Shameless, Sense8, Orphan Black: Series that did not participate in the 2017 World Cup

It is not because they are not in competition that they have been forgotten.
This is the end of the first round of our 2017 World Cup and you still have a little time to go HERE for your favorite series ! As every year, choices have had to be made and some series have therefore been set aside since it is impossible to select absolutely all series . A short tour of the series that did not participate but that we adore nevertheless.
Shameless US
The Shameless series in the American style is still not part of our competition but it is not for lack of love. The Gallagher family continues to make us laugh and cry with their adventures and we are already looking forward to Fiona, Lip, Debbie, Ian and the others in the next season . Adapted from the British eponymous series, Shameless tells of the galleys of a large family whose parents are not exactly models. But their trials bring them closer together and always show a sense of solidarity as powerful as it is touching despite all their disputes. Even if she can not win the competition, Shameless has already won in our hearts.
Supergirl
Superman’s cousin Superman is not part of the competition but everyone knows her legendary strength and merit. Supergirl never ceases to amaze us by continuing to fight against all the assailants of National City and season 2 has ended on a grand episode . With her sister Alex at her side and gifted and courageous friends, Kara is there to repel all threats and we hope to see her continue on the CW for many more years.
Orphan Black
Sarah Manning’s clones also deserved to be part of the 2017 World Cup and you can testify to your love for Orphan Black in the comments below. The series that blends thriller and science fiction to perfection continues to amaze us with its ever more intensive and mysterious intrigues. Cloning, women’s rights to their bodies, genetic evolution … All these fascinating themes are highlighted thanks to the talent of the incredible Tatiana Maslany, who alone composes at least half of the cast.

Despite his too early cancellation, Sense8 would deserve to win all the competitions. His intrigue around eight mind-connected sensates that are fighting an organization that wants to dissect their brains is as original as well-conducted. Filming around the world, casting as talented as diversified, the message of tolerance and love that it transmits … We miss everything, but above all the cluster that we have come to know and love through the Two seasons …
Suits
Suits’ Season 7 is back this summer, July 12th, but for our Summer Series group too, we had to make choices. Yet even if it is not in this category, it does not mean that we forget it. It is always a pleasure to continue to follow the adventures of Mike and Harvey, and even more so since Mike finally became a lawyer . We can not wait to see him rework at Specter & Litt despite his sometimes heated relationship with Harvey and know what awaits them in the next season!
The Handmaid’s Tale
She arrives very quickly on OCS – June 27 more precisely – and we can only advise her: The Handmaid’s Tale offered us a first masterful season that takes to the guts. By plunging us into a dystopian future where women no longer have any rights over their bodies, the adapted series of Margaret Atwood’s novel shows a frightening world of realism . Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Top of the Lake) shines in the title role and the rest of the equally talented cast only adds to the intensity of the entire series.
Gotham
The DC series may well be out of competition this year, that does not mean that we put Gotham aside to forget it. Season 3 has just ended on the FOX but she has not been selected to be part of the Summer Series in the 2017 World Cup. Yet the adventures of James Gordon are still exciting to follow And we hope to continue learning more about the Wayne family’s past with Bruce . In short, the FOX has offered us a lively season which makes us look forward to seeing the sequel in September.
Here is a quick tour of some of the series that were not in competition but still deserve all our love. We have also not forgotten This is Us, Nashville, The Leftovers, iZombie, Big Little Lies or House of Cards that we also carry in our hearts but we had to make choices. And you, what series would you like to see in the competition?

Suits Season 6: Episode 13, Harvey makes a tantalizing proposal to Mike, Our critic

Last night, the American channel USA Network broadcast the episode 13 of season 6 of Suits. Then discover our review of “Teeth, Nose, Teeth” as well as the promotional video of the next episode.
“I’m in” … These three little words remind us especially the end of season 4 of The Good Wife and we admit to be at least equally excited to have heard them come out of Mike’s mouth. It was well known that the series could not keep Harvey and Mike separated any longer and we are eager to see how this plot will unfold . But, every thing in its time, let’s return first to episode 13 of Season 6 of Suits , which aired last night in the United States. The first plot concerns Rachel and the fact that she receives a letter stating that she will not be able to pass the bar. Of course, the young woman is in shock and hurries to talk to Louis. In an act of extreme maturity, Louis decides that it is Harvey the best placed to help Rachel and does not hesitate to inform him of the situation. If this gives rise to a very funny scene between the two characters – “sorry Louis I have to go and be better than you to something ” – we really appreciate the confidence that now reigns between Harvey and Louis.
Obviously, it would not be suits if the reason why Rachel did not have interview dates is because someone wants to push Harvey to do something for him! Again, the plot shows how much Harvey has matured since he does not give in and refuses to do anything illegal to save Rachel – although he still managed to get him a date for his interview. Meanwhile, Mike continues to work on the same case as in Episode 12 of Season 6 of Suits , and nothing happens as expected. Between the client who can not deposit the check in time, the fact that Marissa can not plead the case before the judge that Oliver is always confronted with his stress problem, Mike loses his first case . However, everything is not lost for him and Harvey makes him an offer during the episode that he will eventually accept after this defeat.
Seeing that he has a means of pressure on one of the people who decide who can be a lawyer or not, Harvey proposes to Mike to pass the bar. If he refuses initially, afraid of returning to prison, his defeat and the fact that he could not decently help his client because he is not a lawyer make him change his mind and the episode ends On: “I’m leaving,” he says when he arrives in Harvey’s office . Good news that confirms that the season is going to end in style! It will also be noted that the marriage of Rachel and Mike is back on track, that Louis also matured in his personal relationships and finally that Donna is brilliant, as usual! In episode 14, which will air next Wednesday, Harvey and Mike will try to get their plan going. But if you believe the video of Admission of Guilt , which you can see above, the plan will prove to be much more risky than what Harvey thought and he could just drop everything … What do you think You?

