Equipped with a Snapdragon 835, an Adreno 530 graphics chip and 4 GB of RAM, the Xperia XZ Premium is one of the best terminals for gamers. Sony Xperia XA1 vs. Huawei P10 Lite: We compared their cameras

The Huawei P10 Lite and the Sony Xperia XA1 are two new mid-range smartphones. To decide between them, we decided to compare their cameras by taking several photos. The result is amazing!
Sony and Huawei launched a few weeks ago new smartphones in the mid-range market: the Xperia XA1 and the P10 Lite . If these two devices have everything to please, it is difficult to separate them with the naked eye, without knowing the technical sheets. At the writing, we did not hesitate to take pictures with both terminals, without changing the settings in the Photo apps. And the result is really unexpected. The Chinese smartphone seems to be more efficient than the new Japanese terminal.

If the Huawei P10 is very good in photo thanks to its dual sensor designed in partnership with Leica, the P10 Lite did not yield to the sirens of the dual photo sensor. The less muscular version of the P10 is satisfied with a single sensor of 12 megapixels which reminds us the color objective of the Huawei P9 . But the photo quality is pretty cool. Well, you’re going to put a cross on Bokeh mode or Portrait mode but, the picture quality should meet your expectations. As for the Xperia XA1 from Sony, it has an enormous photo sensor with a resolution of 23 Mpx at the back, much more than what we usually see on this segment.
As you can see from these pictures, the camera of the P10 is really not bad. Without any adjustment, its sensor makes very beautiful or even unrealistic photos (one might think that the HDR mode is activated), especially when they are displayed on the screen very bright colors of the P10 Lite . As for the Xperia XA1 Lite, its sensor is victim of a small veil, which spoils a little rendering. If the two smartphones offer nice qualities, I personally prefer to shopper a Huawei P10 whose dual photo sensor is putting everyone in agreement or, just waiting for the release of the Xperia XZ Premium that seems to tutoyer perfection . Presented at the MWC 2017, the Sony Xperia XA1 is a smartphone as elegant as the Xperia XZ Premium. We tested it for a week and here are our impressions in terms of autonomy, performance and camera.
With the Xperia XA1, Sony has redefined the concept of borderless smartphone. Its new mid-range is edgeless, only, on the sides. But leaving several millimeters between the top of the smartphone and its screen, the Japanese manufacturer has delivered a device that looks very big for a 5 inches. At the writing, we did not hesitate to compare it to a Huawei P10 Lite, a smartphone equipped with a screen of 5.2 inches, and the result is impressive. The Xperia XA1 is more impressive than a P10 Lite! Fortunately, the new mobile phone from Sony is good to take in hand and its technical sheet has something to feast on.
In terms of screen, the Sony Xperia XA1 has good arguments. Whether on a sunny terrace or in a subway, the 5-inch screen adapts to different light conditions . But it’s especially the interface of the Xperia XA1 that amazed me. In addition to its Galaxy S8 and S8 +, Samsung has unveiled several nice accessories. These include the DeX, an accessory that will allow you to turn Samsung’s new smartphone into a true desktop PC. But connecting a smartphone to a dock to turn it into a computer is not really new. HP and Motorola have already attempted this adventure, before turning back after having tutoy the failure. By fixing software problems, the Samsung DeX managed to do what others dreamed of doing. But concretely, what does it give? After spending a day with the (sublime) Galaxy S8 +, will I replace my MacBook Pro 2016 with a … smartphone? These next lines may leave you speechless!

As a journalist, I see myself already doing everything with the dock of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Marketed at 149 euros here , the DeX is the ideal backup PC . And if it seems not yet perfect for me to completely zap my MacBook, the DeX has at least the potential …
