The Originals season 4: Episode 13, the end of “Always and Forever”, our critic of the final season!

Last night, the American channel The CW broadcast episode 13 of season 4 of The Originals. Then discover our review of “The Feast of All Sinners”, the final season!
For this last episode of season 4, The Originals decided to play the card of emotion rather than that of tension and suspense, and the least we can say is that it worked rather well. It was indeed necessary to leave the handkerchiefs several times and the end of the episode leaves us to wonder how will be able to function the season 5 because this final season had great airs of final series . Episode 13 of season 4 of The Originals begins while Vincent explains his plan to the Mikaelson: divide the Hollow into four and put each part in one of the Mikaelson because it requires powerful beings. If this plan looks awesome at first, it hides a most difficult condition to accept for the original family: They will not be able to see each other again. The goal is to keep the Hollow separate so that it can not be reconstituted.
This news is hard to digest for them, especially Rebekah who refuses to be separated from her brothers, but also for Freya who feels helpless and who will see her family again torn. Unfortunately, there are no other solutions and as they are all ready to do anything to save Hope, they will go to the end of their plan. But, apart from having to stay away from each other, they will also have to stay away from Hope, a painful achievement for Klaus who just found his little girl early in the season after 5 years of separation. We are also seeing a heart-rending separation between Hayley and Elijah, who never really took the time to clear things up after Hayley’s stay in the pendant . Will they ever find each other again? The sequence of events in any case actually complicates this possibility.
While the ritual has worked, they all have to separate, without being entitled to a “goodbye” worthy of the name. Hope is released and Klaus succeeds in articulating a “I love you” before having to leave, a scene that broke our hearts … But it is not the only one because we find then Marcel and Elijah and it Demands to force him to forget his promise of “forever and ever” , to forget his family. Indeed, Elijah has always stolen from Klaus, he has always sacrificed everything for his family and that is his greatest weakness. He can not resist the need to help Klaus – and the others – and this could put them in danger of the Hollow.
Now that they are separated, will they finally be able to find happiness on their side? This seems to be the case in any case for Kol, Freya and Rebekah who found Marcel in New York. Even Elijah seems free, and Hayley finally has what she wants for Hope: a life away from the violence of the Mikaelson family. We find them both in Mystic Falls in the school of magic of Caroline and Alaric, with a surprise appearance of it! The one for whom this separation may be the hardest is probably Klaus. The Originals Season 4: Episode 12, One Last Hope for Hope, Our Critic

Check out our critic of episode 12 of season 4 of The Originals, which aired last night on the American channel The CW.
There is only one episode left in this fourth season of The Originals and the stakes have never been so high for the Mikaelson since the Hollow took possession of the little Hope’s body and it seems almost impossible to recover it. After some rather clumsy episodes, the series offers us a penultimate and more touching episode, and it feels good . All the characters are finally united for a common goal, that of saving the most innocent of all: Hope. If episode 12 of season 4 of The Originals begins with all – or almost – the characters celebrating the defeat of the Hollow, the characters realize in turn that the threat is still present. Even worse, The Hollow joined Hope and took little possession of her body. When the symbol of the Hollow is complete on the arm of Klaus’s daughter, it will mean that it will belong to him definitively. Once a custom, a new race against time begins for the Mikaelson, Marcel, Vincent and even Sofya.
It must be admitted that, for once, it is really good to see them working together, leaving the rancor and the old wounds aside. While Klaus enters Hope’s mind, trying to help him fight the power of the Hollow, the others are responsible for distracting their enemies so that Vincent can realize the fate that his mother had used on her Centuries to imprison it for ever. Unfortunately for them, she is already too powerful and she manages to fully control Hope’s body. Klaus is not ready to give up on the one who is “his heart and soul” and he then asks that all the characters present face part of the promise “always and forever” ” ) To save Hope. This gives Vincent an idea that he thinks he has found a solution to save Hope, but that would also mean the end of this promise , “always and forever” … The final season looks intense!
Otherwise, it is important to make a small point about the different relationships of the series. If Freya finally succeeds in letting go of Keelin by revealing his feelings and offering us touching scenes , we can not say that Rebekah and Elijah have the same result from their sides. After kissing in episode 11 of season 4 of The Originals , Rebekah thinks there is still a way to save his relationship with Marcel. It was not counting on his feelings for Sofya – even if, let’s be honest, it shows that Rebekah does not leave him indifferent . As for Elijah, the poor, Hayley has not spoken to him since he came back from the dead. Ouch . Hayley has seen very dark and violent things in Elijah’s mind and she does not yet know if she can be with him while wanting to protect Hope and keep her innocence. We hope that the final season will address all these questions and we look forward to seeing how this new chapter will end! What did you think of this episode?

Marcel Gerard (The Originals)
Marcel has a particularly moving story and he has been a faithful Mikaelson for so long that we have always been disappointed with the lack of recognition of these. And what was to happen happened. After the deaths of Cami and Davina, Marcel understood that no one could enter this family much too tight . And while we had known him calm, nice and funny, he became angry, bitter and sad about the CW . Our hero has embraced the forces of evil but it is not Klaus who will be able to throw the first stone at him.
Barry Allen (The Flash)
If you’ve seen the last episode of The Flash, you know that Savitar’s identity has finally been revealed and that the Big Bad of the new season is none other than the Flash of the Future. Our Barry Allen, so gentle, so kind and so generous, ended by embracing the darkness and killing the woman of her life. Fetish characters! And yes, the meltynauts, they sometimes happen to have a huge blow of heart for a character who was destined to disappear very quickly. It must be said that some of them fit so well into the universe of our favorite series that they quickly become our favorites obliging the screenwriters to review their copy to offer them a much more crucial role in the plot. And it happens much more often than is believed. While the editor of melty suggested you discover our top 6 moments that made us cry in The Vampire Diaries , here are 5 characters who should have died and who have finally survived thanks to the love of the public!
Sara Lance – Legends of Tomorrow / Arrow
If you follow all the Arrowverse series, you know that the beautiful Sara Lance is already dead twice before becoming one of the main characters of Legends of Tomorrow. Fighting, determined, intelligent and cunning, Sara quickly took over her sister to the point that it was she who was the first Canary . Strong but also fallible, it would have been a pity to dispense with a character like Sara as much as it was much appreciated by fans and that, the screenwriters have understood.
Jack Shephard – LOST
And yes, it may seem surprising given that Jack was still the main character of the show but he should have died right from the pilot! Jasper Jordan – The 100
Remember, Jasper gets pounded by a stick in the first few minutes of the pilot before returning quickly as if by magic. Know that he should have died at this precise moment but that the screenwriters found him so endearing and so funny that they could not bring himself to kill him so brutally.
