You too do not know what you would do without your favorite series? Are you totally addicted and proud of being so? Exceptional, we’ll get along!
Hello everyone! On this sunny day, I find you for probably my most personal chronicle. If I have already mentioned with you my love for the series, I have never confided in what led me on this path. And to be totally frank with you, I think I’ve been overwhelmed by this kind of television since I was 6 years old. When you are a child, you sometimes have to deal with events that are difficult to manage. If some of them throw themselves in the sport, in an artistic activity or in books to exteriorize and escape for a few hours, my salvation came from the series. If their primary vocation is of course to entertain, I have always considered magical the faculty with which I could project myself into the world of someone else for 40 minutes. So absorbed in the adventures of one or several heroes, I came to forget what made my daily life, to find that light at the end of the road and that hope that led me to be the person that I am today, Hui. In reflecting on this chronicle, it seemed indispensable to me to speak to you about the first series of my existence, those which convinced me to one day make my profession.
The first of a long list is none other than Charmed . I was terribly young when the pilot was broadcast so much that I keep a rather frightening memory (which makes me laugh today as the driver is badly tied up). But magic fascinated me enormously at that time. Between Sabrina the Apprentice Witch and Charmed, I missed no episode of these series where strong and endearing women devoted their lives to trying to conquer the evil and this, even if it encroached on the future that they had imagined . I remember rushing to record the new episodes on four-hour tapes to the point that all my pocket money went into the purchase of blank tapes.
It’s Dawson’s Creek has absolutely changed everything. I have an unconditional love for this series which has simply transformed my life. I know that I seem a little silly in writing these lines but I do not want to underestimate its importance in my eyes. If the criticisms were fired when it was broadcast for the first time in the United States, I keep a magical memory at the same time melancholy and reassuring. I wanted to write while listening to the wonderful replicas of the characters. Obviously, none of them was of the age for these dialogues to be credible, but they carried a real message and an exceptional authenticity. It was one of the first series to dare to evoke the drug, Sex or even homosexuality with a correctness and a realism that I hardly describe . And above all, she has brought Pacey Witter into our lives and just for that she has something to mark us forever. Let me tell you, for me, Pacey is the best serial character. EVER. And her couple with Joey is my favorite. Dawson’s Creek made me dream, grow, change. And it was she who launched me into the world of television series.
It was then Newport Beach that was established in my life. I speak to you with emotion because it is the first show I discovered at the age when I was truly able to understand everything. Between well-written characters, intrigues full of surprises, superb dialogues, an amazing soundtrack and a dream setting, there’s nothing I did not like in Newport Beach as she knew how to handle drama and humor with a Ease never equaled in a teen-show . The first season is, in my opinion, a true masterpiece. Although I have seen the episodes a thousand times, they continue to give me the same emotions. I am simply admiring the work of the writers who knew how to plunge us into the world of the characters without making the slightest mistake and with actors at the top of their talent. If the other seasons have been largely underneath, Newport Beach will always have this little something that sets it apart from all the others. Above all, she reminds me of moments of complicity between mother and daughter that will remain forever in my memory.
I then cracked for Friends in a completely different way . But how not to talk about this sitcom of genius? It is simply unique. Capable of making us laugh, cry, scream or open our eyes in twenty minutes, Friends is a diamond in its pure state . Each of the intrigues is a delight and there is no episode I hate or I do not want to see again. The characters have become my friends, my family and when I feel that the morale is dropping, I have no hesitation, I run towards them knowing that they will bring back joy and energy like no one else. But there were also the Scott Brothers and their love affairs that accompanied me for years. Equally captivating and comforting,
Today, I admit to a great passion for the adventures of CW superheroes and in particular for Barry Allen who puts me in total euphoria . But it is all these series that shaped me and day after day, they have taken an increasingly important place in my universe to become essential. Basically, I can not talk about what I am without evoking them so much they have brought me over the years. Even now, they are my main refuge even though I am now facing adult problems. More than ever, it gives me that hope and strength to continue in spite of everything. They do not replace my family or friends, but they are indispensable to my survival as though they alone could solve my internal conflicts . So I would like to thank them and greet the person who created the very first series. Thanks to her, this television genre is part of my identity and it has no price.

