?
The post Star Wars, Suicide Squad, Deadpool … The most WTF replicas of 2016! first appeared on The Siver Times.

Indeed, Chirrut (Donnie Yen) believes deeply in the Force, repeating the same mantra from the beginning to the end of the story, a mantra that even allows him to avoid the Stormtroopers’ shots (which are still aiming badly). But he is the only one to testify to the existence of the mystical energy that watches over the order of the galaxy. Unless … Because you do not know but perhaps a Star Wars: Rogue One was nearly a Jedi , and that character is none other than Lyra Erso, the mother of our heroine. Suddenly, when we learn this, we come to see Jyn in a different light. What if the young woman was finally sensitive to the Force? You think we’re delirious, at melty’s? And yet! In reality, there is a stage and an element of the film that could well prove Jyn has the ability unknowingly use the Force … Warning, spoilers, obviously.
Star wars rogue one, crystal kyber, force, necklace, jyn erso
Does crystal allow Jyn to channel the Force?
Remember this scene at the beginning of the film, while the family of Galen gets the visit of Krennic and is about to flee. Lyra provides the time her daughter a necklace containing a crystal kyber saying: ” Trust in the Force .”. His mother therefore believes deeply in the Force, at a time when it seems to have disappeared and is no longer considered as a bunch of nonsense for gullible people. That, in itself, is already surprising. What surprises us most too, is that Lyra has in his possession a kyber crystal , they used as you know to build laser-swords Jedi. And this necklace will make appearances throughout the Star Wars: Rogue One and at times not quite innocuous.
The first occurs when Jyn is out with Cassian and K 2 SO (which is also great in Rogue One R2 and C-3PO in the rest of the Star Wars saga) to join Jedha. She has a dream where she remembers a scene that took place when she was little between her father, mother and Galen. And her reflex, when she wakes up, is to grab her collar. Who tells us that this dream is not ultimately induced by the kyber crystal and the Force? Do you think the idea is a bit capillotract? However, Chirrut itself proves that Jyn has a special relationship with the Force . While meeting her for the first time on Jedha, he immediately establishes a connection with her and immediately guesses the presence of the kyber crystal. What prompts us to ask ourselves a few questions, all the same! Not to mention that the next appearance of the necklace may have a hidden meaning …
When our heroes arrive at Scarif, Bodhi Rook ( Riz Ahmed ) communicates the number of the imperial shuttle, hoping to cross the shield that surrounds the planet. And we can see Jyn squeezing his neck very hard, praying certainly for the imperial officers to let them pass. This moment of tension is followed by a moment of triumph when the ship of Jyn and his rebel companions is allowed to pass. So, of course, this authorization can be explained by the fact that the imperial code is still valid. But, and if Jyn was actually responsible for this success? Because it is likely that without the knowledge and purely instinctive way, our heroine is simply … influenced the spirit of Imperial communications officer to let them pass ! Of course, this would indicate a rather extraordinary power on the part of Jyn, who has never been in contact with a Jedi. But we saw what was capable Rey in The Force Wake from the time it begins to believe in the Force, precisely.
So of course, this is not irrefutable proof that Jyn knows how to use the Force, far from it. But there is almost no doubt that the mystical energy is well with our rebels! In spite of all the obstacles, the chances of extremely low successes – as K-2SO constantly points out – and everything that could go wrong at any moment, it is none the less true that our heroes succeed in putting Hand on the plans of the Black Star. It is therefore easy to believe that our Rebels are guided and protected by the Force, which in no way detracts from the strength of their courage, their determination and the importance of their sacrifice. Whether or not Jyn is sensitive to the Force, the question may remain unanswered for a long time. Anyway, we still really want to believe it, if only because it would establish another link between Jyn Star Wars: Rogue One and Luke , our favorite Jedi! Do you think Jyn is using Force in the film?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: Does Jyn use Force in the movie? first appeared on The Siver Times.