Suits season 6: Episode 12, will Harvey forgive his mother? Our criticism

Last night, the American channel USA Network broadcast the episode 12 of season 6 of Suits. Then discover our review of “The Painting” and the video promo of the next episode.
This week’s new episode of season 6 Suits takes us into the past of Harvey Specter with a different plot of this we usually see in the series. No new legal case for Harvey in “The Painting” , but a family affair to settle since Donna insisted he had to make peace with her mother to finally move forward in his life. So we had flashbacks of Harvey’s father’s funeral, another time of his life when he wanted to make peace with his mother. As during the funeral, Harvey fails – initially – to go all the way and forgive her mother, especially because it refuses to see his fault . This is not unusual, Harvey is someone who has difficulty in question – as can be especially seen with his recent conversations with Louis and Mike in episode 11 of season 6 of Suits.
Nevertheless, this episode shows that Harvey has matured – would it be the results of his therapy? – and he ends up seeing that he can not judge his mother’s life on a single act. Not to mention that he too has made quite a few mistakes in his life. Finally, settling his differences with his mother allows him to realize that he is not ready to be the leader of the firm and apologizes to Louis. Will the two finally succeed in working as a team? We hope in any case, especially if they want business to resume. Meanwhile, Mike received an unexpected news: someone agrees to hire him! If he will not be able to practice law, he will now manage a team of lawyers – or future lawyers – in a legal clinic that helps people in need.
We are glad to see Mike again in his element, we had missed a lot. And even though his generosity is somewhat exaggerated to our liking, we also appreciate having somewhat different legal matters before us. In addition, it allows to introduce a little fresh blood via two new characters that are already interesting to follow. One wonders how Mike will recross the way to Harvey, especially since they are not left on very good terms in the penultimate episode. Maybe we’ll find them face-to-face for some business? This could be very interesting and entertaining to see! In any case, if one believes the promo video of the next episode of season 6 Suits , Mike and Harvey will spend time together, because he wants to convince Mike to go the bar . Moreover, it seems that Rachel, meanwhile, does not succeed … It promises to be still an intense episode! What did you think of this episode?

Suits Season 6: Episode 11, Harvey and Louis try to accept the departure of Jessica, our critic!

While episode 11 of season 6 of Suits has just been broadcast on USA, let us return together on the main events that marked “PSL”!
Time to choose! And yes the meltynauts, after several weeks of absence and Jessica’s heartbreaking departure at the end of the first part of the season, our heroes had to continue to advance without her in an episode where everyone was faced with his responsibilities. While the editorial ‘of melty wondered if Rachel would also leave the firm in episode 11 of season 6 Suits , back in detail on key events in “PSL” aired last night on USA . And the least that can be said is that Jessica’s departure clearly shook Harvey who finds himself unable to make the necessary decisions to keep the firm on track. Passive, sad, desperate limit, Harvey is in a pitiful state and seeing him like that breaks our hearts. Especially since no one really made it easier for him. Between Louis who takes the worst of ways to prove his skills and Mike who decides to turn to him at the most difficult moment for him, our Harvey had something to feel bad. Suffice to say that we would have loved that the first scene of Winter Premiere has proved true as Harvey seemed pleased and appeased alongside Donna . In spite of everything, our pretty redhead – if not her girlfriend – is always as insightful and it is certain that the return of the mother of Harvey in her life should offer us a storyline as solid as upsetting.
For his part, Mike also had to make choices. Would he definitely say goodbye to the law and accept that this period was gone or was he going to fight to make his dream come true? And in our opinion, he has not yet found the answer to this question even if seeing him teach young people was absolutely delightful. Mike has this deeply human and empathic side that makes him a formidable teacher. If he could not embrace this career, our finger tells us it should probably come back a little later in the season . One thing is certain, despite his good intentions, Harvey has greatly compromised the wishes of our hero who will now have to fight like a good devil if he ever wants to start working in this sector again. Fortunately, the young man can count on the support of Rachel who never ceases to prove that she wants the best for Mike. However, Rachel is also in doubt.
Remaining in the firm would greatly compromise his chances of accomplishing himself in the trade while working with his father would allow him to completely change the situation. And while the episode played skilfully on the possibility that Rachel could drop everyone for her own benefit, a small rescue of Gretchen restored the order of things. Finally, Louis was in a very uncomfortable position in this episode proving once again that his lack of maturity made him a really incoherent candidate to replace Jessica. And we would have been so happy that this departure could have triggered a real awareness in him. Unfortunately, Louis is not yet able to pass the good of the firm before his. Nean, and like Donna, we’re not sure that Harvey is in the best position to do that. But with the judicious advice of the pretty redhead, nothing seems intolerable. In short, Suits offered us a very good entry and put all these characters at the foot of the wall. Solid, captivating, sometimes even destabilizing, the series knows how to surprise us and above all knows how to touch us. Strongly the next week !
