Gossip Girl
The end of the series that followed the adventures of Blair, Serena, Nate or even Chuck could be translated as bullshit and company. With six seasons of love and betrayal, we had become rags in a lethargic state. Because if the show began to seriously get out of breath, a mystery and a single one kept us in suspense: who was the mysterious Gossip Girl? The death of Jenna

The day … I fell in love with the series!

You too do not know what you would do without your favorite series? Are you totally addicted and proud of being so? Exceptional, we’ll get along!
Hello everyone! On this sunny day, I find you for probably my most personal chronicle. If I have already mentioned with you my love for the series, I have never confided in what led me on this path. And to be totally frank with you, I think I’ve been overwhelmed by this kind of television since I was 6 years old. When you are a child, you sometimes have to deal with events that are difficult to manage. If some of them throw themselves in the sport, in an artistic activity or in books to exteriorize and escape for a few hours, my salvation came from the series. If their primary vocation is of course to entertain, I have always considered magical the faculty with which I could project myself into the world of someone else for 40 minutes. So absorbed in the adventures of one or several heroes, I came to forget what made my daily life, to find that light at the end of the road and that hope that led me to be the person that I am today, Hui. In reflecting on this chronicle, it seemed indispensable to me to speak to you about the first series of my existence, those which convinced me to one day make my profession.
The first of a long list is none other than Charmed . I was terribly young when the pilot was broadcast so much that I keep a rather frightening memory (which makes me laugh today as the driver is badly tied up). But magic fascinated me enormously at that time. Between Sabrina the Apprentice Witch and Charmed, I missed no episode of these series where strong and endearing women devoted their lives to trying to conquer the evil and this, even if it encroached on the future that they had imagined . I remember rushing to record the new episodes on four-hour tapes to the point that all my pocket money went into the purchase of blank tapes.
It’s Dawson’s Creek has absolutely changed everything. I have an unconditional love for this series which has simply transformed my life. I know that I seem a little silly in writing these lines but I do not want to underestimate its importance in my eyes. If the criticisms were fired when it was broadcast for the first time in the United States, I keep a magical memory at the same time melancholy and reassuring. I wanted to write while listening to the wonderful replicas of the characters. Obviously, none of them was of the age for these dialogues to be credible, but they carried a real message and an exceptional authenticity. It was one of the first series to dare to evoke the drug, Sex or even homosexuality with a correctness and a realism that I hardly describe . And above all, she has brought Pacey Witter into our lives and just for that she has something to mark us forever. Let me tell you, for me, Pacey is the best serial character. EVER. And her couple with Joey is my favorite. Dawson’s Creek made me dream, grow, change. And it was she who launched me into the world of television series.
It was then Newport Beach that was established in my life. I speak to you with emotion because it is the first show I discovered at the age when I was truly able to understand everything. Between well-written characters, intrigues full of surprises, superb dialogues, an amazing soundtrack and a dream setting, there’s nothing I did not like in Newport Beach as she knew how to handle drama and humor with a Ease never equaled in a teen-show . The first season is, in my opinion, a true masterpiece. Although I have seen the episodes a thousand times, they continue to give me the same emotions. I am simply admiring the work of the writers who knew how to plunge us into the world of the characters without making the slightest mistake and with actors at the top of their talent. If the other seasons have been largely underneath, Newport Beach will always have this little something that sets it apart from all the others. Above all, she reminds me of moments of complicity between mother and daughter that will remain forever in my memory.
I then cracked for Friends in a completely different way . But how not to talk about this sitcom of genius? It is simply unique. Capable of making us laugh, cry, scream or open our eyes in twenty minutes, Friends is a diamond in its pure state . Each of the intrigues is a delight and there is no episode I hate or I do not want to see again. The characters have become my friends, my family and when I feel that the morale is dropping, I have no hesitation, I run towards them knowing that they will bring back joy and energy like no one else. But there were also the Scott Brothers and their love affairs that accompanied me for years. Equally captivating and comforting,
Today, I admit to a great passion for the adventures of CW superheroes and in particular for Barry Allen who puts me in total euphoria . But it is all these series that shaped me and day after day, they have taken an increasingly important place in my universe to become essential. Basically, I can not talk about what I am without evoking them so much they have brought me over the years. Even now, they are my main refuge even though I am now facing adult problems. More than ever, it gives me that hope and strength to continue in spite of everything. They do not replace my family or friends, but they are indispensable to my survival as though they alone could solve my internal conflicts . So I would like to thank them and greet the person who created the very first series. Thanks to her, this television genre is part of my identity and it has no price.