Seriously? Is that possible? “. That’s us at the time of the announcement of the start of construction of Star Wars: Rogue One . And now that the movie is released on our screens, we know that, yes, a Star Wars without Skywalker and without the Force, it is possible. And that it is even hyper cool. For Rogue One is totally different from other films of our favorite intergalactic saga but extends its universe intelligently and with a tone that we immediately conquered , even if it is darker than anything we could See until now. That heroes are ultimately ordinary people who only succeed in their mission by their courage without having the advantage of resting on the Force, only makes them more endearing. So much so that some of us would have hoped that the end of Star Wars: Rogue One is different … Except that in fact a mystical element has almost become embedded in the plot of the movie ! Imagine, the meltynautes, in a first version of the script Rogue One , a Jedi would indeed make an appearance! Attention, SPOILERS!
Well, we notify you immediately, it was not Yoda or Obi-Wan, who is still mentioned in Star Wars: Rogue One, which earned him a place alongside the best cameos of the film . No, originally, the Jedi in question that was to appear was actually linked to Jyn Erso, our heroine. And for good reason, it was his mother! Chris Weitz, the writer of Rogue One and accurately in the art book ” The Art of Rogue One: A Story Star Wars “: ” For a time, the Jedi were to be part of the background of the story, even if they Jyn’s mother was a Jedi, but we thought it would be more interesting to have a story without the Force and without a saber-laser. The despair exists because the Jedi have disappeared and with them, for some, the very memory of the Force, which meant that our story was concentrated on normal characters who resisted on their own . “.
Well, that’s sure it’s funny but we see where the writer is coming from. However, we understand why Lyra Erso ( Valene Kane ) believes it deeply into the Force – which also surprised us, the Force is considered by many as a ” lousy trick ” at the time (huh, Han ?) – and why it has in its possession a kyber crystal , they used to shape the laser-swords Jedi. Maybe even the one that Jyn’s mother would have liked to use to create her weapon, who knows … Anyway, Lyra being condemned to die quickly, she probably would not have had one Great impact on the plot of Rogue One. And she could not have helped her daughter and her companions to steal the plans of the Black Star. So in the end it may be more interesting to see her as a character who knew how to keep faith in the Force in spite of hardships and who could pass on some of her beliefs to Jyn. And there is no doubt that these help our heroine to pass through the trials that stand in her way! Would you like to see Jedi in the movie?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: A character in the movie was almost a Jedi! first appeared on The Siver Times.

K-2SO is the new droid of the Star Wars saga, introduced in Rogue One. So, between C-3PO, R2-D2 and him, which one is best? Warning, spoilers!
Ah, here’s a situation that should not please C-3PO! For a long time (decades actually), our favorite intergalactic diva and her little reckless constant companion, R2-D2 droids remained the only stars of Star Wars . And in just two years, two other robots have come to compete with them! First there was the adorable and mischievous BB-8, the mascot of the new trilogy. And then it’s K-2 SO (Alan Tudyk), who arrived from nowhere in Star Wars: Rogue One and, suddenly, makes them shade . For it must be admitted that the droid, with his way of saying without filter or make up what he thinks, did not take long to conquer us. So, R2 and 3PO, who still took the time to do a cameo in Star Wars: Rogue One , may have some reason to worry. If we do not go so far as to say that K-2SO completely steals the show (should not push anyway), the fact that it has some trumps that make it as cool as our other two droids stars.
It must be admitted, K-2SO is rather unique in its kind! If it is as pessimistic as 3PO – and that’s a feat in itself – and as brave as R2, it is above all … very sarcastic ! Sometimes even more than Han itself, which is not much to say. What makes K-2 SO comic element of Star Wars: Rogue One , his black humor and cynical sticking well to the dark atmosphere and the harsh tone of the film. Whether he gives the probability of success rate of a mission (often not high, you will have noticed) or his somewhat adversarial relationship with Jyn, the droid is certainly the best punchline of the whole movie. We remember very well the first remark he made to our heroine after having knocked out: ” Congratulations on being rescued Do not resist.. .” Here is a cold statement that clearly announces the color of the character!
If there is a time believed that K-2 SO would endanger Jyn and other rebels in Star Wars: Rogue One , partly because it is, after all, an old droid of the Empire, it is ultimately also Loyal than trustworthy, Cassian and him maintaining a little the same kind of relationship as Han and Chewbacca. Moreover, the fans were not mistaken and immediately adopted Kaytoo and his sense of humor a little particular. ” K-2 SO is by far my favorite Star Wars droid! Sorry, R2 .”, Says even a user on Twitter. K 2 SO-LA is a little revelation of Star Wars: Rogue One , combining good replicas sassy as we like and nobility and strength of character. And he shall say (almost) famous classic replica of the saga: “I have a bad feeling .”. Before Cassian asked him to close his clapper … So where could it be if we decided to establish a top 3 with R2 and 3PO as competitors?
After careful consideration, melty says that K 2 SO could take … second place, just ahead of R2-D2 ! Because it must be admitted – and even if the choice is difficult – R2 has a slight disadvantage compared to the other two: we do not understand! His ” beeps ” are certainly very excited explicit but the meaning of his speech remains rather obscure for us if C-3PO and Luke are not there to translate. Which does not prevent us from worshiping the little droid with all our heart. As for C-3PO, he can only occupy the first place (and no doubt he is delighted) simply because it is THE comic Star Wars raised from day one . He complains very much, of course, it can be annoying too, but it is above all a little the voice of common sense. He who would rather play wisely protocol robots is always found embedded in stories not possible, which makes his reactions and reflections all the more funny. And 3PO has an advantage over K 2 SO: It’s just been there longer and had much more opportunity to build close ties with fans of Star Wars . But the second place, for a droid who has just landed and who will probably not have the chance to show up, is already very honorable! So, we come to say that we would have liked the end of Star Wars: Rogue One is different to be able to see him – even if Kaytoo bows with great panache. And you, which of the three do you prefer?
The post Star Wars Rogue One: K-2SO, C-3PO and R2-D2, which is the best? first appeared on The Siver Times.