Hello everyone! I hope you are okay and have had a delightful weekend. I find you today with a new time slot to share another highlight of my little life of seriesphile. And this week I decided to come back to an inevitable phenomenon on American television: the reign of superheroes. In the space of a few years, these characters unlike the others have become imposed become inescapable on the American channels. A trend that has replaced that of the teen-show until then master of the small screen. Let it be said, most networks have succumbed and offer us to follow a television adaptation of a marking and intense comics . If Marvel makes a sensation in the cinema, DC Comics dominates on American television. Between successes that are no longer to be proved and the series that should soon land, the superhero has become an attractive figure that combines all the elements that make up a blockbuster with this accessibility that offers television.
With Arrow, Gotham or even Luke Cage, you no longer have to pay for his cinema place to undertake a journey full of action and special effects, just sit comfortably in his sofa. Through epic adventures and always spectacular, these heroes will exceed fail, get up and live their lives to 2000% . Because, basically, it is exactly their strength: they are deeply human and it is therefore terribly easy to identify with them. One attaches and hopes each week that their fight will end well. Better, these series have the advantage of taking place in a universe where almost everything is possible. Whether it is time trips, resurrections, magical powers or evil look-alike, creative teams have a support where their imagination can flourish without limits. The opportunity for them to try out mind-blowing cliffhangers with which viewers are sure to lose their means. At the time of writing, I have a passion for the four series that occupy the first four days of the week on the network. We must say the strong messages conveyed by these productions are for many!
We have all our moments of crisis, black periods which we have difficulties to get out and these superheroes are sometimes a real comfort. Because beyond possessing extraordinary gifts, they put words on feelings that can sometimes break us from within. They teach us to never give up even when it seems unnecessary and to fight for what is really important. They also teach us to accept ourselves as we are and to love our differences. In a world where you always have to go into huts, the superheroes honor their distinctions. Love it or hate it, there is no denying that these series transmit essential values and who we can find an echo in each of us . With powerful ingredients and ever more loyal fans, success should be there for a few more years.

While the end of the year is fast approaching, the editor of Melty has decided to return to all those moments that left us speechless in 2016!

What ??? And yes the meltynauts, the series is just as much your passion as ours and if we love them as much, it is also because they sometimes manage to get us down. Between twists, cliffhangers and WTF moments, in 2016, we did not have much respite and that is what is good. While the editorial ‘of melty proposing you to discover our top 8 of the dead that we should have seen coming , back together on all these incredible moments. And we obviously begin with The Walking Dead which is absolutely not the last to propose us many reversals of situations. After having torn the heart with Glenn and assassinations of Abraham by Negan, that she proposed us to discover Daryl locked in a cell in Saviors and forced to listen to music as catchy as devilishly oppressive . At that very moment, we almost felt we had been transported to another universe. But The Walking Dead did not stop there and also shocked us when Negan “checked” if Spencer had guts in the middle of a scene out of time since the Big Bad of the new season was playing Quietly billiards before the entire population of Alexandria. Let it be said, bluntly Negan revolutionized the iconic series of AMC and has regularly left us speechless. On his side, Arrow left us on a cliffhanger of thunder with the return of Laurel.
And we can say that the writers have done strong since no clue has been revealed about the true identity of the young woman. Is this the true Laurel miraculously resurrected or his evil double of Earth-2? We will have to wait to find out. But after a first part of season in half tint, this revelation has enough to amaze us! Meanwhile, The Vampire Diaries featured standout WTF moments. Indeed, the last two enemies of our favorite heroes do not intend to let themselves be done and intends to stay in the annals. So we discovered Seline gaily eating the human flesh of poor Georgia. A scene hard to watch and that will certainly give some nightmares to some of you . Also note the moment when Matt discovers that his friend Tyler died and that his crocodile tears did not convince anyone. At the dawn of its last episodes, The Vampire Diaries continues to offer us stunning passages. On her side, Gray’s Anatomy offered us a love triangle as funny as strange alongside Meredith, Nathan and Maggie. Who would have thought that our heroine could get caught up in this kind of story? But The Flash was not afraid to take his winter break on a real cliffhanger.
Indeed, by offering viewers a vision of the future in which Iris is murdered by Savitar without Barry being able to do anything to save her, The Flash offered us heavy. Our hero therefore has five months to prevent such an event from happening. Will he succeed? Can the series survive without Iris and the WestAllen couple? We will have to wait for the recovery to find out more. In Pretty Little Liars we have not forgotten this crazy moment during which poor Aria discovers live that her fiancé has found her ex without hesitating a single second to kiss her in front of several cameras. Is there a more humiliating way to discover that your boyfriend is cheating you on TV? But the series did not stop there and ended on three cliffhangers simply scary. Spencer and Toby are now between life and death while Mary Drake proved to be the biological mother of Spencer . The last episodes of the show Freeform are therefore very tense. Finally, Shadowhunters also made high level revelations. Between the fact that Clary and Jace share the same father, the change of camp of Jace and the kiss Malec, we had enough to fall from our chair in 2016. One thing is certain, we are eager to find all our favorite series in 2017 for even more cliffhangers and WTF moments. And you, what is your favorite cliffhanger or WTF moment of 2016?