It’s hard to get over it! And yes the meltynauts, even if the series ended a few weeks ago, its absence weighs heavily on our morale. After eight years of good and loyal service, it was difficult not to notice that the show had a central place on the American network. While Melty wrote you to discover our top 10 episodes of The Vampire Diaries , here are 12 things you do not know about the series that enchanted us for several years on the CW .
1 – Kevin Williamson, who was behind the success of Dawson’s Creek, was determined to offer a role to James Van Der Beek, who played the main role of the series. Indeed, the actor nearly played the role of Alaric before it was finally given to Matt Davis.

Go back! And yes the meltynauts, our sorrow is simply huge since the Vampire Diaries left us a little more than a week on the CW . Even though the Series Finale was epic, we can not contain our disappointment that we had to say goodbye to a show that will have deeply marked us over the years. And as we understand your suffering, we decided to offer you a top 10 of the best episodes of The Vampire Diaries. Are you ready ? Let’s go !
10 – Episode 11, Season 5 – 500 Years of Solitude
Let’s start with the 100th episode of the series. A real success so much he had been able to combine action and twists. First, how to forget that it was this episode that saw Caroline and Klaus give their first kiss (and more, if affinities)? But this is also the time when our favorite Katherine Pierce will join the Hells not without allowing the heroes of Mystic Falls to remember all that she has made them undergo!
9 – Episode 1, Season 2 – The Return

A brilliantly orchestrated episode that knew how to touch us deeply . More than ever, we had to hold back our tears in front of forty minutes full of sadness, melancholy, love and friendship.
7 – Episode 22, Season 3 – The Departed
As the gentle Elena had spent the majority of the season trying to bring Stefan back to her, she realized that she also had feelings for Damon. Tagged, she finally decided to choose Stefan. The opportunity for us to discover that the young woman had met Damon first and see her turning herself into a vampire. A situation that marked a turning point in the series.
6 – Episode 23, Season 4 – Graduation
This final season was a real concentration of pure emotions. Between Elena’s declaration of love and Damon, Klaus’s desire to be Caroline’s last love and the graduation of our heroes, everything was orchestrated to make us melt in tears … except may – to be the revelation of the identity of Silas! How could we not fall from our chair when we learned that it was actually the evil look-alike of Stefan? We had not seen him come at all!
5 – Episode 5, Season 3 – The Reckoning
Here is an episode that will have marked us with his suspense. While Stefan let her Ripper temperament break out, Caroline and Tyler finally decided to go out together. But we especially remember the final scene that saw Stefan call Elena with “A Drop in A Ocean” in background music . One of the most beautiful Stelena moments in the series: “I Love You, Stefan. Hold on to that.”
2 – Episode 21, Season 2 – The Sun Also Rises
Everything in this episode was immensely sad. Whether it was the death of Jenna, John’s sacrifice through the funeral, nothing was ever the same afterwards. The first significant death, she made Elena a stronger and much less vulnerable character . We will also remember the two brothers Salvatore more than ever determined to protect the daughter of their dreams after events that would change it forever.
1 – Episode 7 – Season 2 – Masquerade
Katherine’s plan was finally revealed in an episode that still remains today in our memories as it is punctuated by action, suspense, surprise, unforgettable replicas, revenge and love. We like the moment when Katherine finds herself locked in a room with the brothers Salvatore but also when they manage to proudly lock her in the cave. In short, a real success at all levels. While The Vampire Diaries just bows out, we are still in mourning as we were addicted to the adventures of the heroes of Mystic Falls. And to celebrate an addictive series, here are 15 things we will miss!
It’s now over! And yes the meltynauts, after long hoping that all this could be a mere nightmare, we must now go to the obvious: The Vampire Diaries, it’s finished for good . Despite everything, the most iconic show of the CW will continue to live in our hearts and also on Netflix if the urge takes you to make you an incredible marathon. While we are trying to turn the page, the editor of melty wanted to take stock of everything we were going to miss. Because although the series was probably not the most brilliant in the world, it offered us absolutely fantastic moments and it’s time to pay her the tribute she deserves!
15 – The cliffhangers
What would the series with sharp fangs without its multiple twists? We’ll admit that The Vampire Diaries has managed to impress us on many occasions. Hello everyone! Today, we find ourselves for the most difficult chronicle I’ve had to write so far. I must confess that I am still totally upset by the Final Series of The Vampire Diaries . If I knew that I would dedicate this number to the most emblematic show of the CW , I did not know that I would literally have my heart broken by writing these lines. True, it was not the most brilliant series of all time, but she accompanied me for eight years and each season, each episode, each scene, each replica, every second represents a stage of my existence. This is the strength of a TV show and that is certainly why I have a special passion for this format that transports me like nothing else in the world can do . So, yesterday morning, when I discovered the latest images of The Vampire Diaries, I could not help crying in tears, saying goodbye to a period of my life that I would never forget. I felt so emptied that I decided to see the driver again but I was so overwhelmed by the emotion that I decided to pause and come directly to write my impressions after a Series Finale as epic as was The trip that started in 2009 on the American network. As I already told you, I immediately succumbed to the charm of the series. Touched by the characters, by the story and by the masterful way in which the script team managed to offer us magical moments with only words and a passive result, I had a sudden and unexplainable blow. I always had a weakness for the teen shows but they also corresponded to my age and this bubble that we build when we are only 15 years old. For The Vampire Diaries , everything was very different. I was 20 years old and I already had this culture seriesphile if I can afford to speak this way. After Dawson’s Creek , I had only one desire: Discover the new pearl of Kevin Williamson and I was not disappointed savoring every moment of the first seasons with an enthusiasm that I remember with a big smile on my lips. The series managed to get me through the whole palette of emotions and knew to surprise me better than any other . When I look back at this period, I can not help being grateful because I do not want to forget those cliffhangers who remain, still now, my best television moments for nothing in the world.
Over time, inevitably, the intrigues have crumbled and the extraordinary of the beginnings has turned into an incredible disappointment. After being so good, hard not to blame the writers for falling sometimes very low. To the rhythm of the evolutions, the deaths, the departures, the bad guys and the love stories, I remained faithful to the post sometimes wishing that it stopped while there was still time. Today, when the final episode was broadcast, I can not contain my grief. I am happy with this Series Finale and even though it seemed very frustrating, it had the looks of greatness. A charm of the first seasons that knew how to touch my heart. When I started the series, I was deeply on Damon’s side. His sarcastic, passionate and whole side seduced me enormously. And at that moment, I would have accepted without a doubt the end that Julie Plec and his team offered us last night. But I have since taken a step back and have seen the episodes quite a few times to realize that the true hero of the story was none other than Stefan. His quest did not end before this final episode, but he literally did everything he could to be forgiven for his mistakes. He gave everything for Elena and although I can not consider myself a Stelena or a Delena, I am categorically behind Stefan . Looking at “I Was Feeling Epic” , I realized that I was hoping for his happy ending more than anything. Admittedly, Caroline was always my favorite character but without really realizing it, I had put my whole soul in the hope that he would get what he wanted for so long: His redemption. I know he had what he wanted in a certain way but when I saw the pilot and his immediate and unselfish love for Elena, I would have liked him to taste the real happiness at least a little before we Saying goodbye.
As sad as I may have been by discovering the latest images in the series, I also felt what the writers had wanted to convey to us. In real life, everything does not always end well. Sometimes we have broken hearts, losing the most important person in our lives, suffering from despair, believing that we will never be able to overcome an obstacle, but ultimately, A better existence will never fly away. Those who have left us have never really disappeared and we will find them one day . Above all, the series was not a romantic story in spite of appearances but a series whose main theme was the family.
You can tell me what you want, but The Vampire Diaries has marked me forever . I would never forget Mystic Falls and the characters who lived there. It is finished today but I console myself by saying to me that it is by continuing to pay tribute to the best assets of the series that it will endure forever. I am clearly cheesy in writing your lines, forgive me. I have really invested in the last eight years and maybe more than I imagined. The show has made many missteps but I would retain the flashes of geniuses and the extraordinary replicas of which I foolishly fell in love with the episodes. The actors shed a few tears while reading the script and were very moved when shooting their last scenes. The death of Tyler

Last night the American channel The CW broadcast episode 15 of season 8 of The Vampire Diaries. Then discover our review of “We’re Planning a June Wedding”, the penultimate episode!
“We have all made terrible mistakes in our lives, made things that no excuse can cure. But you just have to go ahead, try to find new happiness no matter what you lost. What is strange is that: losing these people is what brought us closer together. That’s how we found ourselves. This is what made us a family “… These words spoken by Alaric as Caroline walks towards the altar perfectly represent the series and the bond that unites the different characters. For the first time in a long time, they are All united for a common purpose, without some trying to double the others and where none of them is the “bad guy . ” As we approach the end of the series, It feels good to have this cohesion within the group, where even Bonnie succeeds in putting her anger and rancor to one side to attend the wedding of her best friend. Episode 15 of The Vampire Diaries’ season8 mixes what the series does best, both touching and beautiful scenes and last-minute twists leaving characters between life and death.