The day … Negan off a wave of despair in The Walking Dead!

You too are absolutely torn since the arrival of Negan? You do not know how to handle this violence but you’re still fans? Outstanding, we will be able chat!

Hello everyone! I hope you are well despite the cold winter that has recently hit the country. Fortunately, the crossover event which brings together Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl what we warm the heart and I must admit that I have difficulty to hide my enthusiasm as I am delighted to see all the heroes CW united against the Dominators. But this week, I wanted to return to The Walking Dead. After you largely explained why the series was not made for me in the day … I succumbed to madness The Walking Dead , I needed to share with you my feelings since Negan landed in the show. And we’re not going to lie, the guy is simply scary and ruthless. Apart from the fact that every hardcore respecting Negan knew that would be a charismatic villain determined, about our ignorance of the tempestuous nature of the man with the bat, we had very nearly underestimated. When I say that, I think back very clearly to the episode where our heroes have infiltrated the satellite camp to kill each Savior they crossed . At this point, we know that this can not be as easy but we remain hopeful that our favorite band is sufficiently equipped mentally and physically to at least hold their head finally, if like me, you did not read comics. But in reality, all this was just the beginning of the rise of a stairway to what would certainly be one of the most important events in the life of Rick. And we can say that we waited the first confrontation between the two leaders and despite all our assumptions, difficult to be able to provide such a level of violence AMC .
Violence which has even led the US CSA to investigate this particular episode to find out if this eagerness was consistent with the context. And the death of Abraham and Glenn are still almost impossible to digest. Honestly, I think everybody was attached to Glenn to a different degree. For me it was the right arm of Rick, wisdom incarnate, the hope of the group, comforting element of the show. It was both everything and nothing because no person can claim invincible and indispensable in the world so chaotic of The Walking Dead, but it was the essence of humanity. I wish like Glenn I had to confront if me a horrible world. I wish I had her courage and determination. I would have liked to continue to love, to laugh, to believe when all others have lost faith . In short, and as much I wanted him to survive. But as sad as I am to have lost, I have to admit that his death marked a turning painful but effective course that offered Negan door masterful entrance. Negan’s crazy but it would be even more crazy to try to compete with it. Damn that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is talented! We already knew if one is addicted to Grey’s Anatomy but then it still affects sacred peaks reaching change his voice, his gait and even his facial expressions according to the wishes and follies of his character.
So for the moment, and with the departure of Glenn, more hope is truly enabled and see Daryl in this state, it is a burst heart of every moment. Personally, I devote it a boundless commitment and I bite my nails when I see if reached. Many complain because we start from community to community without taking the time to settle down for good, but unfortunately, that was the goal of the writers. After almost made us believe that Rick’s group was the only survivor in the midst of zombies and rubble, we are forced to admit that some are doing much better . I find it interesting to discover the strengths, weaknesses and the level of loyalty of each and I admit that I am particularly intrigued by the Oceanside community dramaticalement other changes. The seventh chapter should bring a new dimension to the series and allow us to watch the intrigues with a new perspective as Rick and the others are the only ones to evolve but mostly operate in this post apocalyptic world where only the strongest and smartest survive. Negan has emerged as the leader of this change and we love him or hate him, he brings with him a breath of fresh air that disrupts both certainties and those of our hero.
Nevertheless, and despite the hype, I still love the series and want to watch the episodes. Yet those who know me know that I must have the well hung nerves to revel in this kind of violence. I so can not wait to see all groups to unite in order to enter an inevitable war. I’m looking forward to Negan down from its pedestal because we all know it: “Not Today, Not Tomorrow, Rick will kill him” and it will be such a joy that I can not help but wait with delight . Yes, hearings are falling in the United States; yes, some things are not necessarily as we expected them and yes, some episodes are very very slow but the spirit of The Walking Dead is still intact and that’s it, it’s still the main! Watch Out Negan, here they come!
